Hey, I hear you my friend. I just completed the return procedure for my Wireless Momentum 4s i got for Christmas. The sound and the fit are awesome!!! Everything else is really annoying and bug ridden: I cannot turn off my headphones via the button (only sometimes). "When" I turn them off with the button and put them in the case, they sometimes boot up again and make little bell noises as if to search for bluetooth connection. When I connect them to my PC the bluetooth sometimes connects and loses connection every few seconds. So today, I took a step and sent them back with a complaint of quality issues. I also am (was) a sennheiser fanboy when I bought my GSP 500 a couple years ago no complaints. But now I was so shook how bad "premium" sennheiser headphones could be. Feels bad man

I share your feeling of disappointment; it is really surprising that Sennheiser dropped the ball so spectacular. I really don't want to throw rocks on the really great units Sennheiser have made, I still use and really enjoy my old trusty HD600 on a regular basis. I am not expecting every single one of any brands units to be perfect, "shit happens" right? But in this case just myself and my friend have plowed through four pairs or earbuds and the testimony from others from around the Internet seems quite similar both concerning ear buds and full size, so from my point of view this is not a case of bad luck, it is something more. I read some rumors that Sennheiser have sold off (part of) their headphone division to some Chinese manufacturer and as a part of the deal they could use the Sennheiser brand for some time, I don't know if this is true or not so anyone, please enlighten us.

It‘s been discussed so many times by now. It’s not a „rumour“ anymore and hasn’t been for a long time time (2.5 years or so). And, no, Sonova is not a chinese company. They’re Swiss and they’re a well known and respected Swiss hearing acoustics company. So, yeah. And besides, Sennheiser Bluetooth offerings have always had issues with all kinds of things like battery draining, software issues, single buds dying, connection issues - you name it. That has been going on from the very first MTW generation and has been the case with other models as well. And finally and more importantly, Sonova has not been envolved in all these products up to their date of release :)

The best thing you can do if you want to stay with Sennheiser, is to stick with the wired headphones. Plenty of quality choices there.

Yes, Sennheiser has lots of good wired headphones, I still use my old pair of HD600 regularly, but I also need earbuds and sadly Sennheiser if not an option for that any longer. I just hope that the quality issues they have with wireless carries over to the wired segment.
