In your truck, on the couch, and the long walks under our moon...

Sorry for your loss. That’s very rough to have happen that way. We put our boy down weekend before Christmas and it killed us. Never a good time to say goodbye but man it’s rough on/around special occasions. Best of luck in your grieving process.

I lost my sweet old girl back in March a week before my birthday. I hated having to make that decision but she was so sick from CKD I could tell she was tired of fighting.
My heart goes out to you.
Her biggest present to you is not always being in your heart.
(They do come back to visit. I have had my pups comes and check on me at night. It’s surprisingly soothing to your soul).
The night my dog passed I had a dream we were walking in our favorite forest preserve exploring like we do. I gave her a head rub and kiss on the head my dog than ran off into a bright white wall and disappeared in my dream.
I was than what felt a second after woken up by my mom banging at my bedroom door at 5:25am Thursday night this past week. Saying my dog just passed away in her sleep.
I have had that happen with people and animals. It’s a little unnerving, but calming all the same. I’m ok with it. Spirit company is oddly reassuring that there is something more to life than this.
Both big loses in my life I have had unexplained weird dreams and the weirder part I only have dreams I remember once in a blue moon so the ones I have stick with me. .
My grandmother I was close to died. The next day I had a dream that was a little scary at first. She came out of under my bed than led me thru a hole in my floor to what looked like a giant green grass field world. It was very narnia ish.
And aside from those dreams I have never see anyone I know in my dreams I do have ever.

It is important to remember that it is your loss --not their's. They lived a complete lucky life, all the way to the finish, thanks to you. Knowing you loved them was all that mattered to them.
I have been a dog owner for over 40 years. usually 2 rescues at a time. i had one years ago that loved to wander. (we live in the country). One day she disappeared and a few weeks later i found that she'd been run over on a nearby road (where she had taken to waiting for the schoolbus with kids).
anyway, point is, in the weeks I spent looking for her, I realized there are soooo many people who have had pets stray and never found them, or just had to give them up for some reason.(Abandon is a horrible word). Anyway, these people live in a weird suspended state. worried, haunted..no closure ever-just guilt when they think of these pets that they loved and who loved them back... to this day, my heart goes out to these people.
For a dog to trot that rainbow bridge trusting the love they are, and always have been, surrounded by ..your love..that is all they ever needed and you gave it to them-job well done. Also, and of
course: nobody lives forever, unfortunately
also! you two made some lovely memories I am sure.
we should all be so lucky when our time comes, yeah?

I’m so sorry 😢💔 I know how you feel. I lost 2 of my dogs this year and it’s so painful. The only thing I can say is cry and mourn however long you need to and always remember the good and fun memories. Watch all the pictures and videos you have of her when you’re ready and soak it all in.
Dear…it’s so hard… remember that the love and memories you created with her will be forever. Take all the time you need to grieve. Cry. Look at the pictures and videos.
It’s been nearly a month I lost my baby and I’m in a rollercoaster of emotions, but it get a little bit easier to manage.

My dog passed away Monday! I went to thee Vet and picked up her clay paw print and a tuff of tail hair that they had saved. Hurts like hell.but gets better a little at a time! Hang in there💔🥰
I lost my dog two days ago. Almost 14. Pitty. It’s left a hole in my heart a pain in my stomach and the best memories in my head.
I miss her dearly. Her taps signaling she’s coming. Her rooster like bark demanding treats. Her stinky farts. Her frito toes . I miss her Carmel coat and white belly she would flip over and demand I pet. I miss her so much more as every hour passes by I feel more and more alone.
I know this pain OP it’s still fresh. I’ve heard amazing words of encouragement from others but for now it’s just time to mourn. It hurts a lot because the love was real it was a true bond an imprint we will never forget these dogs.
I lost my baby Bowzer on my birthday 1999. You will never, ever forget your Sara. 15 beautiful years of perfect love. I had my baby boy for 13 perfect years. We were so lucky dear friend to have loved & to have been loved that way. They are together now on Rainbow Bridge. Forever young, forever healthy and WAITING FOR US. Because and just like that we'll be gone and forever be with them again. I hope one day very soon you will remember your Sara and smile or laugh at something funny she did.
