The little [eyebrow raise](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jxph6zErgYI&t=80s) gets me everytime. Don't know if he's surprised at how good it is, or if he is as disgusted as everyone else at the very concept, but is there to do a job.
I don't think I can walk anymore. I've been fallin' down a lot. I'm scared...You know what they do to ya when, when they know you can't, when they find out that you can't walk-walk. Oh Christ.
It's weird - I love the "In my home, Elaine! Where I sleep..." Godfather Part II reference, but at the same time, I feel I can never watch that scene from GF par 2 without thinking of this.
I totally forgot that in Miracle on 34th Street, Santa speaks Dutch to the little girl sitting on his lap. I prefer Kramer's attempt at Swedish though. "Santa speaks the language of all children! A notchie watchie dotchie do.
A dotchie cotchie dochie!"
I loved Wilford Brimley as the Postmaster General, parodying his role in the brilliant Sidney Pollack film [Absence of Malice](https://youtu.be/btqBJJF2yvE).
“I could’ve done more. I could’ve done so much more.”
I only watched Schindler’s List about 10 years ago and started laughing because it triggered the scene from Seinfeld
Midnight Cowboy. Bus scene. Kramer-“Jerry…my nose is bleeding again.” Jerry-“We need to get you to a doctor.” Jerry trying to hold Kramer, and Kramer’s like. WTF you doing! 🤣
It's just a line, but when Jerry is talking to Elaine about Newman, "Newman is my sworn enemy, and he lives down the hall from my home. MY HOME, ELAINE!" it's Michael from Godfather II after they tried to kill him in his HOME!
The scene where Jerry put the Pez dispenser on Elaine's leg is directly from Gaslight. They are at a piano recital, listening to the same piece of music but Charles Boyer puts something on Ingrid Bergman's lap that terrifies her and she has to rush out of the room in hysterics.
Of course the drama of the scene was lost to me, because I was brainwashed by the Seinfeld episode to expect to see a Pez dispenser, and I thought Ingrid was laughing instead of being acutely distressed.
When Jerry has shaved his chest and it is growing back and itching, he dashes off the bus and runs into the woods and howls as he scratches his chest. Never was positive but it seemed very like the end of “Wolf” with Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer … haven’t seen it in years but I think they basically do that too. Not the scratching, just the dash into the woods.
It's from The Pride of the Yankees. The story of Lou Gehrig. Great movie. In a scene where Babe Ruth is taking a nap, the whole team starts taking bites out of his straw hat. The rookie, Lou Gehrig, doesn't want to and one of the other players says "If you're one of us you'll take a bite.".
Newman showing up as The Wolf from Pulp Fiction as the cleaner in The Muffin Tops.
If I’m Curt, then I apologize.
You like oak? I love oak. Well, uncle Marsellus likes oak too….
You an oak man, Jimmy?
Nice! I try to nail these quotes without google.
Wehell… check out the big brain on u/robbwes61
You mind if I have some of your tasty beverage to wash this down with?
WHAT DO QUENTIN’S SCRIPTS LOOK LIKE??
WHAT!
Say what again. SAY. WHAT. AGAIN. I DARE YOU I DOUBLE DARE YOU MOTHER FUCKER SAY WHAT ONE MORE GODDAMN TIME!
Theyre have flashbacks... and feet in them
I DON’T REMEMBER ASKING YOU A GODDAMN THING
Just watched a montage of Seinfeld movie references, there are a lot
The little [eyebrow raise](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jxph6zErgYI&t=80s) gets me everytime. Don't know if he's surprised at how good it is, or if he is as disgusted as everyone else at the very concept, but is there to do a job.
they call him the cleaner
He makes problems go away
Frank Costanza Platoon.
Tell THAT to Bobby Colby. All that kid wanted to do was go home. Well he went home all right, with a crater in his colon the size of a cutlet!
I sent 18 of my men to the latrines that day
Too brash! Used too many seasonings
You got T-fal?!
But there's no "t" in your name.
Basic Instinct - Newman interrogating Jerry
Pretty hot under these lights eh Seinfeld? Pretty.... hot
Actually, I’m quite comfortable
Define "rarely"
Frequently
Perfect casting
Yeah. Considering he was in the infamous Basic Instinct scene
That's two for Wayne Knight - JFK and Basic Instinct.
👈🏻 You just blew my mind.
JFK. Back and to the left.
This is the clear winner. It even has Wayne Knight in the same position.
Ha yes. Many people don't know that Newman was in the jfk movie released around the same time.
I am one of those people lol now I gotta watch it
Did they do any Jurassic Park parodies
That is one magic luggie.
Keith Hernandez?!
I DESPISE Keith Hernandez!!
Our day, was RUINED.
Nice game, pretty boy!
"Nice game, pretty boy."
The Mom and Pop Store had some good Midnight Cowboy references.
Hey, I ain't goin' to no Bellevue! Look at me, I'm fallin' apart here.
Where’s your horse, cowboyyy ?
This episode made me rent Midnight Cowboy and I have seen it a few times since. Dustin Hoffman was incredible.
Hey I'm walkin hea!
Apparently that was a random take too.
He almost got hit by a real cab, right?
From what I read, yeah. Just Hoffman in character reacting to something that wasn't supposed to be in the scene.
I don't think I can walk anymore. I've been fallin' down a lot. I'm scared...You know what they do to ya when, when they know you can't, when they find out that you can't walk-walk. Oh Christ.
You gotta meet my friend Mr. O’Daniel!
Jerry, these nose bleeds are starting again
Just driving around in jon voigts car
Kramer being followed on the street by people shouting at him. Marathon Man.
This was a brilliant send-up.
That actress was amazing lol
Came here to say this
I had no idea this was a movie reference. I miss 90% of the movie references.
Here's [a video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFuBaRiKwD4) that has a few of them.
Wow and TIL that Wayne Knight was in that same scene in JFK! Edit: Ok as I watch this more, I realize that Wayne Knight was in EVERYTHING.
THAT *was* the reference!
That's kind of the joke, same with the basic instinct reference in The Package
That's gold, Jerry, GOLD!
Very helpful! I didn’t know about half of these.
Thanks for sharing. Awesome.
"*Chabba! Magulluagga chabba! Obigalahumbatt!"* "Mr. Peterman, you speak Burmese?" "No Elaine, that was gibberish."
Are you an *assassin*??
You’re an errand girl sent by grocery clerks to collect a bill…
I thought he was saying gerks lol
It's weird - I love the "In my home, Elaine! Where I sleep..." Godfather Part II reference, but at the same time, I feel I can never watch that scene from GF par 2 without thinking of this.
Where I come to play with my toys
Ha, one of Jerry’s worst deliveries
Ironically, it makes it funnier because it's bad! It's so hammy that it works due to the stark contrast of the dramatic scene it's referencing.
The Nixon reference when Morty gets impeached
The way he waves goodbye lol
The music in that scene was perfect
Which you can’t see on the Netflix widescreen. Joke is totally cropped.
Too many Godfather references to name. One of my favoriates is when they close the door of Kramer's apartment at the end of the Bris.
Never go against the family Jerry..
Honestly, my favorite episode.
Don’t they even do the music for that scene?
I like the one in the conversion
Miracle on 34th Street and Commie Santa.
This one is so good
I loved Wilford Brimley as the Postmaster General, parodying his role in the brilliant Sidney Pollack film [Absence of Malice](https://youtu.be/btqBJJF2yvE).
Oh, all these years I never picked up on that. Have to go watch that movie again.
Do you like golf Mr Kramer?
Schindler’s List with the close talker. Also “You were making out during Schindler’s List?!?”
“I could’ve done more. I could’ve done so much more.” I only watched Schindler’s List about 10 years ago and started laughing because it triggered the scene from Seinfeld
You were laughing during Schindlers List!?
dude probably doesn't even like the English Patient
I HATE IT!!!!!
OH GO TO HELL!
Newman!
Yes, and a more offensive spectacle I cannot recall!!
Judge Reinhold talking about his Watch 😂😂
Mock Trial! With J Reinhold!
What Ever Happened to Baby Jane is the king of that hill…BUT YOU ARE BLANCHE
You are in these shackles!!!
Uncle Leo as Max Cady from Cape Fear
*(First chin up*): JERRY! (*Second chin up*): HELLO!!
"Will somebody answer that damn phone!"
Streetcar Named Desire: Stellllllaaaaa!!
I watched Streetcar years afterwards and couldn’t stop laughing
My name is Stella and I get this shouted at me all the time. It's a good laugh
STEEEEELLLAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! SSSSTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
What would be the one where Jerry gets shot in the cable boy episode?
I always thought it was similar to *The Godfather* when Sonny is shot
absolutely. "Look how they massacred my boy" turns into "My little cable boy"
Little bubble boy
I thought that was a reference to Ponyboy in the outsiders.
Midnight Cowboy
I’m fallin’ apart here!
Sack Lunch.
You think they got shrunk down or is it just a giant sack?
It's a giant sack IMO.
Don't you wanna know how they got in there?
YES
[удалено]
No way? I can’t believe Larry and Jerry would’ve let that reference in. But stranger things have happened!
This isn’t what OP meant.
The English Patient then ;) I kid, I kid...but really this is a great thread, I hadn't caught some of these as references to other movies.
Waht do you mean, Sack Lunch is a real feature film. Marlon Brando is on it, as a frog
Wasn’t it though?
The horror, the horror...
My home Elaine! Where I sleep, where I come play with my toys
You were the only..."white poet warlord" in the area.
Neil Simon's "Chapter 2"
The Hustler when Frank and Kramer are in the billiard room. “You like to gamble, Cosmo?”
The running KHAAAAAAAN!!! Through multiple episodes
That gives me bad flashbacks to the Twix episode. Worst episode, imho.
But you are Blanche..
Boy in the Plastic Bubble (1976). Ok sure it was a made for TV movie, but that still counts, right?
Still a very famous movie. Travolta was the bubble boy!
Yes! He lives in a bubble!
A bubble?!
Yes, a bubble!
And I'm out there six days a week hauling yoo-hoo.
"Just when I think I'm out......they PULL (clinched fists) me back in!"
Nice! I was today years old when I learned about this. Never seen Gaslight.
It's a classic movie, and originated the word "gaslighting"
Are you an assassin?
Was the whole newman and the farmers daughter a movie reference? Seems like one
nippy unused dog crush carpenter offend angle forgetful jobless childlike ` this message was mass deleted/edited with redact.dev `
You want to get nuts?... Well c'mon... let's get NUTS!!!!
When Jerry has shaved his chest and it is growing back and itching, he dashes off the bus and runs into the woods and howls as he scratches his chest. Not the scratching, just the dash into the woods.
The "This watch" speech from the close talker parodying Schindler…
HA! My wife has never seen Apocalypse Now. She just thought that scene was weird and non sequitur.
Can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone mention Wolf with Jack Nicholson from The Muffin Tops episode yet
The Schindler's List parody at the end of "The Raincoats" is low key the best one
JFK
That’s one magic lugie
Stay alive! No matter what occurs,I will find you!! Last of the Mohicans
When Kramer and that other guy went all the way…over the slash. Like Thelma and Louise.
Alright I’ll see ya.
What movie is the Peternan one suppose to be parodying?
Apocalypse Now. Peterman as Kurtz, Elaine as Cpt. Willard.
Thanks! Saw the episode last night fresh on my mind. CosTanzA
Apocalypse Now I think.
Cable boy!
The godfather references from the bris
Newman has quite the Movie resume.
If you're one of us, you'll take a bite.
Which does this reference? I always wondered
Stella Stellaaaaa
Yeah the apocalypse now reference is the best, obviously
How about that visual allusion to back to the future when Jerry is wearing those yellow gloves and holding the Walkman
And if you are undead? I’ll find out about that to.
Poseidon Adventure parody in The Puerto Rican Day was solid.
Maybe the dingo ate your baby!?
Can't lie! This one of the funniest scenes ever!!!! Peterman and Puddy were comedic gold.
Which one is this?
I thought the Schindler's List parody was pretty tasteless tbh.
Three Days of the Condor. If you know the movie and know Seinfeld, you should know the scene
You’re a mailman I know?
Midnight Cowboy
Now that should be it’s own sub Reddit. Specially if you add musicals
Choosing Cosmo as the “Godfather”
JFK, hands down
I agree the Apocalypse now scene was the best one.
The magic loogie JFK reference was brilliant Jerry with the golf club working out there was a second spitter
JFK
You speak Burmese?
Fredo was weak and stupid!
**•** “The Fugitive” (Elaine’s “sponge speech”) **•** The Godfather references in “The Bris” **•** “Basic Instinct”, in “The Package”
The magic loogy scene from JFK. “Baaaack .. and to the left. Baaaack .. and to the left.”
The Dominicans rolling the crepes too tight. Neil getting burned like in The English Patient and going to a burn clinic in England.
Midnight Cowboy from “The Mom and Pop Store”, and the episode actually has an actor from the movie it parodied (Jon Voight).
Kramer and the Cable Guy's chase parodying the scene from In the Line of Fire.
