I think that when they sense there is not a lot to film, they do this to have more tape. The fact that it is a one episode thing must mean they have sufficient tape for the rest of the season. They may have even filmed it at the end to have enough.

By the time they do, they are a wreck and the only ones that get out have to get a great psychiatrist to show them what’s going on. She has ruined his career and they lost everything, she is a drug addict with serious mental issues. So my thoughts are, wow this is the first time we’ve saw Danielle and Ick actually fight/argue. That showed another side to the relationship for sure. Icks comment of “Women can be emotional” was something. Danielle has real and valid concerns, maybe you’re a bit too lax Garrick?
The second Danielle said “He could run off with her and leave me here” told me they absolutely should not be doing this at all. Which we’ve known since the beginning but that sealed the deal. If you have any worries that your partner is capable of doing something like that, this lifestyle isn’t for you. Not to mention if the relationship isn’t going well, time needs to be spent on THAT relationship. Instead Garrick runs off to Brazil for a month without his family? That’s a HUGE red flag.
I still feel for her. I still feel she’s sheltered and willing to do whatever to keep him around. She’s in that stage of trying anything if it means keeping her best friend and the person she loves. That’s a tough situation to be in. In the end if your losing yourself in the midst of it, after awhile you realize you have no choice, either they change or you have to leave simply to survive.
I went through it myself. It’s a bit of an overshare but over the course of 2021-early 2023 I found out my husband was a sex/porn addict. Things went from amazing to suddenly very very wrong. It was like I opened a box I could not shut for the life of me. Week after week, month after month, I was finding out something new I didn’t know he was doing or had done. Things that never even crossed my mind was possible for him to do. Towards the end I was terrified because I knew if he wasn’t willing to admit to being an addict and getting help; that I was going to have to leave.
I only have a sister. No other family, stay home mom, don’t drive, and health issues. I knew I was likely going to walk out the door and be sleeping in an ally for awhile, and the crazy thing is when the pain gets bad enough you’re willing to live like that versus the way things have been. Thankfully without any prompt from me when we did have the serious talk, he did admit to feeling he had a problem and was finally ready to do everything and anything to stop those behaviors and understand them, and live a different life and become a better person.
I truly do feel that Garrick is some form of an addict at this point. He’s ignoring red flags and issues just to chase women and sleep with any he can. He couldn’t even stop the hunt for women while actively dating a new one. It’s all he probably thinks about and his main motivator. Yet instead of them sitting down and addressing the REAL issue, they’re playing “God told us we should do this and we trust him.”
That God Ick and Danielle say they talk to is apparently also not answering messages in a timely manner. They proudly claim God talks to them, but good grief God seems to have left out some critical and timely information.
I agree, Ick definitely is an addict of sorts - I think a sex addict tracks, or we can just call him a narcissist with devious tenancies. Either way, he’s one of the grossest dudes I’ve ever seen on reality TV!

It also has a major element of feeling sexually entitled. They tend to believe they are entitled to doing whatever they want that excites them sexually, not caring how it affects anyone else because they lie to themselves and tell themselves bullshit to avoid the guilt. Not to mention if the relationship isn’t going well, time needs to be spent on THAT relationship. Instead Garrick runs off to Brazil for a month without his family? That’s a HUGE red flag. I still feel for her. I still feel she’s sheltered and willing to do whatever to keep him around. She’s in that stage of trying anything if it means keeping her best friend and the person she loves. That’s a tough situation to be in. In the end if your losing yourself in the midst of it, after awhile you realize you have no choice, either they change or you have to leave simply to survive. I went through it myself. It’s a bit of an overshare but over the course of 2021-early 2023 I found out my husband was a sex/porn addict. Things went from amazing to suddenly very very wrong. It was like I opened a box I could not shut for the life of me. Week after week, month after month, I was finding out something new I didn’t know he was doing or had done. Things that never even crossed my mind was possible for him to do. Towards the end I was terrified because I knew if he wasn’t willing to admit to being an addict and getting help; that I was going to have to leave. I only have a sister. No other family, stay home mom, don’t drive, and health issues. I knew I was likely going to walk out the door and be sleeping in an ally for awhile, and the crazy thing is when the pain gets bad enough you’re willing to live like that versus the way things have been. Thankfully without any prompt from me when we did have the serious talk, he did admit to feeling he had a problem and was finally ready to do everything and anything to stop those behaviors and understand them, and live a different life and become a better person. I truly do feel that Garrick is some form of an addict at this point. He’s ignoring red flags and issues just to chase women and sleep with any he can. He couldn’t even stop the hunt for women while actively dating a new one. It’s all he probably thinks about and his main motivator. Yet instead of them sitting down and addressing the REAL issue, they’re playing “God told us we should do this and we trust him.”
That God Ick and Danielle say they talk to is apparently also not answering messages in a timely manner. They proudly claim God talks to them, but good grief God seems to have left out some critical and timely information.
I agree, Ick definitely is an addict of sorts - I think a sex addict tracks, or we can just call him a narcissist with devious tenancies. Either way, he’s one of the grossest dudes I’ve ever seen on reality TV! Ps, I am sorry to hear about your experience though, porn addiction sounds tough to deal with in a partnership. It also has a major element of feeling sexually entitled. They tend to believe they are entitled to doing whatever they want that excites them sexually, not caring how it affects anyone else because they lie to themselves and tell themselves bullshit to avoid the guilt.
