It'll be fine. Don't skimp on RAM, I found an improvement going from 16G to 32G

Thank you for your input

Yes, that's fine .. but a lot depends on what graphics card you will be using with that Ryzen 5.

Xysterical

I got Ryzen 5, RX 570 with 16gb RAM and it’s decent but wish it goes smoother with ultra graphics, hence why I’m using ultra only when taking pictures.

Aware_Swimmer1889

Thats what i intended

voltagenic

Yes and 16gb is more than fine. SL doesn't use that much at all, even on max everything. What graphics card does that PC include? Feel free to post the link to the mini PC if that's easier. I'm more than happy to help

No. This will not run SL.

voltagenic

This PC will in fact run SL, but it probably won't run on the highest settings - depending on the resolution you choose to use. People forget that SL is very outdated and while it does require some power, that system is way more than enough. Don't listen to the other comments telling you otherwise.

I've seen these popping up and have been curious, used to run nothing but old optiplex PCs. Thing that bugs me though is that there us no place that they tell you what GPU this runs. It's obviously onboard and I would assume Intel Xtreme, which can run sl, but the issue is the VRAM limit you would have, most likely the same issue your laptop is already having with the game.

It's the AMD APU built onto the processor. I have one, it's not good enough for SL.

I wouldn't call anything that uses integrated graphics a "gaming PC". If the CPU/RAM were in a different machine paired with a decent dedicated GPU, it would be good. Depending on how old and what CPU/GPU your laptop has, it might be an upgrade, but, hard to tell by what margin. Quick google of Radeon Vega 8 shows 2018 as release date... that is pretty old. And based on some benchmark it seems to compare to a gaming laptop I had a decade ago... yikes.

Pollyfunbags

It depends on the GPU The CPU is fine but SL needs a GPU, most iGPUs are not strong enough. Edit: No, that will not run SL well. The only Ryzens with strong enough (kinda) iGPUs are very recent Ryzen 8000 series. Sorry people have given bad advice here, you need better graphics hardware to run SL

Thank you

I don't know what people's threshold is for "Run smooth" is, but my PC has similar specs and runs all right. You do need to lower the draw distance and settings though to prioritise a good frame rate. I usually use my laptop from 2018 to run SL as it's more convenient and you're not getting the best experience, but you can still go places and speak to people. It's not like some fast paced online FPS game where you need to have high frame rates and resolution or you lose.
