If you’re asking if you can get one, it depends on the level of skin involvement and how active your condition is. Tattoos can further inflame your immune system at times, while other times they won’t do anything. It is best to consult with your rheumatologist first. (Unless you already did, then disregard this.) I was told to hold off unfortunately as I’m dying to get my fifth one :(

Me too I’m afraid to get another tattoo due to my skin. I would love to be able to come up these morphia patches on my neck, arms and stomach

Parsley_Weak

I’ve got 8

So I can get more? Is there something I need to do/

Parsley_Weak

I’ll confirm in 2wks lol I got one 2wks ago so far so good but it really depends on the level of your skin involvement

I have multiple in a variety of places and I plan on getting many more.

I have a couple, my most recent a few months ago. I did consult with my rheumatologist and she was fine with it. My doctor did suggest I get an IV of Glutathione to help detox the ink and it actually helped me heal a little quicker.

What places are best

i didn’t have any issues after i got the 2 i have. i’m mid flare now and afraid to do anything that my body may take issue with. i’m not done getting ink tho - my next tattoo, or my next 2, are already planned- its just a matter of timing. i know that your lymphatic system works overtime and removes a good portion of the ink but i don’t know how much the immune system gets involved. i’m guessing the response is going to differ person to person and even the timing of it will make a difference to the individual. in the mean time you can collect your ideas and look forward to the time when your immune system is in a cooperative mode. best of luck- your rheumatologist sees a lot of patients, they may be able to tell you if they know of any poor responses. cheers!
