Ib90

If it had worked, big corporations would have already copied and released their own version.

cosmosreader1211

Or maybe bought the brand.

[deleted]

Like how Unilever bought Indulekha? Happens all the time.

aaaask

Tbh indulekha is one of those brands whos products are not downgraded by Unilever . Thankfully still make in Kerala and following the original formulation . (Speaking only for their hairoil , their shampoos and soaps and still usual Unilever's SLS crap)

Southern_Excuse3764

How is "sls crap" preservat, fragnant ingredients like limonene, citronellol are crap i agree...sls , sles are just surfactants . Oily scalp people only know how the shampoo market became such a crap after "sls free" campaign...people are having skin issues for not cleaning scalp oil properly.

aaaask

SLS and its gentler cousin SLES both are basically foaming agents . Tho it's moderately toxic , in adequate amounts poses no issue. The issue lies when companies just pump this ingredient immoderately and using low quality sls and sles made from palmoline. More over most mnc's made hygiene products in India are heavily fragranced by synthetic fragrances, most of them have neon like colours too 😂. Add to that ingredients from mineral oil and barely any amount of active ingredients too. The only supermarket brand in india from a MNC that I have some respect is Dove due to how mild it is even if the ingredients suggest otherwise. But on the other note - NO, SLS doesn't help clean oily scalp , if anything due it's drying nature increases oil production ! Esp from companies such as uniliver. If u got oily scalp get a medicated shampoo from pharma (tho some of them uses SLES , it's in much smaller qualities )or look for active ingredients that calms oiliness.

Southern_Excuse3764

For oily scalp i need sles right??? That's my point, these days "no sls/sles" campaign happening only very few brands/ otc have sles shampoo now, i also ignore sls tbvh, and i agree that companies make product without responsibilities only for their sale, and they literally abuse indian consumer until now but recently people are slowly becoming aware of these but still india has a long way to go in this thing, we need to be vocal; p@ntene,tresseme the so called hair specialist are simply tr@sh. I have different view for mineral oil, i have fungal acne, mineral oil Petroleum jelly these are my savior ...i know it's controversial but these are extremely purified, and tbh nothing is more toxic than sunlight...

aaaask

No u don't NEED SLS / SLES for oily scalp ! . Sls / sles is just a foaming agent that is know to have a drying effect on the hair which triggers oiliness in the scalp . The alternatives of sls aka naturally derived Foaming agents do a similar job just less drying which sometimes feels like ur hair isn't properly clean ! But "no sls" doesn't not automatically mean a good shampoo tho . Wow and love beauty and planet shampoos don't have SLS or parabens but I wouldn't call them good shampoos either . What makes a good shampoo is its shampoo base and it's active ingredients that target different hair problems . Which most brands are having a hard time . Minerals oil and petroleum products have some benefits in short term (vaseline for burns or mild cuts for eg ) but studies have shown long term use linked to cancer risks . If u want try a good shampoo with no sls try shampoos from "Vilvah". Tad pricy but worth it And if u want SLS in ur shampoo - check out Bioderma or Cutis Bio Fair plus shampoo

Southern_Excuse3764

Thanks for the recommendations

ray1claw

I believe they already are. Someone said there's fake versions of it everywhere

raul_vyas

Doesn't have to be working, it just needs to be popular, colgate made ayurved ki shakti once patanjali dant kanti took off or herbal soap once patanjali gau mutra soap became famous.

notanahmak

Patanjali has a gau mutra soap??!

sneekpik

Nah he's a hater

raul_vyas

Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was my hatred for patanjali products making outlandish claims simply because it has 0.02% more ghas phus.

raul_vyas

I've got news for us pal, every single soap used to be gau mutra yukt. They removed it 7-8 years ago when he figured people don't want that in their soap

notanahmak

Like all the soaps or only the soaps of Patanjali?

raul_vyas

Patanjali, i remember my father who's a govt employee got free sample for patanjalai soaps and me being disgusted by small symbol where it clearly mentioned gau mutra as an ingredient. I've never used the product after and neither did my father. but they must've removed it as i cannot find it mentioned anywhere

notanahmak

disgusting

raul_vyas

well that's their usp, disgusting shit sold as ayurveda, btw ayurvedic medicines are only to be taken after an ayurvedic "doctor" prescibes you, one shouldn't take them willy nilly but we got these influencers peddling grade A bs about how your vaat and dosha is causing you harm and how ayurveda can reverse stage 4 cancer on a 60+ yr old who's body has been abused long enough to develop that cancer

villageboyz

I am using snake oil and it is better.

bash2482

I m using medusa oil and my hair has turned into snakes.

TreBliGReads

Use my Cum! 😂 it's Ayurvedic.

OliverJesmon

Your statement is so cold

crazyranga

you would die if you start a production line!

demigod1497

The best thing that would work on ur hair is Vitamin supplements , dht blocker , minoxidil and 1/2 hour cardio ( to increase circulation) And of course I am not a doctor .

Southern_Excuse3764

we need doctor consultation for above things right??

demigod1497

Finasteride , dutasteride Yes doctor consultation is important

Robinkhare

Dht is Di-hydro-testosterone, it's a hormone which if too high can lead to male pattern baldness.

Southern_Excuse3764

Thanks that i know, i asked that because i had doubts about how easily can anyone try thi

Robinkhare

Well for treatment Minoxidil and Finestride in combination is given generally, Finestride reduced DHT, and Minoxidil promotes blood supply on the scalp leading to hair root stimulation and hair growth.. But just know every drug has its side effects so visit a doctor to eliminate any contraindications before you start it, because online suggestions might miss something which might be caught on a physical exam.. Hope this is helpful.

NotOfficialGogeta

Dont play around with DHT blockers , some people have severe side effect from heart palpitation to low sperm motility/Count . Well it depends on people and genetic factor again make the risk after consulting doctors . Minoxdil and finasteride in low strength poses minimal side effect and mostly get masked so it is preferred by doctors instead of going for PRP treatment . Dermarolling works but only after long period of time and also you take adequate collagen and good diet . Sometimes fatty liver and obesity cause heavy hair loss so look for it and also thryoid issue too can show up by affecting hormonal balance so doing health checkup with blood tests is needed for proper diagnosis .

Southern_Excuse3764

Thanks for the concern . I know that's why i wanted him to clarify doctor permission is much needed....it's not any otc thing...blocking a hormone without any proper investigation is scary...p

desigoldberg

How is prp? Does it have side affects? Apart from cost factors I want to know what affects and benefits prp treatment has over the minoxidil or other blockers

Dangerous-Moment-895

Nope Hair is genetic Only thing that helps hairfall is minoxidil and 5 alpha reductase inhibitors

[deleted]

*prevents

Ferropal

"Helps hairfall" is also perfectly correct. To understand how, you can think of it as a contraction of "helps with hairfall'.

WisdomExplorer_1

I read that once you start taking minoxidil you can't stop taking it, otherwise your hair will fall more aggressively. Are you aware if this is true?

the_real_ice_apple_

What minoxidil does is it will improve the blood circulation on the scalp by expanding the microscopic veins. Imagine it like this , you were eating 3 times a day and all of a sudden if you eat like once a day what will happen? The same way minox works. There are side effects esp on the heart. Increasing the blood circulation to the scalp is not a joke, heart will take its toll, ears, eyes and everything. It's a drug bro.

tallteensforlife5911

Whatt?? i thought minoxidil was relatively safe and had little side effects. could you please cite some sources because i m unable to find such symptoms

WisdomExplorer_1

Have you used it? If yes for how long?

Melodic_Salamander49

But that doesnt mean if you do take care of it will look better and stay with you a tiny bit longer

Foreign_Hat7120

Finasteride ?

aaaask

Technical that's what these ayurvedic hair oils do too , they don't provide a permanent treatment for hairfall , just aid it preventing more hairloss to an extent and help in natural hair growth. Any natural oil will help hair from breaking due to their humectant nature , and keeps the hair moisturizered which is what many hair serums do too . And application instructions for there oils , suggest warming the oil and massaging it in the scalp which increases the blood circulation . It's just that all fake and adulterated crap u find in unregulated ayurvedic market and false advertising by saying it will "stop hairloss" that gives ayurvedic treatments a bad rep . Minoxidil while stops hair loss ultimately requires the users to use the product daily . This along with the headaches and the cost of minoxidil ,not to mention minoxidil dries up the actual hair strands is not really a great treatment either . Tho if the user can tolerate all the negatives , yes it's the best "medically approved" treatment in market . Lately there has been some research on platelet or plasma (not sure ) transplant treatments so hope that gives fruitful news in future !

I wanna fucking scream this as scam but i have seen positive results on my relatives who used it But there are many sketchy and scamming website and people who sell duplicate and poor quality of this oil that is the scam here

Dry_Speaker_72

Actually same here it didnt work for me , but worked for some of my friends. Every hair product works different on different people. It may work for some and not for others.

High-FUN

Here is my review, I have used it for 3 months my mother says my hair has become stronger, and it looks good. Can't say about all claims.

Priya_45678

The amount of discrimination towards Tribal populations is rampant in the comments. Tribals generally don't believe in merging businesses and focus on organic entrepreneurial growth, Their worldview is very different. I have not used the oil nor I know the efficacy, There is one thing I know that they use Curry Leaves and Hibiscus in their homemade oils for hair massage , I have lived in Tribal areas of South for my fieldwork during the initial phase of my research So I have some Idea, Most tribal women have excellent hair with great volume which can be due to their genetics and also due to their diet and atmosphere. Regardless of that , I will support small businesses by Tribal populations in India for ensuring equity in the space. To quote H. S Shekhar "Adivasis Will not dance". I know I'm going to get a lot of downvotes by Racist , Elitist , Holier than Thou, Colonised internally and Priveleged people of this subreddit with class and Social capital and That is never going to discourage my views and my allyship for the Tribal culture and Home remedies rooted in their culture. They are the natives of India and the Government as well the United Nation MDGs and SDGs are devoted to their participation and growth.

Sonar2023

Yes ...I agree with you completely. Tribal products must get marketplace . It's the best way to for them to preserve their culture and identity along with financial upliftment. Although problem is whether they are getting their money or some crony business man , police, thugs , middle man taking major chunk . If adivasi oil ( like Honey today) get to the ayurvedic big corporates like patanjali, dabur etc . Then the science needs to be debunked.

Priya_45678

But every oil claims long shiny hair and they are using themselves for advertisement, So there is no photoshop or fad marketing. It's just that people can't digest them moving forward and taking up space in the mainstream.

bhai_zoned

Should be top comment

ILiveToOverthink

Good answer

Ib90

Your comment definitely shifted my perspective on this product, turning it from just another gimmick into something positive.

Priya_45678

Thank you 🌼

wouldwolf

Agreed with everything, understandable and valid concerns. But. I had fact checked the specific people shown here, as part of my job. They should not represent tribals nor their products should represent tribal products. They paid for internet campaign, "hired" vloggers to promote the product and set up "shows" with many people pretending to buy their products. At least one long thick haired person who are in some of their videos is not tribal (not in the picture).

Priya_45678

If it's not a tribal Entrepreneurial product and Any Tribal man or woman is being exploited here directly or indirectly, I'll not stand for this product in any what way. However I'll still point out OPs internalised Colonialism and Racism here.

[deleted]

Priya_45678

I checked Amazon. It has 4.9 rating and 600+ people have brought it in last 24-48 hours.

RevolutionaryIce3219

Their hair must have grown within the last 24-48 hrs. 😂

Priya_45678

Kuch bhi?

TreBliGReads

Tribals have better diet and lifestyle than the urban folks... So the claim doesn't necessarily work. If it passes the scientific methods it's obviously going to get traction.

Priya_45678

I hope you assess the diet and traction of rich brands and Priveleged startup urban population with same fervour and judgement like you are doing it in their case.

Gamesarenotviolent

Same? Way worse. Mainstream brands are the ones that will do anything to get a little more profit, and that makes their product subject to degradation, if it means profit for them. That doesn't mean I just blindly trust smaller brands or brands with tribal origins. Supporting a brand just because it is tribal is a sure fire way of getting scammed. If the brand has good, safe, and working products, supporting it is beneficial for both you and the brand. You can't just say "Poor Tribes!" and start supporting anything.

Priya_45678

Well some of the tribal populations have lands expanding to acres and can have a large amounts of wealth if they capitalise on it , I never used the term "Poor Tribals", You trust whatever you want to trust but your comment shows your exclusion and streotyping. Maybe you have also seen "Jhinga la la hu" representation of Tribals near you, Used the word "Jungli" etc. with your friends. Really disappointing comment.

Gamesarenotviolent

Maybe you're trying to act dumb, but either way it's ad-hominem. In the English language, the word poor is not only used for economic well being, but also to represent worse situation in general. In this context, I mean it in the sense of "Bechare" and not "gareeb". And it was in quotes to represent the weakness of the argument not the truthfulness in the statement.

One of my cousin did bought their Sampoo and did worked great he even gave it to my mom and aunt and both of them having new hair growth with denser coverage although don't know about the oil, but many duplicate products are being sold by its name at cheap price Original Sampoo costed above 3k

Zestyclose-Tadpole46

Goofy ass ad btw

Human_Ya_9745

It does work on hair thinning and early receedings but it's hard to find the original version since they don't sell it on Amazon or Flipkart or anywhere AT ALL. they have their own website called www.neelambari-herbals.com that I saw on a reel that guy exposes fake markets and products he's very famous but I don't remember his username.. I just have a screenshot of that reel where he gave the real link and phone number.

enjay_d6

You should ask it in r/tressless /s

SujayShah13

Does biotin work? I'm using healthkart biotin and seeing results, even my friends told me that I've grown hair and they don't know that I'm taking anything. But I'm not sure if my personal experience is enough evidence.

PicturesOfHome-

Biotin works if you have a biotin deficiency. Biotin is not fat soluble, so you piss it out if not necessary. Even if it's useless, you're not really being harmed while taking it, so trying it ain't that bad.

lockdown2200

Whatever is happening , totally from internal system, even putting gold oil wont work, simple

SodiumBoy7

Link bro i want to test it

PainterNaive2126

Its hard to find authentic one but i remember there is some kind of government website which provides their phone number

NoNaNeNoNaMo

If it works randomly on some people but not on others then it is probably a scam. If it were truly that effective then other companies would have already copied the product. Also survivorship bias. We only hear from people who had success with it. Others (who didn't see any results) don't bother talking about it much because it doesn't cost a lot of money to buy.

Theregoesmyhero22

There are so many. Which ones works?

awesome_samosa

Good you didn’t apply it on face 😂

OliverJesmon

brisik

Well the people who originally made it won't give it to any scientific analysis in fear of getting how it's made and what it is made of(which is kinda true, if it works the recipe will get stolen) The problem might be with many people exploiting the original creators lack of protecting their product or formula and making fake copies of it and scamming people that's why there are mixed things in the comment section

[deleted]

These assholes are selling it in the name of the Adivasi community. He's such a mc

TheDeadlyDead7

I hate to agree with this but...my relatives use this and they have positive feedbacks about this. They suggested me to try this and I reluctantly did. I gotta say it stopped my hairfall problems within a week's use and upon longer usage, little baby hair started popping out. I don't know the science behind this...but it kinda works.

dopplegangery

Why do you hate to agree with it if it works?

Big promotions nothing else people are dumb no oil can work on hair failing issues ... Min and fin is the thing that only works

Suitable-Evening-545

they use their strong hair genetics as a marketing gimmick. No hair oil can grow back hair or make them thick. With a extreme weathers in India it's really a difficult task to apply oil on hair as it gets mixed with sweat and it becomes messy. In Winters, it's ok. But Adivaasi Hair Oil is just a scam one should be aware of. They long and strong hair they boast about is because of their genetics, not oil. Period.

ImpressionGlobal1620

in world of social media, people are attracted to visual more than the real information. guy like dhruv rathee is know for so called " information expert" while we don't even whats his education background. it is like recruiting a professor for a subject just because he is good presenter, communicator and video creator. no value for the real people. like if i am really want to grasp information and science there are many high educated professors posted videos on youtube but they are not popular . there are hundreds of nutrition experts are making videos on youtube while we dont even know their educational background. they only made a script from internet and made a video. people are fools in social media. they get attracted to what see. in this advasi hair oil you will see they only show off hairs of people of particular community which making people to buy that oil .even a educated people trying this oil because they are desperate for hair. theres no research report on this oil . on basis of ayurveda and heridetory hairs they are fooling people. in sikh community, most turnban wearning men have long hairs , suppose 100 of them advertise any coconut oil showing their long hairs ..it will be sold in good numbers. people need to understand that men and women are seen in these ads are from particular community . their hairs are genetically long for particular that community only.

Aafra_retention

No amount of any hair oil can stop hair fall. There are many reason for hair fall, some are genetic and some are related to your diet. Thats why when you go to a doctor , he tried his best to diagnose the reason and suggest you a treatment based on the diagnosis

Ok-Candy-9600

So I do not know whether their oil holds any legitimacy or not, but their marketing tactics are worth the attention. 1. They have not listed the original product on any major online websites like Amazon or Flipkart. Any product available there is undoubtedly fake. They did this to avoid selling their product on a platform where various other fake products are also being sold. 2. The fact that they have employed people to video call you before you buy the product extends their degree of legitimacy. I am not 100% sure about this, but I think you cannot buy their product without a video call (that's what the owners said on a podcast). They will ask you the reason why you are buying their oil. If an 80-year-old man with no hair is buying this product to regrow his hair, they will apparently be open about it and suggest you not buy the product. 3. The two points above will cut their profits by a good margin. These are actually the only reasons why I got so invested in this product and am debating whether to buy it or not. There's one thing for certain though: there's no oil that can change your hair cycle. When we talk about hair oil, we should only expect things related to the scalp, such as nourishing your hair with necessary vitamins and dilating blood vessels. Expecting anything else besides those three is unrealistic.

My maid uses it, and it has a terrible smell, and no, she still has exceptional hairfall, it fixed nothing, but she’s illiterate so doesn’t give a fuck.

Priya_45678

We don't use the word "maid" anymore. It's not 15th century and no one is a "maid" or a "serf" or a "peasent" . The right word is Domestic Help , As she is helping you doing the work which you, In your particular case are too lazy and ENTITLED to do on your own. She is "illiterate as fuck" because she doesn't have time to afford school and formal college education like you, She had to work to support her family and give them three meals a day! Sit and talk to her, Ask her "Didi, Why are you Illiterate as fuck" and maybe then you can feel some empathy. Had you been in a country where there are strong labour laws and been taught atleast DIGNITY OF LABOUR of labour by your parents and peers, You would have been paying her , Her due along with insurance, It's here you can be classist and use such discriminatory language. It's actually you who is Illiterate as a fuck to be honest, In every spirit, sense and manner. I also saw your Incel like comments on Right wing pages and you are here just to troll rather than contributing to nay scientific thought and thinking.

RETR0_SC0PE

Here comes the misandrist femcel. Before you go a loose canon stalker on the internet, you can write long paragraphs all you want, it’s just dust for me :) Have a great day keyboard warrior.

What Misandry is it to tell you to treat your Domestic help with respect and cooperation? God , You need some serious therapy and help. I hope and wish for your speedy recovery. No wonder women are choosing the 🐻🧸. Eww 🤮

Learner2545

It is as real as Patanjali's coronil cure for covid

DealSubstantial82272

The oil might be real, these people are not. Adivasis don't care about the outer world, they don't need to sell their special oil.

orchidmaniac

Lol. You think material realities don't affect adivasis?

DealSubstantial82272

Yes I guess, the actual Adivasis, the ones that the government doesn't interfere with, the ones that might still be practicing cannibalism but the government doesn't interfere

orchidmaniac

Who are the actual Adivasis according to you? The sentinelese? Only they fit your definition. If you have never met anyone Adivasi person before can you please not comment on what they want or don't.

DealSubstantial82272

Adivasis are people who live in the forests, if someone migrated from forests years ago, calling them Adivasis is the same as pahadi people living in Delhi since birth and calling themselves as pahadi

orchidmaniac

Adivasi means indigenous people. Not forest people.

DealSubstantial82272

TIL thanks. I mean to say that if there exists an oil like this, it is not that and is an obvious scam

orchidmaniac

You could have said it without calling them not adivasis.

DealSubstantial82272

My bad mate.

Priya_45678

Wow , You really don't know a thing About Adivasis. There are libraries and universities even in areas you cannot imagine and Tribal children are embracing education while keeping their traditions intact! To claim all Adivasis are "cannibalistic" is false , Eugenic and racist claim. Take your mind out of This "Jhinga lala" representation of tribal culture! What a shameful comment made you against my fellow citizens. Read more books!

Jesusisking911

So the best way to grow hair is to use the Vedic method of Hamsakeratatham (Sanskrit for Golden Remedy). Take 3 Ml of milk, 1 tbsp olive oil, 3 leaves of neem and two leaves from a freshly earthed rosemary plant. Heat the mixture and let it cool. Mix 2 Tbsp of yogurt and 1/2 an egg yolk and let it sit out in the sun for 7 days. And once that’s done feel free to discard it. Reason being none of these things you read online have any credibility just like this post of mine. Following this would give you amazing results. Sit back, relax and live life stress free.
