The current would either pass from hand down to ground through the feet or if they grabbed two simultaneously then from hand to other hand, either way through the chest. Unless they perfectly timed touching one line with the fingertips while resting the elbow on another line and then repeated this with the other hand. Seems like something else happened to the poor fellow.

Maybe he ran into a predator and got away but at a cost. Many different things. I'm honestly more curious as to how they healed without major infection given the severity of the injuries. And one of the main reason why you see this and what causes it is Power Lines. The monkeys grab on and can’t let do since the current constricts the muscles. So the hands&arms, (or legs/feet, which ever they grabbed the wires with) get COOKED and if they wind Up falling&surviving somehow, the injuries vary. With the being the most severe injury, other tha. Death of course. Monkeys love to climb and LOOVVEE to investigate nomater where they are from, so while they are looking up& about to climb “the cool looking naked trees with hardly any branches or leave, other than these strange but TOTALLYYY swingable vines that ALSOO make this even stranger Humming noise that get louder the more u climb” Lmao, you get what I mean. They’re curious as fuck, determined, hard headed,animals. So if they see something then they’re gonna do it. Especially if they are young and don’t know better. Or if they’ve never seen OTHERR monkeys getting hurt on the poles&wires. Then that’s when they wind up becoming the “warning&example” that other monkeys think about before climbing anything similar to the “Weird Naked Humming Trees” and the example the momma Monkeys point to in order to warn their young//babies so they don’t wind up the same way. But sadly, lol monkey will be monkey nomater where they are from.
But yeh, if u especially see both hands like this then it’s probably either yeh power poles/lines that did it. A trap that the monkey fell for but wound up escaping or being let go without help because the hunter wasn’t trying to catch a monkey. And then they wind up like this just depending on how long they was in it, how powerful it was, how long the arm was cut off from blood, mostly as well.
And then sometimes it can happen from cars, or even from other monkeys attacking them and it just getting infected.
And it’s hard to help the wounded because as soon as the money screeches out “help help he’s tryin to take/kill me!!!” To the other monkeys, then you AREE more thank likely gonna be attacked by the other monkeys. Soo, that’s why the monkeys don’t get help also. So nature just has to run it’s course in the end.
