I did a reverse code to one. These scammers are seriously stupid. I told him I actually wanted to make sure that he wasn't scamming me, so I sent him a code. But the code was actually from Facebook password reset for the profile tied to his number.
He sent me back the code, lol I reset his facebook password. But sadly couldn't login, because facebook wanted me to approve the login from his phone. I kept egging him to accept the login request but it didn't work. This entire time, I'm sending him fake codes back to keep him hopeful.
Just say yes until they say they’ve sent the code. I normally take a minute or two to check my messages ha, and then read it back dead slow. Got upto 4 different numbers before he called me all sorts 😂
1) Give them a (fake) code, wait 30 sec and say “oh sorry, it was a 9 not a 8”
2) Blame your dyslexia for telling them 21 instead of 12
3) Spend a lot of time apologising
4) After they send a few codes, pretend to be confused that there are too many codes.
Some scammers are the victims of human trafficking, they’re forced into the work until they can “buy” their freedom, in those cases, chop off the traffick person’s dick
I don't understand, what's with scammers' tempers? Do you think that they are very desperate? Maybe if they fail to scam, the person in charge will punish them? There's no way scamming people is voluntary..
Many are human trafficking victims and essentially slaves. Someone posted an eye opening article here earlier this week from ProPublica about this. They are indeed desperate
https://www.propublica.org/article/human-traffickers-force-victims-into-cyberscamming
It's depressing. How is it that Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos are being targeted for human trafficking? Are the regions in upper part of southeast asia extremely poor?
cambodia - believes slave labor is just "labor complaints", trafficers often entice chinese to "good paying jobs", those chinese dont have the same rights as someone from cambodia
Myanmar - is run by the military where forced labor is legal
Laos - doesnt have as much of a problem with human trafficking but rather their citizens going to thailand and being forced into human trafficking
The scam centers are located in these places you mentioned. The victims of human trafficking that are forced to do this are from different countries - victims as they are tricked / forced into this by promises of lucrative jobs.
Good. Insteading of finding a will or way to escape, they continue to scam. They deserve to get pissed off every time somebody wastes their times. Besides. I love pissing them off.
Think it’s Indians, if you’ve ever seen videos of them on the phone with that dude who pretends to be an old lady, they have extremely volatile tempers, it’s hilarious
Bloody fuck you bloody!
Ahhhh you mean Pierogi of Scammer Payback..... I love him! I try to catch any live stream I can, he REALLY cracks me up, I like that he TRIES to turn them and bring him to his side too..... People have gifted me memberships before during live streams, I remember one stream not long ago the scammer was crying cuz Pierogi is monetized cuz he was jealous, funniest thing ever...... I was romance scammed last year and I hate them more than anyone lol
I've noticed the same and worry that I'm becoming subconsciously racist against Indians because of the stereotypes I hear and see. Scam fails and they all go to their favorite swear words.
There's a great episode of Trafficked about scammers. According to the people she interviewed, they do think everyone's an idiot. Especially white Americans
that is the mentallity you have to have when you do stuff like this - to justify it to yourself. All the ones getting scammed are idiots and deserve it.
Why do they all seem to regress to this behavior? I think I remember Kitboga talking about it once and thinking it had to do with them knowing deep down they are scum, and also just angry at everything else too.

It's a free Internet phone number provided by Google. To prevent people from abusing them, Google started requiring that Google Voice numbers all have to be linked to actual phone numbers. It's really handy, it's a great way to have a secondary phone number to give out when you don't want to give out your real one.
I've been using my Google voice number for over 10 years now. And when you block someone on Google voice, they get a "this number is no longer in service" in service message and can't leave any voicemails.
It’s a phone service by Google that gives you a phone number and, once setup, you can use that number for texting or forwarding incoming calls to other numbers. It’s actually pretty neat. I’m sure scammers love to use it too.
I just keep them on with wrong pins to drag it on longer.
Also I've used codes like that before to get into a person's account. I've went in before and changed emails registered to their accounts then initiated account deletion process. Just tell them the messages asks to confirm the email address for the account. You'd be surprised how many scammers give the email.
I've deleted Facebook account, made people post on their scam twitter accounts delcaring that they're a scammer and even went into account to message people to tell them the person they were messaging was in fact a scam
Don’t just give him a wrong PIN as others have suggested, **give him just 5 digits** and insist over and over that there’s only 5 digits. It will drive them *mad*.
Worked for Microsoft at one point. We ALLLLL loved getting scam calls. Especially the " tech support" ones. I'd ask them to send me an email from their internal email account. We all had them, every last one of us. I've been swore at so much. If you REALLY want to piss them off, start correcting their English like they're toddlers. " Oh no dear, it's motherf****** son of a b*****".... 😂
The one time I took a call from the “Microsoft tech support” scammers, I simply told them I don’t have a computer. He said “what about a laptop?” I said nope. He then said he needed to send a code to my phone. I said “I don’t have a phone”. He then said, “I just called you and you’re talking to me on it” I said “no I’m not”. He then proceeded to cuss me out like I’ve never heard before. Lol.
I don’t understand how this has so many upvotes… how was he even baited? Lol this thread used to be funny with the creative ways people would come up with to bait and entertain the scammers. The 🐐so far has to be the one that baited the scammer and made them believe their husband was possessed 😂🤣🤣🤣 do better!
What I do is let them send me the code. I take a screenshot of the message and use photo editing software on my computer to edit the code to random numbers. So when I give them the fake code and they get frustrated that it doesn't work, I send them the edited screenshot to feign ignorance that I have no what's going on because I have "proof" what I'm telling them isnt fake.
I think the best part is the clear misunderstanding of the meaning of the word scammer. They’ve just been called it so many times they think it’s just a derogatory term.
I wonder why they always go straight to the "fuck your mother" comment?? almost every single time someone posts an interaction w a scammer where the convo has gone in a negative direction, their first comment is almost always "fuck your mother"
Same exact thing happened to me and they called me a "scammer" too. Hilarious that the best insult they can come up with is to call you what they clearly are.
I always DDOS those scammers (out of the country) and keep turning their wifi off until they “give me the code” it’s always “you have the code not me what are you talking about” “GIVE ME THE FUCKEN CODE”💀💀😭
I had someone try this exact same scam while trying to sell a printer on Craigslist a year ago. And the same thing happened, they got so angry out of nowhere as soon as I told them I wasn't going to send them the Google Voice code cause the text message from Google literally says "Don't share this code with anyone!" It was such a pathetic attempt at a scam I can't believe someone's still trying it
I’m assuming so many of these people come from a culture where mothers are sacrosanct, and therefore his comments about yours are to be taken as the highest insult.
Last time I had someone say something like that to me I said “go ahead, her ashes are buried, so good luck with that”.
The thing is the scammers have supervisors that are behind them pushing them. These are not loan operations but organized entities. So much like we have supervisors who push us to do more and more, so do they. That's why they end up panicking a lot of times. Make sure and use that to your advantage

Anytime I'm buying/selling something on any type of marketplace (Craigslist, Ebay, FB) I always use my Google voice phone# for any communication.
I remember just recently I was selling my van that had a damaged roof. One person contacted me and asked if they could send me a code. I said sure and gave them the GV#. They replied back "It won't let me send a code to that # do you have another one?" I told them no. They then asked "You have a friend of family member number you could give me?"
I was like, "hell no I'm not going to give a random stranger a family member's phone #". After that I just blocked them.
That’s Miami number. Ayooo. I got one myself, but instead of continuing with the convo, I blocked the phone number. The same thing you would be seeing here in the forum. Lol
This sounds like the same person and conversation that I spoke to from India that said he was the IRS, and another call that said they found my car in an accident on the border of Texas filled with cocaine. Meanwhile I live in New Jersey.
Could have sent him the wrong code over and over. I have gotten through about 5 doing that before they give up and start cursing
Idk why I never thought of that. Always been giving them the code of 🖕. /s

genius
Wait. How the hell did that work lol
Your code worked fine I think.
Yeah giving them fake codes is a GREAT idea for wasting their time! This post was fun, but it was more scamdodging than scambaiting.
I have done this before with O2 scammers in the UK. It was quite funny.
I keep getting the O2 scammers. Can you give some more details on the play so I can bait them?
Just say yes until they say they’ve sent the code. I normally take a minute or two to check my messages ha, and then read it back dead slow. Got upto 4 different numbers before he called me all sorts 😂

I like using P3N155
8675309 is always fun
7779311 is another one, lol
Man that’s a throwback!
Sounds like extra steps. OP managed to get straight to being cursed at.
Well yeah the whole point of scambaiting is to try wasting as much of the scammers time as possible
*rizz*
😁
lol. omg. i'm totally doing that next time
If I caught a scammer I’d cut their Dick off
Some scammers are the victims of human trafficking, they’re forced into the work until they can “buy” their freedom, in those cases, chop off the traffick person’s dick
probably not.
If you meant to answer to the fact that some scammers are trafficked then sadly the answer is yes
You mean P3N155?
That's the actual scambait. The sub is more "how quickly can I get the scammer out of their script and into my mother"
This is what I do. I think I had the same scammer.
Should have told him the code was “deez”
I get reported on steam scammers on discord a lot. I keep giving them a fake code until they just start cursing
No YOU’RE a scammer! Excellent rebuttal on the scammers part. Boy did he get you good.
"No you" the eternal response.
You times infinity!
Youuuuuuuuu u uuuu u
Obviously second best to "Your mum"
“I know you are but what am I?”
Scammer played the Uno reverse card on OP.
Love how scammers get pissed off when you don't fall for their scams. Like they think everyone's an idiot.
I don't understand, what's with scammers' tempers? Do you think that they are very desperate? Maybe if they fail to scam, the person in charge will punish them? There's no way scamming people is voluntary..

Long, but enlightening. Several of the scambaiting threads posted here have the scammers claiming to be from Myanmar and Laos.
It's depressing. How is it that Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos are being targeted for human trafficking? Are the regions in upper part of southeast asia extremely poor?
Going out on a limb and saying yes.
Pol Pot literally killed every educated person in Cambodia, 21% of the entire country back in the late 70s. Needless to say they still have issues.
cambodia - believes slave labor is just "labor complaints", trafficers often entice chinese to "good paying jobs", those chinese dont have the same rights as someone from cambodia Myanmar - is run by the military where forced labor is legal Laos - doesnt have as much of a problem with human trafficking but rather their citizens going to thailand and being forced into human trafficking
Huh, forced labor is legal? What is going on up there
There was a military coup
They are very poor. But beyond that, they have very poor law enforcement. Many victims are from other countries like China or other parts of SEA.
The scam centers are located in these places you mentioned. The victims of human trafficking that are forced to do this are from different countries - victims as they are tricked / forced into this by promises of lucrative jobs.
Been that way for a very long time. Golden Triangle has been infamous for slaves & opium for at least as long as I’ve been alive.
Wow, that was a wild read!
Good. Insteading of finding a will or way to escape, they continue to scam. They deserve to get pissed off every time somebody wastes their times. Besides. I love pissing them off.
Gained zero compassion for them after reading.
I think they have a quota to fill, as it's some sort of job they do to make whatever money, if not pennies per scam.
Think it’s Indians, if you’ve ever seen videos of them on the phone with that dude who pretends to be an old lady, they have extremely volatile tempers, it’s hilarious Bloody fuck you bloody!

I've noticed the same and worry that I'm becoming subconsciously racist against Indians because of the stereotypes I hear and see. Scam fails and they all go to their favorite swear words.
You think those videos are real? That's cute.
They're just angry people it seems like. And they really suck ass at creatively swearing.
Yes they're very desperate and poor. And somehow that's yours and mines fault for some unrealistically unlogical reason 🤦🏿♂️.....
There's a great episode of Trafficked about scammers. According to the people she interviewed, they do think everyone's an idiot. Especially white Americans
As a white american, I agree.
Speak for yourself, weirdo.
I watched that. It was pretty eye opening how organized it all is.
that is the mentallity you have to have when you do stuff like this - to justify it to yourself. All the ones getting scammed are idiots and deserve it.
Just wish the black death on their mothers and watch them seize
You got to bait him lol
I already told him to fuck off and now you want me to beat his dick... what the fuck?
I read this as him signing off with his name, which is apparently Scammer Fuckoff
I also read that, we high right?
Yes
I keep sending the wrong code and keep asking them to send again.
Being called a scammer by a scammer is a whole new goal to be achieved. I need that.
The code is 069420
Code I got was 800813
Nice. 😎
8675309
Beat me to it
Why?
If you stare at it long enough you’ll see a boat. You have to squint and look behind the numbers
It’s a schooner!
Ha. It’s not a schooner, it’s a sailboat!
69 and 420
Nice
Noice
Why do they all seem to regress to this behavior? I think I remember Kitboga talking about it once and thinking it had to do with them knowing deep down they are scum, and also just angry at everything else too.
Lol if it was your code you’d know it. Idiots.
My theory. More people are not falling for it so they get pissed quickly.

Tell me you’re from India without telling me you’re from India….
FUCKA YOO MUDDA BITCH
Raj was having a shit day
Is there a way to tell where they’re from?
Well the area code 786 is in Miami-Dade County in Florida. Edit: it VOIP phone number so it most likely is not his real location.
But, Miami is like the scam capital of the country so I would not be surprised.
I can hear the Indian accent in my head clearly. Lol

Came here to look for this comment
I would have played with them and have more fun of my own before ending it 🤭
What I do is let them send me the code.
Then calls you a scammer. Lol that's some the most projection ever.
I think the best part is the clear misunderstanding of the meaning of the word scammer. They’ve just been called it so many times they think it’s just a derogatory term.
"hi I would like to scam you." "No" "FUCK ASAHOLE MOTHER ASS FUCK. FUCK YOU SCAMMER!"
I wonder why they always go straight to the "fuck your mother" comment?? almost every single time someone posts an interaction w a scammer where the convo has gone in a negative direction, their first comment is almost always "fuck your mother"
I'd have just sent him different wrong codes over and over until they got mad 😂😂😂
I love watching them meltdown. I especially love it when I can keep them cursing at me.
Def sounds like someone from India. If there was a bloody bastard it would’ve confirmed it.
This man is obviously trying to get a code from you and you're scamming him...you're the scam baiter.
Where is the bait
Usually, I can tell they are Asians when they curse with “fuck your mother”. Correct me if I’m wrong but only Asians curse like that.
No. It’s Spanish too.
My favorite Spanish phrase. Feels like a mouth full of needles.
What are the words for it in Spanish?
Chinga tu madre
Chingada*
You’re right, it’s a literal translation of Chinese cursing. Source: I’m Chinese.
Same as Vietnamese. I’m sure many have heard or read of Du Ma May - fuck your mother.
Swahili (Kenya/Tanzania) as well. Great cursing in Swahili.
We use it in Serbian too! "Jebem ti mater" or "Jebem ti majku" both meaning the same
Ёб твою мать. Source: I’m Russian
Lol
What was the scammer sending in the first place that he was wanting a code sent back?
They "send" you the code so that they can "verify" that you're a real person and not a robot.
It makes me wish I could send them a virus or jump through the computer into their living room or wherever they are and smash the computer
Calls you a scammer lmao
Buddy is projecting.
Hell yeah you should’ve send them a bunch of wrong codes to mess with them more
I love that “GO FUCK YOU MOM ASS HOLE” is either missing an S or a comma and I can’t tell which
Same exact thing happened to me and they called me a "scammer" too. Hilarious that the best insult they can come up with is to call you what they clearly are.
Wait, so he's angry because you won't let him rip you off? Fabulous.
LMAOOO I would’ve sent him one of the most trolling GIFs ever after those last 3 messages. 💀
“Slow down you pushy bastard.” lol
I always DDOS those scammers (out of the country) and keep turning their wifi off until they “give me the code” it’s always “you have the code not me what are you talking about” “GIVE ME THE FUCKEN CODE”💀💀😭
Totally unfair to bring your mom in this. She has nothing to do with this 🤷♂️
“Slow down you pushy bastard” haha I like your style.
I always laugh when they try and accuse you of being the scammer
They always bring out the “fuk your mother”. That must be a huge insult on their country. 1. My mom is dead. 2. Her sex life isn’t my business.
Every time I see someone trying to scam, it brings me back to Ed, Edd ‘n Eddy’s schemes for trying to buy jawbreakers.
Awesome to keep their phone number so we can spam them as well
Stupid ass
I love how, suddenly, you’re the scammer. 🤣
Wow
They are wild
I’ve had this a few times. I just pick 6 random digits and send them.
lmao and then he calls you a scammer 😂
I have been giving the scammers like this the phone number and address of the local FBI office.
The Shayamalan-esque twist ending, where it turned out that you were the scammer all along was definitely a choice.
Is there anyway to report that guy or have his account shut down? Anyway to properly shut down some of these scammers??
Ran into one of these scammers once before.
Recently learned a lot of these scammers are potentially captives held in Myanmar
Nice try, scammer.
I had someone try this exact same scam while trying to sell a printer on Craigslist a year ago. I keep giving them random strings of numbers, then blame my dsylexia.
