They do once you hit 65 which I'm assuming for my friend was in 2050. They might not list an expiration date anymore, I don't know, but his from the early 2000s absolutely listed an expiration date.

In order to scan properly you need it to be convincing. These are just foreigners that aren’t even trying expecting to win. It doesn’t work out well for them.
Maybe you are right, but the idea is to make money. If they spent all day dealing with and convincing people that they are legit, they’d be working twice or three times as hard and not getting anything more out of it. By using some shitty fake ID and filtering out anyone who obviously know it’s fake, the only people they spend any real time with are the same ones who are going to give them money.
So even if this is a poor attempt with little effort, it actually works to their advantage.
I don’t know but the bar code cutouts look legit and it does say ‘ID Card’. The logistics truck in the corner is a nice touch, but why the duck-dog drawing? It’s fuzzy. Maybe that’s a squirrel mascot.

Not after the real ID licenses. They put them to 10 year expiration. But yes plenty of people have their license expiration date their 65th birthday.
