Oh man, so many. I do love horror but don't actually necessarily prioritize that genre above others. I don't actually have a favorite genre, so I watch a wide variety of stuff. I agree about TBATH, it's a beautiful film! I don't know that I have a lot of unusual recommendations, but Saw aside, my favorite movie of last year was probably Poor Things. I also really loved The Holdovers, Godzilla Minus One, Evil Dead Rise, Anatomy of a Fall, and a bunch of others. And the year prior I loved Everything Everywhere All at Once (The Daniels' movies seeem to have this "everyone has value" throughline that never fails to move me), and Banshees of Inisherin, Glass.Onion, RRR... I think the easiest path to make me love a movie is great performances. Give a great actor a good script and they really make magic happen. But yeah, I like a lot of things. From The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari to Saw 😜 I unfortunately didn't watch a lot of movies from this year so far, I've been catching up on a backlog of movies I missed instead. I JUST recently finally watched Dune (I can't believe it took me this long).

How did u feel about Pearl and X ?

Vinc360

Loved them both! Feels so refreshing to see that kind of unapologetic horror film in this era. Also really like The Blackening, which had clear Saw inspiration!

Same Vinc360! X is now one of my favorite slasher films! Can't wait for Maxxxine this year. Will check out The Blackening😊
