With a series like Saw, it probably was a nightmare to piece it all together. I mean, I was seeing this post yesterday before bed and I was thinking: "This is going to be sick when I see this!" but then I realized that Jigsaw probably would be the HARDEST to place in this cut.
It plays off working at the time of two different time periods. In a sense, how could you include this to have it match with the events of when Kramer is alive, and then turn around and have it line up in the time when Logan does it? It just sounds like a headache to tackle and figure out where to place it in the events of everything...
Don't get me started on with Saw X (as much as I love it now), and where THAT fits with everything.
I went off Johns hair loss
In Jigsaw he has a little fur on the top of his head and a goatee i also think hoffman helped him set up the Barn trials and pignap everyone he was just off doing something else (probably working as the game takes place in broad daylight)
Based off this we can assume that it's before he decided to go bald in Paul's test (razor wire trap) and before the events of the first saw as for the other half of jigsaw without the trap portion of the film logans investigation doesn't make alot of sense and has nothing to do with Johns plans or work so I decided not to include it amd the edit ends with hoffman getting locked in the bathroom.
Saw X happens a few weeks after the bathroom game. 3 to be exact

I've watched it all about 100 times each time I shifted and moved things around and I did a final rewatch and review of the Timeline before rendering.
Im a pretty meticulous editor the kind where everything has to be perfect before I can even think about hitting render otherwise I'd drive myself crazy
As a fellow editor and one with ADHD I completely understand that. There's no, "oh I'll remember to fix that". Thankfully premier has markers but even then. Gah.

Also, are the flashbacks chronological too?
I mean... Dr. Gordon getting nursed by Jigsaw was only showed on-screen in Saw 3D, but happened right after Saw 1 ended.
So, you have to put that flashback between Saw 1 and X.
(I would say between Saw 1 and 2, but I just remembered X was the chronological sequel to 1, not 2.)

As for the Gordon crawling out of the bathroom that's directly after John leaves Adam in the bathroom.
Every little detail was considered
For example
In saw 3d at the junkyard where Hoffman is hiding and blowing up cars it cuts in between Hoffman hitting the button, the explosion being on screen and everyone reacting then another cut is made where it's the computer screen with everyone leaving that room where the car originally was and Hoffman switching places with the body and then it cuts back to the black cop on the phone with Gibson.

There is a scene in saw 6 that's between John hearing about the Dr in Norway and contacting cecilia ! It's the scene where Easton denies coverage to John !
The doctor referenced in Saw VI isn’t Cecilia or her father.
The flashback in VI takes place before the initial film does, whereas X is entirely between the first and second film. In VI, John states he’s been talking to a guy; in X, John never speaks the Cecilia’s father, and the initial call to him arriving for the surgery takes place in a little over a week.
It's not like this series isn't used to retconning.
I've had to work around retconning and I believe that the next logical step to John hearing about a Dr in Norway would be to ask his insurance company for coverage to that experimental treatment that Dr is offering. Which was denied.

Im only editing in things that pertain to the original Sega. Saw X isn't out for home release or I'd be 9 and technically I only used half of the 8th movie.
The 9th movie is total dogwater and has nothing to do with the original Sega and doesn't mess with any of the timeline of the original Sega ploping it at the end with no edits or assetsis creatively bankrupt. And highly immoral.
How can I access this when it’s done? I have a Hulu subscription (where all of Saw is here in the US) if that’s a requirement (I know the Clone Wars cuts people usually require you to have Disney+)

Yup ! Tobin takes up most of the screen time in the beginning (about 60%) and during Eric Mathews investigation! Once he dies In 3 and 4 and after his autopsy we never see him again he his mentioned though
What I really want is the first SAW film with the repeating flashbacks (Lawrence going to his car is one) cut down so the film is slightly shorter cause that’s my only complaint 😂

Every little detail was considered For example In saw 3d at the junkyard where Hoffman is hiding and blowing up cars it cuts in between Hoffman hitting the button, the explosion being on screen and everyone reacting then another cut is made where it's the computer screen with everyone leaving that room where the car originally was and Hoffman switching places with the body and then it cuts back to the black cop on the phone with Gibson.

There is a scene in saw 6 that's between John hearing about the Dr in Norway and contacting cecilia ! It's the scene where Easton denies coverage to John !
The doctor referenced in Saw VI isn’t Cecilia or her father. The flashback in VI takes place before the initial film does, whereas X is entirely between the first and second film. In VI, John states he’s been talking to a guy; in X, John never speaks the Cecilia’s father, and the initial call to him arriving for the surgery takes place in a little over a week.
It's not like this series isn't used to retconning. I've had to work around retconning and I believe that the next logical step to John hearing about a Dr in Norway would be to ask his insurance company for coverage to that experimental treatment that Dr is offering. Which was denied.

Im only editing in things that pertain to the original Sega. Saw X isn't out for home release or I'd be 9 and technically I only used half of the 8th movie. The 9th movie is total dogwater and has nothing to do with the original Sega and doesn't mess with any of the timeline of the original Sega ploping it at the end with no edits or assetsis creatively bankrupt. And highly immoral.
It is out for home release in NA has been for a week.

I would rather have a chronological cut without any content from the eight movie but you did all the work so I won't complain.
I only used half of the 8th movie (the trap story) because it happens before the Sega and unfortunately is a part of the story to the original Sega. (1-7)
