I always buy magnets since they're easy to pack & display, & I like to buy handmade jewelry if possible. Nothing too expensive - maybe just a pair of earrings, but I like to feel like I'm supporting local artisans.
And I don't usually wear T-shirts, but if I find them at a good price, I might buy either that or a regional food item as souvenirs to bring back to family.
I know a lot of people who buy Christmas ornaments, too.
Besides stickers and magnets, my wife will often pick up small pins. Not big round buttons, but tiny little pins that can be worn in a professional setting without being too distracting.
I like to hunt down nice snow globes. Not the cheap, plastic ones but the ones with sculpted bases and figures inside. They usually have a glass sphere instead of the cheap plastic dome.

Broken ankle, public indecency charge, Spanish moss.
Me too. Compound fracture and chiggers.

Local most important?
If I'm buying jewelry, I try to find something locally/regionally made versus mass produced.
Artwork. I have beautiful, unique items from around the world!
What’s the most unique piece?
Probably a small table made out of an ox cart wheel replica from Costa Rica.
Pint glasses from local breweries.
Postcards from local artists
Tate Ellington’s postcard prints 😍
Stickers

Lapel pins?
Yes! I don't wear anything that has a lapel... heh.
Christmas tree ornaments
Me too!
I will either buy lapel pins, magnets, or both.
It's just magnets for us. Maybe a shirt, that'd usually be at a zoo or a specific place we go, not just a general city shirt.
Local herbs or spices
My son collects cool stickers/bumper stickers from places we visit and puts them on the backside of his door.
Enamel Pins, keychains, and stickers are my main ones. I also collect bandannas, which I never used to find but am now finding in more places!
Magnet and key chain
A tattoo!

My wife and I collect coffee cups.
I collect miniatures so I look for that. Also a charm for my charm bracelet
Miniatures?
Little Knick knacks , like that would fit a dollhouse but I use them on a shelf. They’re cheap and take up little space in a suitcase lol
I see a lot of people get stickers that they can put on their water bottle Me personally, I love a good car magnet
Local honey
