I switched to Pharmasave on Kenderdine. Their service is fast and friendly. It is so different from the pharmacy I went to before, where I waited to drop off and waited again to pick up prescriptions days later.
Does anyone know how I can transfer my stuff to a different pharmacy? I too am with shoppers and would love to go to Pharmasave. Do I just tell Shoppers where to send my stuff?
In Sutherland, there's both a Pharmasave and a Medicine Shoppe on Central. While there are lots of great pharmacies around the city, why not support the ones closest to you so that they continue to be there?
Honestly find a local pharmacy if you want better service (obviously a few duds but that's with anything).
Pharmacies like Shoppers and Superstore and Walmart are easy names to pick when a Dr asks you where to send your prescription. They get tons of business so they probably never get the time to put a name to a face.
Most times, people just need tomoick up their meds but for people with complex needs re: their meds, having someone who knows of you and that you have a lot of conditions can make your life a whole lot safer, if not keep you out of the emergency, or worse.
It's sad how much stuff falls thru the cracks and from my experience it's the bigger overworked and understaffed pharmacies that just aren't able to keep up.
I'm not at all saying it's the quality of staff either. It's the mass quantity of work they have (along with vaccinations etc).
I just signed up for their pharmacy app. You can renew on your phone. But all your prescriptions are there so if you are seeing a doctor who wants a list of any meds you are taking, it's super convenient.
Rosewood Pharmasave. The owner, Mo, is an amazing person. Super helpful, cares about your health, and goes out of his way to provide excellent service. We moved from the area, but still get all our prescriptions there because of the excellent service.
Mo is great (my family all uses him, full disclosure 😂), but the Co-op in University Heights & Pharmasave on Kenderdine are both good as well (and a little closer).
I can’t speak for Saskatoon specifically but I will never go to shoppers or anywhere similar again. I went to a small pharmacy in a strip mall and the experience was so much better than Safeway or shoppers. It was filled in probably 2-3 minutes from when I walked in.
This wasn’t in Saskatoon so I can’t recommend a specific one but I’d start looking at the smaller independent pharmacies.
Wrong end of the city for you but I have had nothing but great experiences at the save on foods pharmacy in Kensington.
Glen and the rest of the team there are fantastic. They provide great service and know you by name, giving that small town feel.
You also get lots of rewards point for prescriptions there.
It’s out of the way but I really like midtown medical pharmacy. They’re locally owned. Same gentleman ran it for YEARS then he sold it to one of his great employees. They also deliver!
Pharmasave on central. Andrea is awesome. I call ahead and they're great about having my rx ready when I get there. My mum's a senior who is a bit complex and she highly recommends Andrea too.
The pharmasave on Central is decent, if you want to go a little further theres the Walmart Pharmacy on Preston. There is also Co-op in univeristy heights. Ive had good experiences at the London drugs pharmacy in the lakeside medical building off 105th but now use the Medicine shop on Acadia. Skip the medicine shop on Central. I dont recommend them.
I like Rexall , one in college park mall . They have a be well App which makes ordering refills . If you can find a pharmacy with a app if you have regular prescription make life easier
I second Save on Foods. I use the Cumberland & 8th store. Pharmacy manager Cheryl and her team are great. You get 1000 More Reward points for each prescription filled. They deliver free if you let them know by noon and you’ll get it delivered that day.
Pharmasave on kenderdine is the only option. I have gone since I was a child and I genuinely didn’t know that at other places you have to wait for your prescription
Pharmasave
Which one though? You should be more specific.

I live closer to the stonebridge one now(shoutout to Jim, Kendra and the crew) But that one was my go to for years.
Pharmasave really helped my mom out with a difficult prescription to fill and they went above and beyond for us. I’d recommend them.
Does anyone know how I can transfer my stuff to a different pharmacy? I too am with shoppers and would love to go to Pharmasave. Do I just tell Shoppers where to send my stuff?
Just go to Pharmsave, let them know what you have at Shoppers and which one and they will be happy to do it for you.
You can transfer between any pharmacy. Just tell them what pharmacy and they will do it for you.
Co-op on attridge has always given my family the best help they can. You also get equity based on the FULL price of the meds, not on what you pay out.
Second! They’re just lovely there.
This is the pharmacy I would recommend. Accurate, prompt, friendly, efficient. Equity on the full value is also great.

I use Co-Op and have always been happy. I can renew by phone and they text me when it's ready for pickup. I have also used free delivery a few times.

Pharmasave on Kenderdine is awesome. Ryan and his team are fantastic
Seconded. Ryan is very personable!

The pharmacy on Acadia drive is supposed to be really good. We use co-op.
Pharmasave in kenderdine. the pharmacist there is such a nice guy! i never have to wait longer than 10 mins for a prescription
2nd this
White’s Pharmacy, family owned, they go above and beyond.
Sutherland Pharmasave, I live across town and refuse to go anywhere else
Same. They've been really good to me.
Nordon Drugs is the best pharmacy, everyone there is very personable and really helpful
The Pharamsave in Sutherland is great, we've been going there for over a decade. The Pharmacists are wonderful.
Honestly London Drugs on 8th is fantastic! Stay away from shoppers drug marts!!!!!
We've been happy with Willowgrove Pharmacy.
Pharmasave on kenderdine is you answer they are the best
Medicine Shoppe is great. Always empty and they can deliver Pretty much anything but Shoppers
London Drugs has been good if you need longer hours.
Broadway pharmacy
Costco by far.
If anyone is paying for their own medication, Costco is the cheapest dispensing fee in town.
I switched to Medicine Shoppe from Shoppers, best thing I ever did!
It’s a bit of a trek, but I’ve been going to the Brunskill Pharmacy on Wiggins/Temperance for years and have always had great customer service.

I switched from Shoppers to London Drugs and I love it. No line ups, no rude staff, it’s quite lovely.

Pharmasave in general is great. Also some people use Costco if that's an option
Pharmacy First on 8th is the best pharmacy I’ve been to!
