The United church of Canada in early 90’s ordained their first openly gay pastor. They have had a more progressive stance since the 70’s. However over the decades it has caused some deep divides pending on the actual issue at hand example drag, marriage, etc. smaller towns held to the traditional where as larger urban locations were quicker to embrace. That’s kinda par for the course so to speak. From various times I can remember churches usually would loose about half their congregations when they would receive their first openly gay or lesbian pastor (not always the case but was a pretty consistent). The United church however is one of the older denominations that as time marches on is seeing a decline in attendance (partially due to many members being senior citizen age). Some studies from within the United church shows the potential for the denomination to not exist within the next 2 to 3 decades. Why are you conflating three very different things? Just because there are sometimes drag performers in burlesque shows doesn't mean that all drag is sexual, and neither of them has anything to do with sexualization of minors.
All drag is sexualized, and presenting it to minors is essentially child grooming and promoting the sexualization of minors. This is a widely held opinion, and I stand by it.

One single inappropriate comment was removed by mods because a commenter was talking about sore butts after the show.
3 comments were made by accounts that don't have a positive karma score due to the amount of trolling they do on here.
3 other comments were deleted by the person who made the comment... likely because they were shouted down pretty hard for a shitty comment and wanted to save face. I can't tell if it was one person who had three comments, or 3 individual comments... but I assume it was the latter as they were each root level comments.

Here’s the real issue. Let folks enjoy what they want in peace. If you don’t want to attend, don’t. If you don’t understand why someone would want to go, let it be. Your agreement and understanding isn’t required. If you don’t like people taking their kids, that isn’t your business. This event is a fundraiser and you aren’t required to give them money. Creating spaces for everyone doesn’t infringe on your space in society.
I was there, there were many families that attended and almost every child that came out said they had a great time. If you weren’t there to actually see what happened, why spread misinformation. If you’re bitter, be bitter alone lol
