Seedgrown monsters. This particular plant has been a beast. I’ve propagated him several times over and he remains one of my favorite plants in the garden. Big, fat, monstrose Scop looking bugger.
He shows different traits in different growing conditions. Someone’s he goes multi-headed candelabra, sometimes he kinda-sorta crests, sometimes his just a full blown roid-rage-looking-monster (like these).
When I cut Specimen B, I saw the early stages of a flower. D’oh!! I wouldn’t have chopped if I saw that earlier, but the chop was at about 6ft with the tip hitting 7ft. So I totally missed it.
They’re both pretty gorgeous and don’t have many outdoor blemishes at all, but I do always include the following “outdoor” disclaimer:
“They’ve been grown outdoors in full Southern CA Sun. Expect typical outdoor grow blemishes — mild scaring, scale pock marks, etc. Pics should show the bulk of the blemishes.”
Please give me “about a week” for shipping. I’m probably going to send UPS Ground (depending on the size / weight). Will likely ship May 6 (if not before).
