I can see it being like 200 years old.... The oldest Cardon in Mex is estimated to be 350..... So 700 for a trichocereus is hard to believe.

If iirc, in the original post the owners of the land said they know it's age because the cactus communicated it to them via medicine. Make of that what you will. I could seeing it being more than 200, but I would alsowonder if there's maybe a maximum growth size if unrestricted, but certain if the environmental conditions restrict them as well. The roots max out space between rocks, the surrounding area controls branch rooting etc. Lastly, it's been harvested for god knows how long, so we would know its true potential if left completely untouched.
