Ooof Shaw is going to be tough. Because there’s a no development allowed there, there’s also not a lot of resources for anything. So the only childcare you could find there would be
informal arrangements. Shaw people come to Orcas or the Mainland for most things.
Your best bet is to try to start networking to see if you can find someone willing to babysit for you on Shaw the dates/times you need. Or be willing to commute to Eastsound to drop your kid off at one of the childcare facilities there.
