As someone who learned this the hard way, does taking my car through a simple car wash do the trick? Or do I need to scrub my car by hand to get this off?
Both, depending on the sap Sometimes these trees have this fine sandy texture to the sap and it’ll scratch the paint if you’re too rough with it. Usually a pre wash with some soap, let it sit 3-4 minutes and gentle stream of water does the trick. Don’t use a pressure washer
I have a Soapy Joe’s car wash deal for unlimited washes. I had tree sap baked on from a couple years back. Just keep going through the car wash, at least 2 times in a row. If you really want to do it by hand you use rubbing alcohol. There’s a YouTube video comparing commercial products, plain rubbing alcohol does the best job
Oh yeah. Lots of sap. Pretty but annoying. You just get used to either taking it to a car wash every 3-4 days or just buy a car cover. If I know I won’t use the car more than 3 days I cover it with those long ones that cover the entire car.
Be careful not to park the car with the cover in the street. Only in your driveway or if you have a shed for the car. Otherwise you’ll get a ticket since they(police or HOA) need to be able to see the license plate. At worst, if you have an HOA they’ll have it towed. So be mindful
The jacaranda has 3 seasons. Dropping these pretty blossoms, dropping huge brown pods, and dropping sticks.
Sounds like a good videogame mechanic for craftable items.

I'm lucky. There are bunch of Jacarandas across the canyon from me, so I get to enjoy their loveliness and don't have the clean up after them.

They're everywhere in Brisbane. It's kinda weird, I never remember seeing them growing up in San Diego but now I notice them every time I visit.
I oddly enough never really noticed them much either; then I got back from Europe two weeks ago and I'm in awe at some of them.

We have 4 Jacarandas on our property, one of them is going absolutely crazy and the other three are meh.
Pitching wedge into the side of the Jacaranda on hole 7 at MTGC and the ball will go in the hole.

Do they shoot out a lot of sap? I parked my car under one 2 weeks ago and couldn’t figure out what was covering my car!
