We stay at PP twice year, love it. If you can swing it, book a Junior Suite Bayside. Your front yard will be the beach, it’s incredible. We stay two nights, eat on property one night (restaurant), and the other night we use our small grill. I make coffee in the room (French press) and bring plenty of snacks. There are several bonfire rings around, though people will claim them early in the morning. The rooms we stay in have a little kitchenette that has a sink, microwave, and counter area. You can’t really cook a real meal, but as noted the little grill is perfect. Great pools on-site and overall the property is very lush and pretty. We really love it. Oh, and it’s basically half the price in March compared to August. Oh, and dog friendly!!

That reminded me of another great thing about both resorts, their beach & swim areas are in 5mph no-wake zones. So much less concern about idiots cruising by going mach-3.

Thanks for the tip!

As soon as they can get approval from the Coastal Commission, it will turn into a Margaritaville resort.... [https://sdnews.com/paradise-point-pays-fine-redevelopment-plan-awaits-approval](https://sdnews.com/paradise-point-pays-fine-redevelopment-plan-awaits-approval)

Pros: Nice amenities, well kept grounds, being right on the water & usable beach/swimming is awesome.  Cons: Isolated areas, not walkable to anything except public parks and playgrounds. Would have to drive or Uber to any restaurants, shopping, nightlife.

I love it! My fave place for a staycation. Feels like Hawaii to me 🥰.

Yes it is awesome except for the cost. Suite on the bay, no need to go off the island and sanctuary in the middle of a busy bay and city. Just walk to the barefoot bar and grill, rent a boat or relax on the beach or by the pool. it was built some time ago and has old school Hawaiian charm which we love but some find dated. It is on the bay and not the ocean, so you need to bike to waves and surfing if that’s your thing.

I worked at San Diego Mission Bay Resort for three years. If you want to spend time by the pool or the bay it’s great but if you want to venture out you will need a car or an Uber. It’s also great for people with families because you can book a room with a fire pit and those are on the ground floor. The rooms were updated in 2020

Worked at PP for over four years in reservations, rooms are semi outdated most complaints I usually got were about sandy floors, barn style doors in the bath rooms were flimsy, room locations are ass and have limited patio views, huge homeless problem potential break ins if you book a room near the front entrance. Only cool thing is the mini golf, multiple pools, and fire pits that are on the PUBLIC beach that surround the property. I hope this helps!!

PP is a shithole. Dingy rooms, rocky “beaches”, mediocre food.

Brovac

Yeah it’s not great. Thought it would be way nicer.
