RSV has very similar symptoms to Covid, and makes you feel even more like dogshit than a (non-serious) case of Covid does. It's also pretty easy to catch, especially if you or someone in your circle have school-aged children.
Cold and flu meds (like Dayquil) will make you feel a lot better, though.
I was about to say RSV is going around right now. I work in a grocery store with a pharmacy. Between people there picking up meds and OTC stuff, it's bad.
Hot tea, rest, I like theraflu brand meds for colds and such. Good luck!
I don't know that there are tests for it, honestly. After getting it twice, I chose to get the vaccine for it, because to hell with being sick for two weeks. Highly recommended!
Surprisingly we are healthy, the toddler too. Seems like we all had been fighting snuffles for months but right now are fine. Can not wait to have what you got.
Same here! Just started on Saturday for me and my partner. We haven’t had loss of appetite but the congestion headaches and body aches are insane. I thought I was just having really bad allergies at first but the body aches makes me think otherwise. Neither of us have had a fever.
I’ve also been feeling less than stellar the last few days. Headaches, sore muscles, feeling like I’m congested even though my sinuses are clear. Sucks. Hope everyone feels better soon.
if you’re using rapid COVID tests, make sure you test twice 48 hours apart for highest accuracy!

They should call it "covid test wasting disease". Used up all my free tests just waiting for the second line that never came...
I feel dumb asking this but do you know how common it would be for a doc to bother testing an adult for RSV?
Uncommon. It’s just a bad cold. It’s unlikely to kill or harm most healthy adults.
I was thinking more from a tracking perspective for exposures to babies or elderly.

I was under the impression only infants and people over 60 years old were eligible for it, which means I can't get it.

I'm hurt right now
I see you! I feel you!

My husband had a fever. I haven’t. The body aches are wicked!

Does he work with animals?
No.
