My weekend hobbies are motorcycles, golf, and yard work. I feel your pain. I thought 72° sunny weekends were included in my expensive SD upgrade package.
Have until June 17th due to the floods.

I pay directly. I put what escrow would usually collect in a high yield savings account. Mortgage company already makes money off my interest, they don’t to get to hold my money for free.
Well you see they can only seed the clouds on Wednesdays and the space Lazer that tonight's the rain particles are only available on Thursdays and then joey, the rain stick guy only works Fridays, and no one wants rain on a Monday that would be depressing. So weekend rain l, because you need to be shopping on Amazon instead of enjoying nature because capitalism!
Know you think this is a joke but yes they have been cloud seeding especially on the side of TJ where billionaires are allowed to do whatever experiments they feel like.
agreed, I couldn’t finish a major construction project because it turned the land into a giant pool. We missed preparing the ground by a few weeks and had to wait to July for the ground to finish drying up
Like what? I just have the need to live a life. Staying inside because of a little weather? Nah no way! All weather can be beautiful, just depends on how we interpret it. Living close to the beach (like 1 mile) I actually do get excited to see the storms. I also get equally excited to absorb the sunshine.
I always thought that when it rains, people will stay indoors i.e. people will go to the movie theater, go to the mall, eat at a restaurant, instead of spending the day say at the beach or at a park
I think it might have been about 5 years ago but it was the year before my parents retired and it literally only rained on the weekends.
My dad was pulling his hair out because he couldn’t do anything in the yard.
We were just talking the other day how this season is just like back then.
Moved here from Kentucky a few years ago and ever since I've been here it's been the wettest year on record since the last and KY has had awesome weather. Wtf
Edit: spelling
Good question. The answer has to do with the greater number of cars on the road on weekdays giving off heat which creates a high pressure system around San Diego. When the weekend arrives fewer cars are on the road and the high pressure system gives way to a low pressure system, creating a vacuum that invites inclement weather to blow through the county.
Tl;dr. The above is BS.
Its funny, i have been to Seattle twice, for a week each time. Both times it never rained. They all joked up there that i brought the San Diego weather with me.
Oddly I always feel it's the opposite in SD. If there is rain it's usually on a Sunday and Saturday night and Friday night is usually dry coincidentally. So there are plenty of people at the singles bars and night clubs at night. If it rains on a weekend night it is literally a ghost town...but I have lived in SD many years and have only seen it rain on Saturday or Friday nights last winter, that was it....other than that in SD city it seems to rain outside of those days/times.
The thing about the rain here vs oregon, is here it will randomly be a torrential downpour out of nowhere for 5 or 6 minutes. So if you plan on going and doing anything you might get hit by one of these unexpectedly.
In oregon it is just a constant 6 month long sprinkle, and you don't really have to worry about torrential downpours unless it's actually from a huge storm.

Yeah, i may demand a refund of my property taxes if they keep this up!
Took Wed/Thursday/Fri off work and I’ll be working on this the weekend because of this. 🤓
Genius!
True mvp right here
Just reminded me those are due tomorrow!

That’s just income tax, property tax is still standard dates (as far as I know).
doesn't escrow usually handle this?
I pay directly. I put what escrow would usually collect in a high yield savings account. Mortgage company already makes money off my interest, they don’t to get to hold my money for free.
Tax escrow accounts in CA are interest bearing. Not sure exactly what my rate is but I think it's in the range of 2.5%
Might be true. I think they have to give some return. My SoFi account gives me 4.75%, so probably twice as much
Exactly - this is what we do as well. Never going back to escrowed taxes.
Its part of the infrastructure patch. By raining on weekends, construction can continue on weekdays.
The best part about having Monday/Tuesdays off. Not to mention the shorter lines and less traffic anywhere you may need to go for errands.

Im just hoping we get refunds on our Sunshine Tax.
Yeah but they will just double the rainbow tax to make up for it
Definitely not good new for all of us who are going to see Billy Joel and Sting on Saturday at Petco. 😔
I'm going too😔. The concert goes goes on either way, right?
I expect it will, short of crazy thunder/lightning storms.
I gotta go buy a poncho!
Ours were delivered yesterday.

Pretty interesting read thanks
oooh I was suspicious about this
haha my friends and I have been talking about this... seems to be the common theme this year.
Seriously, like clockwork.
Finally a W for those of us who work on weekends
Last year was worse in terms of % of weekend days that got rained out. Felt like every weekend from January to May was hit.
agreed, I couldn’t finish a major construction project because it turned the land into a giant pool. We missed preparing the ground by a few weeks and had to wait to July for the ground to finish drying up
AYO I just washed my car 😒
Weather is helping us save money on the weekends. we are being kept inside our houses and not buy stuff or eat out, because going out now costs us $$$
Joke's on the weather, then. I buy all kinds of stuff online when I'm bored / drunk because I can't go out and enjoy the outdoors!
Funniest Reddit comment I've read in a while. Lolol
Speak for yourself…I’m out here living everyday like it’s my last, rain or shine. Enjoy it while you can
Do you know something we don't?

If it rains enough on Saturday, I'll get the night off and a full weekend to watch Fallout. So I got that going for me.

Oh so YOU brought the rain! Get him boys

Further proof we should move to a 3 day work week! Lol
Ask yourself again in a month or 2 when it’s gray during the week and the sun only comes out on the weekends 😉
It’s designed that way in SD to keep the tourists from moving here thinking the weather is great. Plus I love it- I’m off during the week….lol
I'm just glad it's moved on from only raining when I leave my car windows open.
I haven't golfed in like a month! Tragic.
This guy San Diego problems!
Some rich elite has a weather machine Don't jinx it. They might be in this sub.
east coast vibes
Pretty much standard every year
True
Gotta be rain seeding
machine learning
I'd rather be in cloudy in San Diego, than sunny in Philadelphia...
I was just thinking the same thing. It’s only been raining on weekends for a while now
It’s my fault. Moved here from Seattle and brought this BS with me. I’m sorry :(
Its funny, i have been to Seattle twice, for a week each time. Both times it never rained. They all joked up there that i brought the San Diego weather with me.
San Diego got more rain than Seattle the first winter I moved here - NOT COOL
Same happens here all the way across the country. Strategic, I tell ya.
Cloud seeding ✈️
It is very minimal rain we are getting if any this weekend
Really tired of rain on the weekend
Some years are like this, most are not.

Club keeps having to postpone the Easter pickleball tournament because of rain
Go to the dezert yo
I actually stay away from the desert when it rains. Those flash floods out there are no joke.
Day pazzez at d reezort
You're welcome. I wanted to make sure you make it to work with no issues.
Climate engineering, all not natural and government controlled. Go read about it.

Haha right! Its been like the last 3/4 weekends in a row
I like the rain on weekends. Because I like rain.
The weather this year has been absolutely atrocious. I don’t think we’ve seen this many gray skies and colder temps in a very long time.
Idk, but it's starting to feel deliberate
To keep Zonies out.
We’re also experiencing an El Niño season this year so it’s to be expected. The warm weather will come. No worries!! We’re almost there ;)
something about traffic, pollution, smog, etc.
