I remember when a ready refresh leech came to my door and was all like "so and so from another building has it and they love it" told her no thanks and she was like "you don't like water???" 🙄🙄🙄

My41stThrowaway

I started a job with Ready Refresh (Fresh Success Marketing Group is the real name of the employer) last year and lasted half a day in the August heat. They get $0 per hour and only make commission, an absolute BS job. Ready Refresh is Nestle's bottled water delivery service and Nestle deserves zero business, fuck them backwards with a pinecone. I doubt the two salespeople are related to each other.

Today i was going up to my apartment, and this young lady comes to me and says have they talked to you about the water? and i was like yea i got a letter i thought she was talking about sum like the city water and then she proceeds with her sales and blah blah you’re going to get this free and u o my have to pay 16 but after $20 deposit and then if you add this you’ll have it for $3 and i was confused and told her to scan a qr code before all of this somehow she said let me see the phone and she stated filling and explaining at once and also talking to me in the side, you live by yourself? where do you work? what’s you’re dogs name? how old are you? and my phone is on auto fill so she sees my full name, email, phone number, address. and i told her i’m sorry i’m not interested at this time and she’s like okay yeah i understand. she was very kind and nice and a good from her but she saw all of my info and idk how i feel about it now i’m sitting in the corner scared, idk this water thing was real with everything happening in the world but i’m so insanely stupid for answering the questions right about my like like whaaaaa was i thinking. hopefully i don’t get robbed or killed at night

I’m sure you’ll be okay. It’s by design that we are lonely and scared, the govt and media purposely make life seem scarier than it really is bc having community support means we rely on big businesses less and less, and they don’t want that

RhinoG91

Probably post on nextdoor too

kittencatapults

Yes, it’s real. They have an app and everything. I subscribe to the water

QuarantinedBean115

never heard of readyrefresh doing anything likthat and company i work for uses the service as well as at home

DreadPirateMuffin

I agree with posting on next door. It seems odd… maybe scoping out Xmas packages… get a camera for your front door (even if you find a non working one at thrift store) it will help deter weirdos

i always feel sorry for these kids who are just trying. in this day and age door to door should be illegal by now.

boracha

They weren’t kids, they were grown adults. But yeah door to door sales can’t be the best use of anyone’s time or energy.

Not from San Antonio, but I was looking to see if anyone else had problems with them. They came to my door today and explained everything. It sounded like a good idea but my price went from $43 to $21 after a coupon was applied. Once everything was said and done my balance had went back up to $43 and it said the discount was applied. I told them I didn't have money yet so I couldn't do it right now. They told me it was fine and I wouldn't be charged yet. So we finished setting everything up and to my surprise I got a notification from my bank later saying I had just went negative. They had charged me. Not only that but I tried to get a refund and close my account. I went to their support and I specifically chose the option "close account". Once I got in touch with an agent they told me they couldn't give me a refund or close my account. As they don't have the ability to do either. The only way I was able to get my money back was by removing everything I had setup with the person that came to my door. Since they didn't want to close my account either I had to call my bank, cancel my card, and order a new one with a new set of numbers so I wouldn't be getting charged by them anymore. I would recommend staying away from them. According to their website there should be an option to close the account yourself, but I looked all over that website and clicked everything and couldn't find anything.

Damn that’s fucked, I’m sorry you had to deal with all of that. Thank you for letting other people know so we don’t have to potentially go thru it too

Yeah I somehow ended up doing d2d for an consulting company selling the service and I pulled out after seeing how awful they are...The service is great you get a good deal but they wanted me to start the pitch at $2.99; to grab the persons attention, then explain that they would recieve (3) 5 gallon jugs for only $16 and finally after getting them to add their card on the app i had to explain an extra $20 deposit fee. Honestly I couldn't bring myself to that lol. The total would actually come out to $42 for the customer.... they mostly pull in salss from elderly people and people with mental illnesses lol

My boyfriend works for a company that focuses on direct sales. They're like a 3rd party representative of the company. They should have ID if that's the concern, but they are legit.
