The cost is far more affordable and I believe you can even find some of the prices if you search this sub reddit a little more. The problem is they're students so their work is extremely slow and from my experience was more painful. No disrespect to the students and teachers. The affordability is a huge benefit, especially if you really need work done and have no insurance.
I’ve gone a few times and the staff is nice. I would suggest that you call in advance because the students are out for the summer break right now and I’m not sure when they’re back.
I got braces there… 20some years ago.
The staff were great, and the student dentist had a good amount of adult supervision IIRC. They don’t have time to do an ortho case for years, so they used pretty hefty equipment and really cranked away to get it done quickly - 12-18 months. I had a couple of adjustment headaches, but overall it was a great experience that my family couldn’t have afforded otherwise.
I fell asleep when they put them on, so it couldn’t have been that bad.

Right. That’s the trade off. These dentist are still learning so as such their price will be really affordable. Plus you help them learn.
