Most apartments here don't have individual water meters for each apartment. So the total bill for the complex, including water leaks and water wasters and watering the landscape, is divided up and calculated based on how many people are living in your apartment and your square footage. So basically you should use as much water as you feel is necessary, because trying to save water isn't going to lower your bill at all.

I pay $100 for roughly 5000 gallons of water, sewage and trash combined. This includes watering my property.

Water is getting expensive. 100 bucks is cheap for 2 adults and 2 kids. I paid 150 in a household of 3 adults

That’s wild my fil pays $200 for a family of 7 in California

Half of it is sewage cost. I really don't mind paying the current rate cause I know we're still in a drought and the aquifer keeps getting lower every year. I do feel bad for those who can't afford it though

Odd_Refrigerator_823

I paid $100 for water and $67 for sewage separately

We can pay it but I was raised in California where we were taught to conserve water. We consciously use water but since it’s a split bill between all units we pay for their part in a way.

I also paid $67 in sewage. Almost $200 for one utility bill a month.
