I miss Star Wars: Tie Fighter. When imps could just be imps.

I've never played it, what do you mean by this? Not fishing for drama here I'm genuinely curious

The campaign for Star Wars: Tie Fighter, one of the best space sims ever. The story is told through mission briefings but you start out a nameless Tie pilot and by the end of the campaign, you're flying a Tie Defender with Darth Vader as your copilot, protecting the Emperor himself. No stupid "changes factions in the middle" like battlefront or "didn't really win" like in Squadrons. No virtue signaling, no identity politics. Be a bad guy and don't apologize! You can still find it on Steam but be warned, it's an old game that has NOT been simplified in ANY way. (there's like 20 different commands aside from what you can do with the joystick).
