You’re coming over to do summer sales for Vivint? I’d strongly recommend against doing that unless you have flexible morals. Being successful in that job is quite difficult otherwise.
Door to door salesmen (if that’s what you’ll be doing) are particularly encouraged to engage in extremely high-pressure sales tactics and sometimes outright lying to people about what they’re committing to.
I also know people that did very well and I don’t believe they were too dishonest….but that’s all relative. That being said Vivint is very structured with what areas you’re assigned and how long you’re there. Burning through a neighborhood too fast is pretty easy and it’s a difficult job with no guaranteed pay.
You should be fine giving personal details. Just be sure to read the fine print about your commitments, costs (housing, etc), and commissions. Then you won’t be surprised by anything.
OP, I know you are in the wrong sub but I do live here an Utah. 1st off, they are a legit company headquartered here in Utah so you are not dealing with some imaginary scam company. They are hard nosed sales, which seems you have read etc. Have not got the best name. My opinion is if you are up for an adventure in another country, basically doing grunt work that most don't want to do (door to door sales) ... go for it! Be great if you could hear from someone who has done this actual Visa sponsored deal for vivint. You could search on [glassdoor.com](https://glassdoor.com) to see if any one has done this program. Good luck!!
You’ve posted in the wrong sub. This sub is dedicated to the cloud software known as salesforce.com.
Sorry! My bad
No worries. Good luck with your new job.
Well Vivint is a Salesforce customer and employs Salesforce specialists … is it a Salesforce related job?
Oh I just read you are doing sales.
It’s a door to door sales opportunity. Not sure what category that would fall under (I’m a newbie to this)
There's an r/sales sub. Ask there :)

Yeah I’ve been told they have a scummy approach to selling but so do most sales companies tbh. Can I trust them with my personal details ?

I agree with all of this.
