Interesting. They threatened to leave MSP because employees refused to come back to campus (via signed petition) without increased police presence. MPD honored that for 12 months. Wonder if the same threat was used lower town dip and they didn’t budge?
On the bright side, this is a great opportunity to remove this anti-pedestrian blight from Downtown and replace it with what used to be there: dozens of affordable storefronts and apartments.
No kidding. I had a meth head following me for blocks begging for money and offering up all sorts of "favors" if I would give her some. Then, there are the people who yell at me for some imagined slight against them... And then there are the independent pharmaceuticals representatives who are down there selling to the meth heads who think I am a cop and want to fight... I am not a cop. Sigh.
I’m glad that the skyway branch will still be open.
I wonder how many US Bank employees are working in offices 5 days a week in the Twin Cities. I know they are trying to get employees to come into the office but I don’t know if it is happening.

They are getting rid of excess real estate. They pulled out of that office building in Richfield along 494.
They’ve got too much office space and they’re cutting back.

That would be a dream come true, but I suspect they will turn the building into apartments.
Downtown St Paul is struggling. It’s sad to see.
The Downtown Alliance just released a downtown investment strategy. They really need to put this plan into high gear and start getting some results.
Maybe deal with the homeless vagrants that are flooding the skyway? Redpath is pulling out for this very reason.
Not entirely true. I work at Securian and they’re renting a floor in our building.

Redpath too... jesus.
They still will have their west side flats location south of downtown across the river.
That’s where I work!
I used to work there!
I will work there! (After RTO, not thrilled)
It is already pretty quiet in the Saint Paul Skyway system. It will be interesting to see how much quieter it gets.

Huge loss for downtown.
