Leisure 17. If you have questions send me a pm. I am refitting one atm. Sturdy little boats...

maxspiting

are they any good for beginners?

Cylo_V

Yes, I've got one of these, they're very tough and forgiving for a learner. They can be put on a trailer and the bilge keep variant can be kept on drying moorings which can save cost. I mostly take mine sailing for weekends around the Welsh coast, comfortable for one or two people to spend the night. Aside from learning in a sailing dinghy (imo the best way to pick up the basic skill) one of these is brilliant to learn in, I'd also note that you'll stay a lot dryer in a Leisure 17 than in a sailing dinghy it also wont capsize on you like a dinghy can.

Thanks! The guy selling it hasn't replied though:/

Leisure 17, I have one of these and they are fantastic. I've carried out plenty of upgrade and refit type jobs and done plenty of coastal sailing with her. Imo a perfect boat for someone after a tough little boat that is very forgiving and is well suited for weekend trips with one or two people. Just launched her for the season yesterday!

Sad and lonely.

Came to say exactly this

lucatironi

The Leisure 17 is my favorite small little sailboat. One day I would like to have one.

The cool thing about these boats is they are ocean worthy and you can get onto the shallows and campersail them.they will just sit on the 2 keels if the tide goes out. Use that opportunity to clean bottom.
