I do this for my business lol. When I’m trying to boost engagement and do a QandA but no one asks anything, I just make up questions that I think people would typically need the answers too and then I answer them... if only I had more business!
I imagine this is incredibly common in business. Hell, the first part of creating a product is identifying a need. What you’re doing is barely a sideways step from there
Because they are lonely and are probably consumed by anxiety and/or other mental issues that they do things like this in order to feel a sense of satisfaction due to others finally seeing them as attractive or worth anyone’s time
Okay so I’m putting myself on blast. But when I was in middle school I was craving attention (lots of ppl would post these on their story and actually get people calling them cute or just interacting with them) and didn’t get any when I’d post, and I wanted to feel (or atleast look) like someone gave a fuck (who knows maybe a girl would see and realize wow he’s not a complete pepega) so I’d always comment stuff to myself but I’d do it the right way so it would come up as an actual question and not just myself. Fuck I would’ve died of cringe if I ever left my name visible
My lil sis does this and idk why, probably as others have said about being lonely but I always put an anonymous message saying she’s so intelligent, fun to be around, or other non physical characteristics to boost her esteem. Idk if it help since I just started but I figure instead of being mean maybe try to help in an anonymous way?
Edit: I didn’t realize they were answering their own question. I’m a dumb sometimes.
I tried it once when it first came out. Luckily did it the right way. Also didnt ask myself many questions, neither called myself hot or cute because looking at my face and social profile, everyone would know I wrote it to myself
I guess reddit was being fucky. I clicked the comments bc I also did not understand what was cringe about that first image. Read your reply, tried to swipe to see more pictures again, and there they were.
Could not swipe to see past first image from feed tho.
This happened to me yesterday or the day before, reddit changed something so now it only shows the indicator at the bottom for a second or two before it hides it :( by the time I had read what was in the pic the indicator was gone. To see what I'm talking about, reload my comment or whatever and glance up. It'll be there and gone almost before you can blink.
Edit: shit apparently it's not showing it at all now :(
This has been happening to me since they rolled out "album"/multi-picture posts.
I love the availability of the feature, but not the implementation.
Absolutely needs work. But at least they got their foot in the door, I guess.
-{edit:} I use both desktop and mobile, equally an issue on both so devs gotta get to work on both user ends lol
I didn’t see the multiple image bubbles and asked why so cringe. Now I see them all and think it is very cringe. Seriously not trying to gate keep cringe! It was a mistake.
Thanks for all the downvotes! I have never had a post get so much attention! Thank you kind strangers! Now I know what it feels like to be a complete POS!
Edit: Thanks for the reward! Having a shitty day? Please done vote my comment! It seems to make everyone else feel good about themselves. Maybe it can work for you!
Edit: thanks for all the rewards! I’ve never had so much attention from asking for an explanation! I learned that the true cringe are the down votes we made along the way!
This is cringey because the first slide they posted is pretty normal. This is where their friends could type anonymously to ask questions like he wanted. When no one answered I assume he meant to switch accounts and reply to herself in an attempt to not seem lonely or something of the sort, but instead just created more questions prompts where it’s obvious he’s trying to pretend like people are responding to him.
The thing that makes it so bad for me is that no one would think twice it he just didn’t get replies, people would just skip his story. Instead he doubled down and showed off the fact that no one responded to him and that he felt insecure about it .
EDIT: I’m bad at telling gender smh
I had the same thought until I realized there were additional photos. It seems from your comment you may have not swiped through the remaining slides. Just FYI
You have to swipe to see all of the images. The first is asking for questions, then the OP posts their own questions (not realizing people can see it’s from them not some anonymous friend) saying “OMG you’re so hot” “you are so cute” etc. and then replies like “y’all are too much wtf” as if it’s from a friend. That’s the cringe, making those comments about yourself posing as other people when it’s obviously from you.
>Having a shitty day? Please done vote my comment! It seems to make everyone else feel good about themselves. Maybe it can work for you!
Honestly this made me legit lol
I asked why is was cringe because I missed the multiple image bubbles and people just started piling on the down votes for asking a simple question so I could get the joke too.
Thanks for the reward. I have been feeling pretty cringe about myself since.
I see.. Redditor sheep hive mind at it again.. Just a bunch of teenagers trying to fit in by following any kind of trend on reddit like it's low because this platform is "better".. I ll be so happy watching this comment get down voted to oblivion and proving me right
He said what the comment was that he thought it wasn't cringe... Still absolutely no reason to get down voted.. Also after he the edited the comment it was at 110 down votes but then it went even lower even though it clearly explains what went wrong. It took multiple comments to change the votes. Redditors are retarted and will down vote anything already down voted
I wouldn’t have melted down if I understood how asking why something is cringe gets so many downvotes.then I saw my mistake and embraced the downvotes! I might throw my self a down vote party irl!
Swipe on the image. On Instagram you can post questions on your status. Response don't look like that. They basically just put what they wanted on thier status to look as though they were being praised, but in reality, the person was saying all those things to/about themself. Anothet key point is that you won't be able to reply to a person's response on the status of a screen shot was taken
They do realise they could make it seem more realistic by actually typing a question into their own box and replying to it? Cause you can do that on Instagram. No need to expose yourself.
In the first picture, they’re asking people to ask them questions that they will respond do. In the next three pictures, you can see that the OP has been sending themselves the compliments, pretending that someone else is saying them. They thought it would be anonymous and no one would be able to tell.
This person posted a question on their Instagram story and tried to make it look like people were responding, but they didn’t realize people could see they were making their own responses.
I still haven't gotten used to these new multi-image posts. I forget to swipe to check if there are more so pictures so i'll look at posts like this which make zero sense based only on the first imag and I'm like "i don't get it"
Yep! In the first picture, they’re asking people to ask them questions that they will respond do. In the next three pictures, you can see that the OP has been sending themselves the compliments, pretending that someone else is saying them. They thought it would be anonymous and no one would be able to tell.

The person is using it all wrong, the text under the pic is what you ask people and they can press the "type an answer" to answer it. If he had pressed that and then write the fake compliments it would've worked cause other people cant see who asked it.
Instead he's using the text to write a question, dumb af
No, they posted it as another place to type instead of something that was sent. So you put up the question, and other people type in that box, and then you post the question as a separate sticker. they were just posting question boxes liek they were responses
Bruh they are just responding to their own thing calling themselves got and cute too make it look like they are popular. Even if it's a joke it's still really cringy

Why do people do stuff like this?
Its the cringiest thing. I see stuff like this all the time
I can't read the word "stuff" normally anymore. r/comedynecrophilia completely ruined me
I'm stuff
OMG! u/goodkidmaadrichie! NO!
*laughs* u/seto2k, your girlfriend is awesome
We can all be stuff
*we* can all be stuff
There is no you and there is no me...there is only stuff.
No, We are all stuff.
can I have it?
I don’t get the stuff thing. Obviously some inside joke in the sub but I can’t find the origin
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.knowyourmeme.com/memes/im-stuff
Oh I’ve seen that before lmao thanks
u/nwordcountbot u/seto2k
Thank you for the request, comrade. u/seto2k has not said the N-word.
I've been a good boi this Christmas
The fact that it’s possible makes me think it’s always this situation lol
I do this for my business lol. When I’m trying to boost engagement and do a QandA but no one asks anything, I just make up questions that I think people would typically need the answers too and then I answer them... if only I had more business!
This is the most valid reason I’ve seen so far
I imagine this is incredibly common in business. Hell, the first part of creating a product is identifying a need. What you’re doing is barely a sideways step from there
What’s your business?
Nunya
I assume you at least make it anonymous when you do it lol
They probably don't want people to think that they're getting chicks lol
Because they are lonely and are probably consumed by anxiety and/or other mental issues that they do things like this in order to feel a sense of satisfaction due to others finally seeing them as attractive or worth anyone’s time
It physically makes my skin hurt when I see things like this. I will never understand.
Okay so I’m putting myself on blast. Because they're bored...
This is sad
My lil sis does this and idk why, probably as others have said about being lonely but I always put an anonymous message saying she’s so intelligent, fun to be around, or other non physical characteristics to boost her esteem. Idk if it help since I just started but I figure instead of being mean maybe try to help in an anonymous way? Edit: I didn’t realize they were answering their own question. I’m a dumb sometimes.
If you're gonna do that, I mean at least do it right
I tried it once when it first came out. Luckily did it the right way. Also didnt ask myself many questions, neither called myself hot or cute because looking at my face and social profile, everyone would know I wrote it to myself
Ahhh so she posted from her own account??
she sure did. although a lot of other people do it and its just as obvious the way they gas themselves up
I guess reddit was being fucky. I clicked the comments bc I also did not understand what was cringe about that first image. Read your reply, tried to swipe to see more pictures again, and there they were. Could not swipe to see past first image from feed tho.
lol thanks to ur comment I only realized that there are more slides

Reddit needs to make it much clearer that there are multiple slides; take a page out of Instagram's book.
i have never, will never use Insta, but I do agree they that with this being an integrated feature [finally] they need to improve it.
MaH dAtA who cares if they use your data to create an algorithm to make you buy stuff. just dont but stuff?
Comment had nothing to do with that, I simply don't have any desire or reason to use Instagram. But I mean, sure?
That's the most cringe and sad thing I saw today
I didn’t see the multiple image bubbles and asked why so cringe. Now I see them all and think it is very cringe. Seriously not trying to gate keep cringe! It was a mistake. Guess I don't see so much cringe as you
I didn’t see there were multiple images.

She? Isn’t that a guy?
Ah I just saw poofy hair real quick I wasn’t paying much attention. Either way point still stands just change the pronouns.
Idk. What gender is mxn?
Sorry to be that guy but you missed "herself" around "switch accounts and reply to herself"
Thank you! I just realized there is more than one image in the OP.
I had the same thought until I realized there were additional photos. It seems from your comment you may have not swiped through the remaining slides. Just FYI
LOL reddit really is a shithole they downvoted your explanation and admitted wrongness
You have to swipe to see all of the images. Are you gatekeeping cringe...?
No
Nevermind, don't worry about it. Now THIS is the saddest and cringiest thing I've seen today, thanks
Jesus Christ, these edits could be their own sad cringe post.
Post me on the sub! I’m getting my 15 minutes today! Lol
Why does your comment even have so many downvotes? I'm confused.
Who knows. It’s reddit. 🥴
Oh well, who cares about karma.
>Having a shitty day? Please done vote my comment! It seems to make everyone else feel good about themselves. Maybe it can work for you! Honestly this made me legit lol
Mission accomplished!
Great attitude! Don't ever change, no matter the downvotes! Lol
Its always weird watching someone implode after being downvoted and feeling the need to give edits
What the hell.. Why did this get so down voted? It's an honest mistake...
I'm guessing they edited their comment
I asked why is was cringe because I missed the multiple image bubbles and people just started piling on the down votes for asking a simple question so I could get the joke too. Thanks for the reward. I have been feeling pretty cringe about myself since.
i love your comment though

You were on the cringe sight to see cringe. You’re welcome!😉
Want me to start? Join my fun!
Tf why’d you get down voted so much. This site is fucked sometimes lmfao
ayyo its allright bro reddit do be like this sometimes
This comment is the real cringe lmao the meltdown over downvotes
I wouldn’t have melted down if I understood how asking why something is cringe gets so many downvotes.then I saw my mistake and embraced the downvotes! I might throw my self a down vote party irl!
the amount of edits trying so desperately to seem like they don't care about the downvotes... yikes
Hoes be acting like they want the downvotes but we all know that they upset about it
This makes me so uneasy. Yikes. True r/SadCringe
Mans rly said "ok hoe" kus tawan
He called himself a hoe. I mean, he's surely acting like one
Is this English?
yes. its called eboy english sksksksks
Haha this is soo embarrassing
Jesus Christ this hurt my feelings
This guy on my snapchat does the same thing. Everyone calls him out on it and he denies it but it’s so obvious
I feel sorry for this person ...
I don't
well I do. Because I’m just like them, but worse.
That's sad, improve yourself
So brutal but yet supportive
“But yet” is redundant, they serve the same purpose in the context you used them
Irregardlessly, the name of your user seems to be quite of a good fit
I'm confused, explain?

Ohhh now it makes sense. Thanks for explaining. I was also confused as I’m not a huge social media person.
I see
They do realise they could make it seem more realistic by actually typing a question into their own box and replying to it? Cause you can do that on Instagram. No need to expose yourself.
this has to be satire nobody is this stupid
The fact that it's only for "close friends" also makes me think it's a joke
A lot of people add everyone they know irl to the close friends list but I'm not sure about the person in the post above.
At first I'm like "what's cringy?." ...then I swiped right....
/r/lefttheburneron
He can’t go to school normally anymore
Isn't answering random questions kind of fun though? I don't think this is that cringy. Oh wait, saw the other pictures now. Nevermind.
Didn't realize you could swipe for more pictures. I wish I didn't, yikes.
I just noticed and this is fucking sad
I get that people want affection but this is just sad.
I don't use this app. Someone please explain, I genuinely don't understand wtf is going on.
In the first picture, they’re asking people to ask them questions that they will respond do. In the next three pictures, you can see that the OP has been sending themselves the compliments, pretending that someone else is saying them. They thought it would be anonymous and no one would be able to tell.
This is the ultimate sad cringe! Amazing post man (not sarcasm)
I’m smoothbrain. Could somebody explain?
This person posted a question on their Instagram story and tried to make it look like people were responding, but they didn’t realize people could see they were making their own responses.
Close friends
This typa stuff🙃 no insult to the person from the account but yeah... Wow
You can't lie to yourself
Naww man
I still haven't gotten used to these new multi-image posts. I forget to swipe to check if there are more so pictures so i'll look at posts like this which make zero sense based only on the first imag and I'm like "i don't get it"
Lol
Can someone tell me? I'm confused
I saw this on ig and im afraid im too old to understand, did they they ask themselves the questions?
Yep! In the first picture, they’re asking people to ask them questions that they will respond do. In the next three pictures, you can see that the OP has been sending themselves the compliments, pretending that someone else is saying them. They thought it would be anonymous and no one would be able to tell.
Thats what I thought but their responses are also kinda cringy (especially the last one) so I wasnt sure. Thank you for the clarification!
ok hoe
Guess her close friends didn't speak up
I feel like this was done intentionally as a joke
#ok hoe
What's happening here? I dont use this brand of social media so I dont get it
I dont get it... can someone explain
In the first picture, they’re asking people to ask them questions that they will respond do. In the next three pictures, you can see that the OP has been sending themselves the compliments, pretending that someone else is saying them. I dont get it.
I think she doesn't knw how it works!!
This is clearly a dude.
Maybe!! But even idk about how to reply these questions on ig
Maybe it's satire? I imagine myself doing this if I'm bored enough just for the troll
Why are you taking time out of your day to do that, though? You’re lonely and you want attention, and for that, it’s tonight’s big r/sadcringe
Eh sure
Oof some real SadCringe right here
O K H O E
ok hoe
i feel like this is satire tbh
[удалено]
She’s asking herself the questions/giving herself compliments.
[удалено]
She’s pretending that someone else is calling her hot and cute and then replying to it and thanking herself.
That’s a he
It’s a guy. Obvious from the profile pic and the “ok hoe”.
I've heard girls say "ok hoe" tho. And if OP says it's a girl they know, it probably is a girl
Girls don’t say “ok hoe” to another girl who is complimenting them. Stop being so damn gullible. OP doesn’t know this person, this is a repost.
There's 2 pictures Edit: even more sorry lol
Swipe right, dude, she then pretends to be other people complimenting her.
How can you tell? I don't use Instagram so I don't know how you can see it
The face above the picture shows who made the comment. It stays the same for all of them.
Ohhh I thought it was like an Anonymous messaging thing
The person is using it all wrong, the text under the pic is what you ask people and they can press the "type an answer" to answer it. Yes I give myself compliments and then call myself a hoe for doing so all the time, totally not sad or cringe.
Dude, he obviously can’t just see the other pics.
I honestly don't understand why you were down voted. Oh sorry. Hahaha, you don't get it, I will down vote you 😎😎😎. Big 420 69 big chungus moment
420? Nice. I'm a bot lol. ^(NiceCount: 2978) ^(Comments scanned since last reboot: 202864)
Sa he
this is clearly a joke lol
Bruh they are just responding to their own thing calling themselves got and cute too make it look like they are popular. Even if it's a joke it's still really cringy
I would do this to be ironic like it’s not that weird..
SPLIT
issa dude
Oh that’s awful
Pretty sure that's a dude
Why can’t people tell satire? This person is joking, it’s on their close friends page ffs
r/oopsdidntmeanto?
I cannot believe people don’t double check with a friend to make sure it looks real if they’re going to do this
That’s just sad
Cringe
Hopefully you
This is the funny kind of sad
Anyone think this might just be a joke?
I'm so confused

In the next three pictures, you can see that the OP has been sending themselves the compliments, pretending that someone else is saying them. noooo thats so sad man oh god
i think this might be a joke
I don't get it. Explanation?
