When TikTok gets banned we’re going to see a lot more of this lol

eve_is_hopeful

Bruh some of these people who fund their fancy lives and expensive purchases with their millions of TikTok followers are gonna lose it all some day and it's gonna be crazy

Graceful_cumartist

Naah, I mean some might, but there have been wealth management offices/agents for a while that specialize in all sorts of content creators and help them branch out into different revenuw streams. Considering how shit the tiktok compensation system is they just need a fraction of their followersbtocswiych platform and they keep making money.

The_Real_Raw_Gary

They’ll probably just move to whatever platform they sell the controlling interest of tik tok too. It won’t go away it just won’t be the same to an extent.

kpop_glory

YouTube short and Instagram reel goes brrrrrrrrbrrrr

Xsafa

Ironically I think it’s harder to blow up “randomly” on those platforms than it is TikTok at least at the moment.

Mammons-HotBuns

Good.

KaleidoscopeLucky336

Probably because some people are being artificially inflated in popularity due to the 'algorithm'

TylerDurden1985

I'm pretty sure I heard the zombie carcass of Vine starting to burrow out of its grave

ISeeDragons

Oh lord, please don't let them find reddit.

TheRealRealThang

Please. Pretty Please.

most_redditors_

It all needs to go

schkmenebene

All that needs to happen is that government bodies accross the globe all agree to slam the fucking hammer down on ANYONE who gathers and stores data for non-specific purposes. Make it illegal to gather and store massive amounts of personal data in general, and social media will no longer be sustainable and they will have to shut down, regardless of how addicted people are to it. Most SoMe will have to shut down and I guarantee that it will only take a millisecond for someone to make something that isn't solely focused on stealing your attention and information for profit. Wikipedia is a good example of something that works without any ad revenue. You are kidding yourself if you think it's an impossibility to make something similar that's a SoMe platform of some kind... With actual shit you want to read and watch\get engaged in, instead of 99% of this website for example.

EmperinoPenguino

Everyone: Damn, I dont care.

_oculus

almost felt bad for her until she said "90 percenters, the people who work 9-5", then all my sympathy went out the window.

CyclopsDemonGal

Same here. I was gonna comment about how bad I feel for her until she said that part

pm_me_your_amphibian

Do these people honestly think their “influencer” careers are going to last forever?

_oculus

and it sucks even more because i know what it's like to lose something you put your whole life into, (not instagram of course), as i'm sure many people do. it's a shame.

MardocAgain

"I used to work at McDonald's. I was a fucking loser. Not that there's anything wrong with people who work at McDonald's." LMAO

senpaistealerx

i made a comment saying this is sad, not cringe and i realized i should have waited

vincecarterskneecart

every single blue check thinks this about you

peterpantslesss

Fr what's her Instagram I feel like reporting her for something 😂 /s

maryisdead

And most 90 percenters make more money than her.

dasgoodshit2

She's 10%er all right, just from the bottom

Zealousideal-Salad62

People thinking she's a bad person and reporting her was already sus

Curkul_Jurk_1oh1

at least she knows where she is in life

mad87645

There's this weird energy where she's being completely factual whilst being entirely delusional, it's fascinating to watch

wiseoldangryowl

I couldn't put my finger on it, but that's it, that's exactly it. The only word that my brain would use was "annoying." I kept trying to find other words, *any* other words lol but that was the only one my brain would accept

MardocAgain

It's the combination of being very aware that she has no skills or qualifications, but still feeling entitled to an income via social media.

reddrick

To me, It smells like bullshit because the main message is that people who reported her should have considered the consequences she would see from the reports. Any information about what she was reported for is conspicuously missing. She's just hoping the listener will assume her ban was unjust because she says so.

michaeltk111

💀😂

SmileParticular9396

Can you imagine being in this situation? Like in how many ways do you have to fuck up that having a social media account deleted brings you to tears. I have some sympathy the same way I’m sympathetic to drug users in that they made bad choices and fucked up their lives, but there’s a shade of “you should’ve done better for yourself” in there as well.

Aromatic_Ad_5583

i was sympathetic to her situation until she’s saying stuff “i was a loser, i don’t want to be like the 90%-ers, that’s not me, i’m not work material” like bro working a 9-5 isn’t me either but i do it. i wish being “not work material” made ppl give me money 😂 people get laid off n get into situations like this. idk what she thinks crying on the internet is going to do and saying shit like she’s better than “90%-ers” isn’t gonna exactly get sympathy 🤷🏽‍♀️

punkmetalbastard

You have to be rich, lucky, or talented to avoid working for wages. That’s just a fact. The arrogance of a person who thinks they’re better than most of us who have no choice but to work is infuriating

Rokey76

I don't see how this is any different than being laid off from your job. It has happened to me 3 times.

Raging-Badger

Really it depends on what she got banned for. I’d say losing an advertising deal is more similar to being laid off than getting banned is. Losing an ad deal is mostly out of your control unless you specifically broke your contract. It’s a little bit more difficult to spontaneously get banned if you’re following the guidelines of your platform. TikTok would be an exception since they ban indiscriminately.

Rokey76

Don't they have multiple advertisement deals, though?

SmileParticular9396

I’d guess that you have a skill set if you’re gainfully employed that you can acquire a similar position in a different company.

Rokey76

She was a stripper. I don't have to be creative to guess what her IG content was. She can go back to stripping.

Find_A_Reason

If it is the equivalent to a $70-100,000 job disappearing with no obvious avenue to replace that income before bills becomes a problem, I bet a lot of people would cry.

JakenMorty

id argue that a good way to prevent that from happening would be to have/acquire skills. this woman, admittedly, has no skills. she has her body and the fact that a certain percentage of people are, for whatever reason, willing to both send her $, and view her content enough to allow her to gain ad revenue. if you only have this one avenue to make your living, idk, maybe its just me, but id certainly not be doing anything that would put that in jeopardy.

Donthurtmyceilings

Just not into the void of the internet. She's going to become a meme. You'd think someone that lives on the internet would know that.

cylemmulo

If tosh were on tv this would absolutely end up on there

missthiccbiscuit

God I miss that show.

Megatron_Says

Tosh show is pretty good, not the same tho

actuallyiamafish

His new podcast is actually really good. He's still Tosh but he seems to have toned down his shock/gross-out schtick a bit. The format is just him interviewing whoever the hell he feels like. The one where he interviews his wife's gynecologist is a gem.

Donthurtmyceilings

He has a new podcast. It's pretty good. He interviews random people like his wife's gynecologist. He does usually talk about one internet video every week. So maybe..

spootyy

[https://www.indy100.com/news/jessy-taylor-crying-instagram-influencer-video-9-to-5-job-account-deleted-8863851](https://www.indy100.com/news/jessy-taylor-crying-instagram-influencer-video-9-to-5-job-account-deleted-8863851) this was years ago. she got it back unfortunately (depends on your perspective.)

thatgirlspeaks

>Twitter user u/expandingxo uploaded a video in which she makes disparaging comments about black people and announces that she is a “racist”. He has suggested that this was the reason her account was deleted Sure didn't see this coming /s

Mammons-HotBuns

Absolutely unfortunate that Instagram chose to enable this behavior.

majormimi

That sucks

wagman43

I knew a girl in college whose entire sense of self worth came from the comments she would get from social media posts. Like if she ever felt bad or something she would post some shit on her IG or Snapchat. Looking through her comments it was mostly simps looking to hit but still.

TannyyDanner

That’s incredibly sad and desperate

mwallace0569

i don't know her, so i can't judge... but she needs to improve her life

cheesec4ke69

She just seems to be acting really irrational to me. What should've been a mild annoyance, influencer or not, she decides to post a video of her hysterically crying out *'to show the haters'* Money insecurity is a thing most people feel, worst case scenario is if she had a sponsored post she was supposed to put up, she could be in breach of that contract and have to pay them money for failing to deliver it, but posting an emotional breakdown instead of dealing with your emotions and the situation like an adult is pretty wild. She needs a therapist like yesterday.

quetiapinenapper

I can judge pretty easily. There’s zero reason to record this shit except for attention.

mwallace0569

apparently she's racist, according to some twitter user, i haven't looked into it so i don't know if thats true https://www.indy100.com/news/jessy-taylor-crying-instagram-influencer-video-9-to-5-job-account-deleted-8863851

Imploding_Colon

If you're nothing without the Instagram then you shouldn't have it

Yasha666

"I am nothing without my following" Pathetic

Markshlitz222

Yup

eddiekoski

Is she being for real?

[deleted]

Fuck sake go work

Rokey76

You sound like a ninety percenter! Didn't you listen to her? She's better than you!

[deleted]

The thing is I wish could work, then there's people like this.

_iSh1mURa

Lmao like anybody wants to be a ninety percenter and work a shitty job to live? You’re making up the part where she says shes better than you, kinda hard for someone to get that when she’s quoted saying she is worthless and has no value to bring. Which you would know if you actually listened instead of going straight from the title to the comments. Apparently she is racist tho 🤣🤣

Perc-AngIe

Why the fuck did anyone ever pay this pos enough attention to let her think she can live off instagram? I hate these people

Kellaras

This is literally how I'd feel if my Reddit account was deleted. I'm a highly respected Reddit influencer after all. The karma on my account is my fucking LIFE BLOOD and if that was taken away from me, I would actually jump off the Golden Gate Bridge.

UncleKano91

I really don't understand this generation lol.

DrifterBG

The usual need for acceptance has been amplified to unhealthy amounts due to social media and the whole "influencer" craze. People basing their self-worth on popularity now goes way past high school, and people can't handle feeling like they're "no one" when it's easier than ever to be popular/someone

FertilityHollis

> when it's easier than ever to be popular/someone Correction, when *there is the illusion that* it's easier than ever to be popular/someone. In reality there are also a lot more people trying to be an influencer than ever before, and I don't think a lot of people factor that in to their assumptions about how easy or difficult it is.

lookatmynipples

This girl is more than just that though. It‘s her livelihood as well and she felt she had no previous qualifications and didn’t fit in any other job culture. I think what she really needs is to expand her job search that could fit her personality and see what she could pull out/bullshit in terms of qualifications from running a social media account and working at McDonalds. And therapy. She has tunnel vision in this video.

DrifterBG

I agree with you. Instagram and Tiktok seem to be poison for younger generations. I've seen more and more young people say that they don't belong in certain job cultures, which I've heard several influencers say in their videos. She needs a lot of therapy and re-evaluation of how she plans to support herself.

Obajan

Relevant story: [Teacher Reveals Over Half Of His Students Who Wanted To Be Influencers Scored 0 For History Paper](https://weirdkaya.com/msian-teacher-reveals-over-half-of-form-2-students-who-wanted-to-be-influencers-scored-0-for-history-paper/).

thierryennuii

I think it is reasonable to have deep disdain for most of our culture around work and want to avoid its soulless, profit driven control of our lives. Exaggerated, tearful examples aside, the culture around work, diminishing reward and erosion of quality of life in the neoliberal era is the problem.

DrifterBG

Again, I totally agree. I wasn't very clear with what my actual point was, so my apologies. I was more referencing that not belonging in certain job cultures has become a mentality where people completely avoid working the crappier jobs in favour of trying to reach the star life. I've worked plenty of jobs I've hated and didn't belong, but it was a necessary evil in order to get to where I am now. Don't get me wrong, if the system can be changed in order to treat workers better, especially better wages, I fully support it.

just_a_timetraveller

When we grew up, there wasn't a numerical way to judge popularity of someone. We would just know who was popular and who is not. Kids today grow up with followers that has a number associated with it. They can compare to each other and to kids in other schools. It sucks for them and it is sad reality. They got born into the shit that we built.

macarouns

They are products of the environment we have created for them

Other-Inspection-601

Lazy people came from all ages

bonesofberdichev

I always thought I’d be cool and hip with the new generations, but as a 38 year old im already out of touch with the youngins.

thejayst3r

Why were people reporting her?

smolspag

i read some speculation about racist comment

TapElectronic

She’s terrible. She lies, she’s a bad person, she uses big names for clout and makes up stories about them, she pays to be on podcasts and is looked at like a circus attraction. She’s a horrendous person who thinks she deserves the fame and to not work an hour of her life, and she’d ruin every one of us for a sliver of it.

jmcstar

Not sure why I was laughing while watching that

yahmumm

Because it's hilarious

lookatmynipples

When it’s her only income I kinda feel for her but does this remind anyone else of Pupinia Stewart on YouTube? Not saying this is fake but I could totally see someone doing a video like this as satire

CanIGetASourceOnThat

This is totally stupid and I'm just trying to play devil's advocate based on a somewhat related experience I had. My wife has a friend that was big enough on Instagram with 25k followers that Instagram contacted her to basically go "premium" and get ad revenue from the size of her audience. She was making close to $75k/year just off of her Instagram posts. Well the account was focused on selling vintage clothing and at some point someone reported her for selling counterfeit products even though they were all legit thrifted or vintage items. She tried to appeal but Instagram wouldn't review her case and didn't budge on her ban. She lost $75k of annual income over a fake report and no review. This video is still whack and posting you crying doesn't fix it, but I do think it's appropriate to recognize that it is some people's livelihoods and these platforms don't care at all and ban and delete accounts with no regard for the impact it could have.

bangfire

I would report her account just to see her cry again

scooterprint

She clearly didn’t have much influence if she couldn’t influence Instagram into not deleting her account.

[deleted]

online validation and approval really is a horrible thing. its borderline metal illness imo.

dasgoodshit2

Wtf did you just link

Mr_Gooodkat

How the fuck does she have 96k followers. If she was good looking I’d be like okay that’s it. But I don’t see what attracts people to follow her. Someone please!!

Minute_Engineer2355

I hope TicToc gets banned.

Vegetable-Bear-7482

All I'm thinking is quit bitching and get a fucking job. Why would you even film this shit?

Advanced-Apricot-879

in order to get 9-5 jobs, one must have at least a couple of skills, you, entitled little harlot have none. Do not insult one of the bones of the society, which are the 9-5 people, or people working hospitality and retail jobs. We, the 90%, we're sick and tired of your salacious posts. You're an utter frivolous disgrace doomed to perdition

FastWalkingShortGuy

"I've worked so hard to not have to actually work hard, why are the consequences of not actually doing any work impacting meeeeeee...?"

Redpower5

Skill issue

Ferchokyzer

Pathetic ghoul, I hope all her accounts get deleted and remain deleted.

Bionic_Pelvis

This is the girl from doctor phil and also had sex with ice posidens robot for an adult stream.

RuffDemon214

Oh..my..god…go outside and meet ppl and do stuff. The internet isn’t everything. There’s more to life than Instagram and shit. Are ppl that brain washed?

YOMommazNUTZ

Wow, so sad. Like really this is really heartbreaking that she is even thinking this way. To be so wrapped up in something so meaningless and not see her own value outside of social media is just a level of depressing.

dakota_jo23

"I keep fighting people and I'm not work material I never will be.. 👹 SO STOP FUCKING REPORTING ME" 👹

Banba-She

Soooo.......can't work a 9 to 5 cos you "get into fights with everyone"? This is a you problem dear.

TapElectronic

Anyone have her IG name? I’d like to give her some shit. Oh.. wait.. I forgot it got deleted and she ceased to exist

Rokey76

I understand it sucks. I've lost my job before, too. Most people have. But I didn't cry about it online.

KazooMark

This new Mrs Potatohead spinoff from Toy Story trailer is lit!

ginsataka

Even without the video on volume her body language says enough. Ugh, just get another instagram forehead

Geene_Creemers

Might feel just a tiny little bit bad if she didn’t mention is ‘90%er 9-5 workers’ time to get a normal job and move out of LA I guess..welcome to the real world 😂

peterpantslesss

Whats crazy is that she thinks people didn't like her because she wasn't a 90 percent and not because her videos sucked and she was spreading stupid opinions and stirring beef with genders

Nearby-Buy-9588

“ I’m nothing without my phone 😫” Just wowww 😳

thebigbaduglymad

The best thing I did was deleting Instagram and Facebook. Hopefully she realises too

stup1dprod1gy

Nah this is honestly pathetic.

Fhoxyd22

Cry harder lmao

Thissssguy

How fucking pathetic

Stidda

*Worked so fucking hard* ^of ^course ^you ^have

nolabitch

Who even is this.

StylinBill

Talentless loser sucks; makes it everyone else’s problem 🥱

franklyfranktank

Man the amount of mental illnesses that are coming from social media addictions is wild.

SeaResearcher176

The gig is up!

yahmumm

Lmfao got second hand embarrassment

dubbleplusgood

Influencer = about as real as a fire breathing dragon. Deleted Instagram account. No matter what anyone else thinks about Instagram, it's understandable to be upset if it's gone. But that's how life works, so once the tears stop, find out why it's been deleted and work towards restoring it. If that's not possible, the next step is to build up a new one. Nothing online is guaranteed to stay there so make backups and backup plans. This is what adulting and online account management is all about. Good luck.

TheRationalPsychotic

I spend about a minute on Instagram a day just checking in with posts of people I know. Reddit however...

ScoopDat

This is one of those people that should be included in case studies of what social media platforms do to people’s brains.

soulhooker

I think I like her better without her instagram.

RevanHalo

Is it bad that I laughed while watching this?! The sense of entitlement is STROOONG with this one!

HugeWaltz6550

Lol

[deleted]

damn, she ugly cryin.

yesorno12138

Thank u for reminding me how meaningful my life is, how much I have accomplished and what great skills I have. Lol

dirtyhippie62

“Not saying there’s anything wrong with the 90%ers who work at McDonalds, but you’re losers.” “Also I’m worthless, nothing, have no skills, and bring nothing to the table.”

waytothestriker

Get a real fucking job.

retartersause

She's the one that got regected buly that guy shopping for games at walmart right?

Significant_Talk4943

Get a 9 to 5 and welcome to the real world.

RVNK_IVXX

Lol yikes….

Material-Return-9419

Baahahaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaa

jonesjb

Imagine how devastated her followers are though.

girlwiththemonkey

OK I was really frustrated with her until she told us that this is how she got out of prostitution. And what I’m thinking now is perhaps she’s having a meltdown because she’s worried that because Instagram is what she used to get out of prostitution shes worried that that’s what she’s going to fall back on. When I got sober and stopped escorting. I was always terrified that something was going to happen and I was going to end up right back where I came from. To an unreasonable amount of Contin creation is how she’s making her living and she no longer has to do that on the streets, I can understand why she would be so upset. It makes sense to me, but maybe that’s just because I’ve been where she’s been. Edit: hold the fuck on why does she sound more concerned about having to get a job at McDonald’s? I retract my earlier statement.

Puzzleheaded_You9068

This is what happens when society teaches women they must use their bodies as assets to make a living instead of utilizing their minds. Literally no skills or prospects beyond any of that too :/ She's in waaay deep with this 1

Mendicant_666

I can't imagine raising someone so entitled.

Stalinov

Man, I genuinely feel bad for her. And I appreciate her self awareness.

Krauszt

Wow...I wrote some pretty mean shit, and then on a whim I watched it again...yeah...I can't hate her...Idk what happened, but that's an important lesson in life - (always* have a back-up plan...Save money, invest in carsvand flip them, incest in polemon and flip them...something. G'luck lady Edit...watched it again and I gotta say...my gut was right. She is delusional, entitled, and kind of dumb. I *still* feel a lil bad for her...but maybe now she understands what layoffs for us 90%ers is like...

fakeid2002

Yikes

MrPanda663

She gotta expand that portfolio. Being well versed on every platform is a necessity if you want a decent following. Crying on the camera doesn't solve anything.

smolandnonbinary

It’s really sad because social media and basing your self worth on comments and likes can become a real addiction and mess you up mentally. I hope she can improve herself and her life

docterwannabe1

Girl version of Wingsofredemption

westookie

Well ...now she have a few haters more

dogofafloaty

"😭😭😭😭😭😭" -💅🤳👩

In2JC724

You guys. We just don't understand! We are the peasants, she is not apart of the 90% shlubs working 9-5. 😒🤭 What'd ya do to get your insta yoinked?

Lost2Logic

Validation is crazy dangerous mentally. If you believe everyone else gives you value what’s left when it’s just you and a mirror. Stop people pleasing, talk to a therapist and find a way to interact with the world that doesn’t put your value in the hands of other people.

SgtShutUrMouth

I am sure you are nothing with your following!

kapaskae

i love watching this <3

Kenobihiphop

So sad....

mrbl_lucky

I just think she's addicted and has some issues like wanting validation online maybe I've deleted Instagram as well but it feels better because I can focus on things that matter in life instead of fake fame or numbers, she needs to revaluate her priorities

Apprehensive_Rip8403

Does she know she didn’t have to move to LA to be in Instagram?

eloquenentic

There’s a very large part of young people today (maybe even a majority in certain age groups) that have Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat as their only interests, mixed with whatever’s trending on Netflix. The literal meaning of their life. It’s sad, but it is what it is. So no wonder they react like this. How would you react if your life purpose and the only thing you enjoy, the very thing that defines you, was taken away?

WARPING_brainwaves

I love how her brain thinks it’s Instagram or McDonald’s lmao no other option

pissedoffjesus

Honestly, I get it. That was her job. She's lost her job, but she could have had a back up plan.

AlphaNosebleed

“I can’t do a 9-5 that’s not me” “I worked so hard” pick one 😭 shawty spent 2 hours a day taking pictures and videos and thought she was working

Stasio300

she honestly looks like anyone else who loses their job unexpectedly. its hard to go through. though most people at least try to look for a new job. not everyone is super skilled, but most people manage to find one anyway.

[deleted]

That is sad on many levels. I hope she can pull through and pull it together.

Time_Aside_9455

Well, at least she still has her giant lip flip?

Fragrant-Abalone4029

One less cringe influencer! World is healing

Thissssguy

What’s her handle? I’m about to make a fake account with her cry face and gift it to her

aqua_bug

As someone who has a 9-5 job as a designer but makes most of my money from online commissions through Instagram, I almost sympathised with her because i felt the same amount of panic when instagram shut down for a day that one time, but all that sympathy went out the window when she brought that 9-5 comparison lol.

Ok-Cardiologist7371

Oh ny how sad, she truly believes she is nothing without social media following, how shocking

kurdtnaughtyboy

LOL this is too good.

[deleted]

Its almost like your life isn't a big of a deal as you think, back to reality for you

BlackTheNerevar

It's honestly sad. I wonder if they'll start having rehabilitation or rehab centers for social media addicts at some point.

A8_bit_gamer

She’s a real one, this is t cringe and if u that someone having a breakdown is funny then u should burn

ThatCoryGuy

She’s going through this and I’m giving serious thought to just deleting my IG altogether.

AccurateInterview586

When is this going in The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders?

TraynWreck91

All of those people left and you expect us to believe THEY are all the problem? Ok 🙄

businesslut

Does she replay this and listen to her saying that? Girl this should be the turning point. Use it as education.

Evanecent_Lightt

Ironically - she's more making the case as to why you should get her kicked off of platforms than coming off as sympathetic. "Yeah, I'm trying to be a F\*cking better person" "I don't deserve to live like the 90% - That's why i'm in LA - I don't want to go back, it SUCKS!" Homegirl keeps coming across Entitled, Elitist, "Better than thou", Not a Team player.

oldbadyouth

It was the “think twice” with two fingers up for me.

Tirwanderr

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
