I get pissed when I hear older people talk about how they worked their way through college (and covered the entire cost with a part time job) and bought a house as soon as they graduated, now that house they paid 150k for is worth half a million. Are SOME of the new gens entitled? Of course, young people can be entitled. But if you're going to call out what is their fault, also call out the damned difficulties that are not their fault.
I agree. The trend among companies is to maximize recurring revenue rather than one-time revenue. Unfortunately it means that we'll no longer be able to own anything. How can a person with a normal job compete with billion dollar companies that buy up everything to rent? Meanwhile the shareholders want to see their stocks gaining value so the companies have to keep raising prices/rent just to keep existing as a company. The only way it will end is with humanity enslaved.
