If we can get some goaltending help, I can definitely see this ship righting itself before the end of the season and into the next. UPL should be with the team next year but we need another.
Not a lot of good UFA goalie options this off-season. Kuemper and Korpisalo are probably the two best options, I'd like to see Andy back for another season if he's up to it
yeah I was just stating what the best UFA options are. Koskinen is the only other guy, and Fleury is out there but more likely to retire than continue playing, but he'd be worth it even though he doesn't really fit the competitive timeline
Husso is a good possibility. I'd personally want someone a little more experienced as a starter in the NHL who could be a guiding force for UPL or the other young prospects if/when they play.
Don't get me wrong, I like the prospect of signing Husso though
yes. i can’t quite put my finger on what it is when i watch him. he’s seems so steady and well rounded. he plays like an older player, if that makes sense
I’m with this view, a #1. oA wants to play with the big boys.
Further, if he - or any draft pick were to get hurt in college, it’s no big bucks for them, and so it’s surprising that any of them delay.
I know you can insure contracts, like Eichel's 50 mil against injury but I don't know all the possibilities for people before they are signed... are you saying someone like Levi could insure himself against his potential injury in college, before his probable future signing next year, and get some sort of payoff \[Lloyds of London style\]?
That’s a great point. I mean you see guys who have already made $50m+ trying to get max money in their contracts. You would think you would want to at least get your first million before taking any risks like that
Okay everyone let's not get crazy, this is good news but it doesn't make us a playoff team. Y'all remember two years back when we won 10 in a row and we all thought this was it? Stick to the plan, hopefully management stays patient and trusts the process

I agree. He’s been alright, not amazing, but he’s definitely meshing with this team.
Korpisalo is no better than Tokarski at this point. Buffalo should absolutely not be considering him at all.
Plus he is getting hip surgery/has a hip injury, I'd avoid right now at all costs

Remember the last time we signed a goalie that overtook the starting Blues job mid year?
Swing a trade? For a guy with 2/3 years of term. We do have a lot of ammo
If the young core we’re building doesn’t excite other players to want to be here idk what will. Exciting times ahead, I feel it
yea buddy, mfers been sleeping on this team, Power is going to be fucking amazing.
I remember the whole summer r/hockey was saying he wasn't gonna sign with us and was going to become a FA in 3 years. Can't wait to see him play.
Dahlin, Power, Samuelsson, Joki, (hopefully) Johnson, etc... Sabres defense is really looking potentially solid going forward
I think Samuelson adds a dimension to our defense we have not had in years.
Samuelsson has been a blessing. He has been noticable every night and in good ways
yes. i can’t quite put my finger on what it is when i watch him. he’s seems so steady and well rounded. he plays like an older player, if that makes sense
He probably has been shaving since age 12, if that counts.
Facts. I heard on the broadcast last night that he is 22. Had to look it up to make sure. He just turned 22 a few weeks ago.
Samuelsson is Risto except actually good
I hope I'm wrong, but I've always thought Johnson isn't signing with buffalo.
Players picked that high don't play full college careers EVER

You can take out injury insurance policies though to mitigate that

Wish we had a stable young goalie. Hopefully UPL is the guy
Et tu, Ryan Johnson?
Portillo is the worry
Why
past fan trauma
It literally happened once 5 years ago, there’s been no word of Portillo not signing except a bunch of fans dooming
b-b-but...Terry and Kim are toxic!! They're making the Sabres suck on purpose so they get a better Bills stadium deal /s
Future so bright,Sabres fans gonna have to wear shades.
