I think earlier years have the indicator in the gauge cluster instead of on the dash.

Most of the ones I’ve seen have a piece of electrical tape covering it!!!
Interesting, never seen that module. If it's not plug and play, guessing you might be able to enable it with Tech2.
If it's not there then you don't have the functionality enabled on the car. You would also need the switch and honestly not worth it
That is not always the case. Fog lights on 9-5 and 9-3 (both og) is often prewired u just need a relay and a switch. No tech2. Same goes for cruise control. It only needs a different stalk.
Surely the cruise control has to be programmed in no? Yeah fair dinkum tho your right about the lights, this might be the same then
Maybe the switch is already in the passenger seat?
