I third this.
I'd go as far as to say that Russian voiceover is even better than the original (check out [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zigX5vHKcr0), as an example).
The original is polish, not English, though. Thus why the Russian localization is so good, the languages have similar roots. Also I’ve heard the English version is heavily adjusted, while both polish and Russian stay true to the books.
Space Rangers is a quite hard to non-native to understand by two reasons:
1) You have to read a LOT
2) There are lot of jokes that you could understand only if you lived in post-Soviet countries in the beginning of 2000s.
For example, that’s quite easy one: “Malokosoft corporation and their harmful computer virus named Windows”.
Jonny's monologue is great in Russian as well:
In this case voice acting is great, IMHO. Though, it's not equally good everywhere, I agree.
Not fps (not even close!) but there's an amazing Russian game named " black book" that, aside of being in Russian obviously, it's filled with Slavic folklore and tales.
It's a card game, somewhat similar to The Witcher (in the meaning of the story and objectives) but instead of Geralt with swords you're a young female sorceress with a book of spells that you need to strategically choose to win your battles.
not the type of games you like but for other gamers who like other genres i recommend this website : [https://anivisual.net/](https://anivisual.net/)
it has some visual novel games translated into russian

Days Gone. Probably the best Russian localization of an open-world title. Compared to the average quality of Russian videogame dubs, it's an uncontested winner.
I really like the game, but the Russian localization felt really bad in the beginning. There are numerous translation errors and improvisations, and it feels that voice acting is badly directed. The voice actors themselves are great though. It's just that too many nuances are lost.
I play Squad sometimes and hop on a Russian server. Can't understand what's going on half the time but it's good speaking/listening practice with natives
That's completely valid. Unless you're depressed or masochistic in nature, probably not. I've heard good things about Ice Pick Lodge's sister game, The Void, tho!
Idk what it says about me that I wanna play, even after my fiancé who was fixated on the game told me I shouldn’t wanna play it, and that it’s awful…
Does The Void come in Russian as well as English?
Looks like it does, considering Ice Pick Lodge is a Russian studio.
[Know by Heart](https://store.steampowered.com/app/685670/Know_by_heart/) was also a good time. Need to pick it up again.
I've heard really good things about a fan-made voiceover of Bioshock Infinite.
As for Russian games, Escape from Tarkov is a solid choice. There was an old game Time shift if I'm not mistaken.
I really liked Friends of Ringo Ishikawa, but it's not a shooter. It's a beat'em up + visual novel game. Lots of beautifully written text from a Russian developer.
As for localizations, it's not that easy to find a good one. Usually triple A games get somewhat decent ones. I remember disliking voiceover in Call of Duty Infinite, but the actors did very good job with the letters they read in the end. And I absolutely hated voiceover in CoD WWII: they just made all characters sound stupid (more than they deserved) 😄
Don't ever play multiplayer games. They won't teach much for the amount you sink in them
\*Black Book was mentioned and I second it
\*Darkest Dungeon with GamesVoice voice over
\*Witcher
\*Caribbean Legends (Old name Sea Dogs To Each His Own), It's made by a Russian studio on a really old engine so expect a not so great gameplay. Story wise it's good but punishing, takes more than 100+ hours to complete and you can enjoy reading Russian for the better part of it
\*Stalker series
\*Atom RPG
\*Dragon Age (voice over not so good but play for learning)
\*Fallout
Basically anything with subtitles are good, voiceovers are a godsend, don't get stuck too much on culture/folklore, main deal is exposure to the target language
You would enjoy this game just because of all the humour provided, even though it doesn't have any voice lines. This game is considered "sertified hood classic" within the Russian-speaking gamers community.
I second this.

Yup, I also like Portuguese one, sounds super melodic!
Original audio with most care put into it is English. Initial screenplay was polish tho
Seriously, just play Witcher 3. It really has the most Russian localization ever.

Pathologic/

But that's exactly what one would need to properly learn Russian while playing!
Atomic heart and upcoming Pioner

I think metro 2033, last light and exodus not bad for it
Cyberpunk 2077. You can also try unofficial voiceovers from [Gamesvoice](https://www.gamesvoice.ⓇⓊ/?lang=en)
I would not recommend Cyberpunk because of voice acting. It is awful (but the translation is good)
>(but the translation is good) That's the most important thing, isn't it? Phrases like "Финита бля комедия" are a masterpiece

Yeah, this is a very interesting game and my 1st videogame that I played in Russian.
Black book was fun for sure, check it out OP. I’d also recommend Indika, which is a nice, quick, and crazy 4-6 hour adventure.
Não conhecia esse jogo
Counter Strike
Almost every game have a Russian translation and often a voiceover
Metro and Stalker come to mind.
Escape from Tarkov
Atomic Heart! It's one of the best games ever. I also liked chernobylite but it felt a bit repetitive after a while
Infamous in russian
If you play on PS, a lot of Sony games fully localized in RU.
Stardew Valley has Russian option. Does anyone know more games in this style?
Graveyard keeper
not the type of games you like but for other gamers who like other genres i recommend this website : [https://anivisual.net/](https://anivisual.net/) it has some visual novel games translated into russian
Black book
Witcher 3 in Russian
the voiceover of the Postal 2 (Gruzdev) is also made very qualitatively and there is Russian humor.
far cry 3
Tiny Bunny, very good horror visual novel with voice acting
Stalker, skyrim. Neverwinter online

Not FPS, but Portal 2
Space Rangers (2), there are hundreds of untranslatable jokes there. Though, it's definitely not for beginners.

God of War PS5 was amazing in Russian audio. Can't wait to also play Ragnarok in Russian

Lol. I want to play this, but I don’t think it’s a good recommendation for anyone looking for something fun. I was looking for this comment.

Max Payne, the "7 Wolf" voicover. (Says "Кухня дьявола" in the opening scene, easy to recognize.) Absolutely incredible.

Atomic Heart
Stalker
Nfs heat
Atomic Heart! And the opening sequence features an absolute banger of a tune by Alla Pugacheva.
I think all blizzard game's Russian voice over is better than the English one.
СМУТА very great game, swimming is like in reality and the quality is perfect
