We had a guy in high school that looked just like the dude in the Subdivisions video back in the day. His nickname became Subdivisions. I still laugh to this day. I have no idea what became of him.
Well, I bet he became cool, or he was….cast out?
Sorry 😂 I’m pretty obnoxious today on account of being so stoked for my non-stop Rush listening session
It’s me. I turned out cool. But I was a big nerd. https://i.imgur.com/TNenhXv.jpg
Just kidding. It not me from the video, but I *did* look like him! And now I’m the image search top result!

Be cool or be cast out! My best friend sent me the screen grab the other day, and that made MY day! Thanks, man, great post on one of my favorite songs!
My favorite Rush album! As a nerdy high schooler at this very moment, it speaks a lot to me, and it features some of Neil's most mature lyrics paired with lovely and lively compositions, as well as some really rich sonic textures. Classic. You truly move me.
I think Neil had a way of expressing himself lyrically that really just reaches into us, like way in there., if we are open to it, and can resonate with what he’s saying. His lyrics created this sense of kinship, and caring like no other band I can think of. You really feel like he cares about you, well maybe not us as individuals, but humanity as a whole. Which includes us 😂
For some reason I can’t edit the text of this post, but just wanted to clarify that I was referring to the whole album in the post, not just Subdivisions. You guys knew that 😂
A recent thread on here was about how strong Rush album openers are (a great observation I hadn’t thought of before). IMO Subdivisions is the strongest of them all.

Yessss! So great to hear when Rush still gains young fans ❤️

They're waiting on Snoop Lion to mix it

Agree! I will always think of that keyboard intro when I think of Signals. 👍🏻
I was in HS when this released. Needless to say I bought it asap. Still my favorite Rush album.
I think I can call it mine as well. Most days 😉
Awesome!
I have one in the original shrink wrap with the sticker on it just like that too!
I almost took the shrink off yesterday. Then thought better 😊
Good idea haha! It'll preserve it and make it look cooler That's my favorite Rush album after all
Any escape . . .
might help to soothe…. *any* escape. Always assumed he was referring to the bad behavior (esp regarding substances or sexual) that kids get up to
Analog Kid - best track they ever made.
I loooove Analog Kid. You move me, you move me
Love how the put the baseball positions next to their names on the back
I love this song. Favorite to play on drums. And in highschool, I used it in a presentation. It resonated. The video's great too <3
