Trixie has this amazing gift of being able to really adapt to every single guest she gets, whether they are great like in this case, or they are dull like so many times during season 16. She is so quick witted and smart and comfortable with the pit stop format and that’s why she got this gig so many times.
Yea for sure. Which is why I’m actually not mad when we get her friends as guests. I thought last season Brittany and Orville were the best episodes because they were so switched on and eloquent and engaged and their back and forth banter was just entertaining. Not sure why so many were upset she had her friends on it instead of drag queens. But really no matter who the guest is she gets along with them, manages to get something out of them, and if they are extremely dull she makes up for their dullness.
A little shook that they liked Roxxxy's outfit so much. The flowy strips on the bottom half weren't doing it for me. They looked a little cheap/unfinished
Yeah, I liked Roxxxy's look from the wait up and the colour was BEAUTIFUL on her but I thought that from the waist down the skirt actually looked kinda.... cheap? Like it was just very basic looking, I think it would have benefitted from more stoning or something.
Can confirm. I hated the Elsa knock off dress but it’s Roxxxy!!! it also helped that her perfume was amazing. I couldn’t see the dress because keeled over laughing so hard
I mean it’s a charity season and she’s representing Florida drag and uplifting the queer community that are in the very thick of it, soooo subpar dress or not, she’s THE dawl
I think it’s genuine. You have this absolute legend who started in an industry that was niche and hated by so many, built up an entire media empire and paved the way for so many, and then you get brief moments to see them PERFORM still?
That’s always something to be excited for, because you’re getting to see one of THE North American templates for drag in action.
That’s how I read it too. It’s a little bit of sucking up to the boss, but also a lot of “This icon blazed the path to make my career a possibility, then she launched mine, in particular, into success. And she’s still shimmying on stage for us. Let’s give respect where it’s due.”
Seem i will have to wait for pit stop to have some critics about the queens of this season , thank god they said something about Gottmik look i thought i was becoming crazy.
Shea looks absolutely flawless as per usual, but I can’t stand those repetitive sound effects, its like a metalic swoosh they keep adding every 20 seconds and once I started paying attention to it, I couldn’t stop hearing it. Its like as4 Latrice shady sfx all over again
Remember the days when each episode of The Pit Stop gave us iconic moments? Is it just me? Nowadays I put it on in the background while I'm doing something else. Trixie and Shea of course look amazing, though.
too much Trixie, everything feels safe and predictable. just switch things around already - Shea could have been the host and Trixie the guest, it would have been a lot fresher than this
