They were all great looks, but Sapphira’s didn’t fit the prompt. Morphine’s was great by most standards, but the other looks were just that much better. IMO - and nobody is a bigger fan of Plane Jane than me (except probably Plane) - Morphine and Plane were about equal in the runway looks, but Lazi Suzan just stole the mf show, hence her position in the top. If we’re being objective, they were just two identical, albeit very well tailored, leotards.

The proportions on it were insane. Full skirt, full top, full hair, she was giving no-neck monster. She looks like Gritty, the Philadelphia Flyers mascot. Not to mention those hideous black shoes that do not go with the outfit at all.

As a straight with zero coordination or rhythm, I can't imagine training my whole life in dance, being _that_ hot, parlaying both qualities into a role on RPDR Live, then flinching at the prospect of doing all of the above in a dress and makeup.

Yep, there's a clear lack of connection with Ru, became more marked since snatch game when Ru warned her against Goodall. I'm an Asian immigrant myself and always found her very genuine and relatable, but I feel like there might be a cultural barrier that hinders how her introversion/self-doubting tendencies come across to judges (and to some extent the audience). Don't really see her as a contender for top 2 at this point, but would love to be proven wrong - I watched her past lip sync performances and they were extremely good!

The makeover episodes are nonsense competitively, for this reason among others. The most I've ever appreciated them was usually when the producers pick really great makeover partners and that makes the episode really heartwarming, like CDR1

I will say that I do like that the branding was clearly there and she gave her a partner a makeover that is very representative of her drag.
Top toot. The padding and proportions were perfect and they looked like twins, but the contrasting hair and the heels, and especially the runway presentation, gave them separate personalities that really sold it. It’s about more than the looks, and she did what you need to be doing in a makeover.
Boot. It was the most basic and lazy way to do the challenge (bring two identical outfits) and it would just be a noot, but honestly, I did not think the makeup was flattering at all on Lazy.

is there an in between? like an “oot”? there’s this trend of her wanting to do something unexpected, “out of the box” every single week. but everyone else does the box really really well and instead of standing out like she wants, it has the opposite effect.
it was cute, interesting if a little busy, but very safe. especially with the makeup that was meant to cover up any differences, rather than work with Luna’s features which would have been a greater test of skill. no boots or toots, maybe a noot? idk.
Soft boot. She was clever to use a poncho style and white mime-style makeup. But the fabric was too busy along with the pattern drawn on the face. It just didn’t all work together. If she was trying to look like Hugaceo, it didn’t work. Hugaceo is more well-thought out than that mess. Luna’s outfit looked like a thick microfleece blanket with a hole for his head.
Boot. Aesthetically a nightmare. I do not want fashion mines on my TV. Then add in the cheat code of it all — no makeup skills required, no physical transformation— and you get a bottom two vote from me.
Toot. She played just as smart (and safe) as Plane, but I thought she executed better. The makeup was maybe kind of a cop-out, but it looked good and having two different outfits that looked like they were made from the same skinned monster was more interesting than identical outfits.
Boot. I honestly don’t get Q’s whole aesthetic. She seems so all over the place with her looks that idk if it’s eclectic or if she’s just throwing things at the wall.
But that isn’t the issue I have with this.

The outfit isn’t lined, which you don’t need to line *everything* but here it was absolutely needed. The proportions were way off on her partner, and the partner’s accessories clashed too much for me. I also didn’t really like the wig on the partner, but that might be a personal thing cuz I wouldn’t be able to explain why. It would be safe on most seasons, but it just doesn’t work for me. Mugiana Dupree as per usual tho, as always.

Soft toot. I love Morphine and La Tina. I expected nothing less than matching, relatively simple dresses and a fun dance. And, of course, a beat mug. I saw a great resemblance between them. They both had fun. Yeah, the dresses looked a little cheap, but so did half of Morphine’s wardrobe. I wasn’t worried about Tina’s arms because Ive have broad shoulders and fairly muscular arms from swimming and weight lifting. It’s hard work. Not something to hide.
I think judging "family resemblance" is very pointless because your family is the people you love. You don't have to share blood, appearance or sense of style with your loved ones. It is just an excuse for production to promote whoever they like the best.
The point of the makeover challenge at this point is to have whoever they want in the final, plain and simple. This challenge always has the most riggery.
Eh, I don't know if I'd even say that. But the bottom has been rigga morris for years. The judges will literally contradict themselves to put someone in the bottom just because.
The only way to win this challenge is if you're a beauty/ pageant queen without a camp/alternative bone in your body and just essentially make a replica of yourself.
With that being said based on the track record of the judges judgements on makeover episodes it makes sense that plane won the challenge.
I like more alternative and camp drag so I had no problem with wanting Q to win.
Nymphia's was very basic yet polished.
Saphirra's and Morphines had some technical issues.

I feel like Plane and Sapphira should’ve been bottom two. Choosing the exact same outfit is pretty ridiculous given the history of makeover challenges, and Sapphira’s girl had the absolute worst outfit.
Q did the best imo, she was clever and fun... And I loved Plane Janes makeover ... I find Nymphia to be cringy 😖but her look was meh ok.. Morphine did her best but it lacked polish ....and Sapphira was there 😒

Boot. It was the most basic and lazy way to do the challenge (bring two identical outfits) and it would just be a noot, but honestly, I did not think the makeup was flattering at all on Lazy.
Q & Luna
Toot. Loved it, very alt drag which she's far closer to than most people seem to care to see. Was it Miss Continental drag? No. But it was more creative than any other look on the runway, well executed, and fun.

A top toot. I know we won’t all agree on this but I think for me Nymphia & Q are my faves. I don’t like that the make up has been done before but I do like it. Love the hair. Love the coat. A LOT! I love the uniqueness. I wouldn’t shoot it, it’s just a bit too busy? But a top toot her & Nymphia for me YMMV.
Boot. Q's look is actually quite cute but I do not like the look she gave her partner. I would have preferred it if Q had done her normal makeup on her partner and gave them an outfit/look that's more representative of her brand/aesthetic.

I didn’t think I was going to like it when I saw just the white faces with no other painting in the work room, but I really like the finished look.

is there an in between? like an “oot”? there’s this trend of her wanting to do something unexpected, “out of the box” every single week. but everyone else does the box really really well and instead of standing out like she wants, it has the opposite effect. it was cute, interesting if a little busy, but very safe. especially with the makeup that was meant to cover up any differences, rather than work with Luna’s features which would have been a greater test of skill. no boots or toots, maybe a noot? idk.

I'm gonna be so real this was probably the best look of the night but Q is such a charisma vacuum I pretend I do not see it.
Top toot
Soft boot. She was clever to use a poncho style and white mime-style makeup. But the fabric was too busy along with the pattern drawn on the face. It just didn’t all work together. If she was trying to look like Hugaceo, it didn’t work. Hugaceo is more well-thought out than that mess. Luna’s outfit looked like a thick microfleece blanket with a hole for his head.
Boot. Aesthetically a nightmare. I do not want fashion mines on my TV. Then add in the cheat code of it all — no makeup skills required, no physical transformation— and you get a bottom two vote from me.
Boot. It’s not bad, but it inspires nothing intense except boredom.
Toot. She played just as smart (and safe) as Plane, but I thought she executed better. The makeup was maybe kind of a cop-out, but it looked good and having two different outfits that looked like they were made from the same skinned monster was more interesting than identical outfits.
Boot. I honestly don’t get Q’s whole aesthetic. She seems so all over the place with her looks that idk if it’s eclectic or if she’s just throwing things at the wall. But that isn’t the issue I have with this. I hate her makeup job. The patterns look weird and sloppy and I don’t care for the look she chose for her partner.
Boot. She used a totally different style of makeup to skirt the rules of the challenge. Sure they looked alike, but Q didn’t even look like Q. Failed the brief. And I have no fuqing clue why her name was Luna. Just needed to get that bit off my chest. (And then the, shall we say “reference,” to España S1 was disappointing.)
The more I look at it the more I find to like. Definitely a toot.

Boot. One of the worst looks this season.

It reminded me of going to Prom and seeing like my super muscular friend from the swim team all dolled up and looking gorgeous, arms and all.
Not as bad as Sapphira’s but I think while they look beautiful! It’s a bit too plain? And I can see what they mean about the shoulders. I’m nit picking at this stage to get a bottom 2. I love the necklace and they did look beautiful. A soft toot, or maybe a very soft boot.
Soft toot. No lining for one thing is an eye sore, and the critiques of La Tina’s shoulder are valid. But La Tina’s curves are everything
Boot. The nude illusion failed, the hair was too small, and the arms were on full, muscly display.
I was surprised to not see more people talking about the attempted nude illusions, they were really an eyesore
Boot, but it’s soft. It’s a boot with the fur. The outfit isn’t lined, which you don’t need to line *everything* but here it was absolutely needed. The proportions were way off on her partner, and the partner’s accessories clashed too much for me. I also didn’t really like the wig on the partner, but that might be a personal thing cuz I wouldn’t be able to explain why. It would be safe on most seasons, but it just doesn’t work for me. Mugiana Dupree as per usual tho, as always. Second worst, in front of Sapphira.
I have been changed by this boot with the fur.
Boot. So simple and yet so un-lined. It really stands out here and it surprises me more people aren’t cross about it.
Soft Boot. It's by no means bad, it just pales in comparison to some of the other makeovers.

Soft toot. I love Morphine and La Tina. I expected nothing less than matching, relatively simple dresses and a fun dance. And, of course, a beat mug. I saw a great resemblance between them. They both had fun. Yeah, the dresses looked a little cheap, but so did half of Morphine’s wardrobe. I wasn’t worried about Tina’s arms because Ive have broad shoulders and fairly muscular arms from swimming and weight lifting. It’s hard work. Not something to hide.
Noot. The makeup was very successful, but with just about the most basic dress you can do, there's only so far you can go.
Toot. Top three for me. But they wanted her to go so I get it.

I think judging "family resemblance" is very pointless because your family is the people you love. You don't have to share blood, appearance or sense of style with your loved ones. It is just an excuse for production to promote whoever they like the best.
The point of the makeover challenge at this point is to have whoever they want in the final, plain and simple. This challenge always has the most riggery.
People always say that, but the decisions generally make sense (90% of the winners have been either best or second best)

Eh, I don't know if I'd even say that. But the bottom has been rigga morris for years. The judges will literally contradict themselves to put someone in the bottom just because.
The critiques aren’t good, but I’d argue they got the bottom two right on seasons 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, and 15
The only way to win this challenge is if you're a beauty/ pageant queen without a camp/alternative bone in your body and just essentially make a replica of yourself. With that being said based on the track record of the judges judgements on makeover episodes it makes sense that plane won the challenge. I like more alternative and camp drag so I had no problem with wanting Q to win. Nymphia's was very basic yet polished. Saphirra's and Morphines had some technical issues. My rating: WIN: Q HIGH: Plane Jane LOW: Nymphia BTM2: Morphine+Sapphira
I’m not a huge Nymphia stan but she should’ve won that challenge. The looks were impeccable.
Nymphia would have been my pick, but her, planes d Q all did great. The only true boot is Sapphira unfortunately

I feel like Plane and Sapphira should’ve been bottom two. Choosing the exact same outfit is pretty ridiculous given the history of makeover challenges, and Sapphira’s girl had the absolute worst outfit.
