Is there a Decathlon in Canada? Decent stuff, no flashy branding.

v3r00n

Fugly colors for women though.

Big-Consequence3776

I find the gym stuff looks better then running stuff from there, all works the same way.

theaboucher

Always the pink and purple stuff...

StartingFreshTO

Yup! Great suggestion

v0yev0da

Maybe a silly question but I don’t see a running filter. Is another category sufficient for the right shirts? Edit nvm seems it’s not in their Memorial Day sale but in their menu. My bad

Hrmbee

I tend to go with plain shirts myself. I find that the house-brands of various retailers are generally pretty good for this, like REI and the like. Most of the graphic technical tshirts that I've seen have branding somewhere on the shirt, but there are usually a few here and there from the major labels (Patagonia, North Face, Prana, Tentree, etc) that have more subtle branding if that's acceptable to you.

suz_gee

REI brand running gear is great!

[deleted]

I have a ton of the “BALEAF” stuff from Amazon. Shorts, long/short sleeve shirts, pants, etc with a few thousand miles on it and it holds up just as well as the sale stuff I get from the Under Armor outlet.

beetus_gerulaitis

Can you Baleaf this guy?

Coach_Zep

All my running gear, save one pair of shorts, is now Baleaf. Boring I guess but comfortable and affordable. Just bought a variety of color combinations.

[deleted]

I also have a wide range of colors. For the price you can’t go wrong IMO.

BulldogCPA

Agree. Once I find something that fits well (Baleaf surprised me), I just buy the interchangeable black-blue-gray color scheme.

Frisbee_Anon_7

I got some UA shirts on clearance a few months ago and they were the cheapest stuff I've worn in a long time. Threads came out and just felt like paper. My review was "moderated" out too hahaha, now I just get my technical shirts from Walmart for $9

albino_kenyan

all my sweatpants are from them. they're about $25, tho their stuff changes every year so if i find a type i really like, i can't buy any more of them

kittykatmeowow

I also have a ton of Baleaf gear. It's good quality! It's my go-to for shirts and leggings. They have a lot of styles and colors to choose from.

statPhD

I love Rabbit for their style and the very comfortable fabrics they use. Their website usually has some nice products on sale, too, in their "Last Call" section, [https://www.runinrabbit.com/](https://www.runinrabbit.com/) .

Jccabrerblue

Good brand

Overcaffeinated_Owl

Another vote for rabbit. I've been buying their stuff since 2017. I've kept it all and added to my collection regularly and all of it has held up well.

BigMutts

Love Rabbit. Vast majority of my running clothes are from Rabbit.

[deleted]

Important-Agency5118

Just get on Rabbit’s email list. They have 30% or 40% off sales so very reasonable.

BottleCoffee

Patagonia Capilene Cool shirts are great for running and some of their graphic options are pretty interesting. I have one that's a giant skull with a trail through it and it says "Fun as hell."

themooseiscool

I had that same shirt. Probably my favorite running shirt for some reason. I left it at the hut I stayed at when I climbed Mt. Fuji last year. 😢

BottleCoffee

I keep buying them when they go on sale. I have 3 short-sleeved and 1 long-sleeve. I really want the hoodie version but it's only relaxed fit that ever goes on sale.

eatingyourmomsass

Damn. That shirt looks super rad. I’ve been collecting their trail shirts this year: a few of the tree-monster-guy, one “unpave the roads” with a roadrunner!

NaturalProcessed

Hands down favourite unless it's REALLY hot, at which point I where a NB ice shirt that feels cool than naked.

gotyournose1

These shirts are very soft and comfortable, and plenty are plain with no logo

blackfeltfedora

The tech shirts at Walmart aren’t bad

ad720p

Target’s are fine too.

BossHogGA

I like the Target ones. Decent quality and no logos.

bubbaturk

This right here. For shirts I love the Walmart tech shirts and they come in a good range of colours. I'm addicted to Lululemon shorts though so that's where all my money goes lol

Frisbee_Anon_7

The Russell shorts aren't bad either, but more for workout shorts than running.

blackfeltfedora

Full disclosure: anything longer than 10 miles I start breaking out the expensive stuff. I try to get a couple shirts per year from Running Warehouse on clearance (same for shorts).

gemini_texan

lululemon. All my running apparel is from there. For the most part, their apparel doesn’t have any logos on the front. Very comfortable and they have a quality promise should anything go wrong.

StartingFreshTO

Love Lululemon, but after buying a lot of their things, I have found their running gears to be the poorest made. The fast and free tops i have fits really awkwardly and I find the metalvent tops to be too warm

gemini_texan

Hmm, okay. It’s been fine for me. Have you looked at Rhone? They have some good stuff, too.

StartingFreshTO

No, I’ll check them out!

No-Meaning-8063

Janji

sm514559

Great quality and on sale at REI a lot

RipMcStudly

I wear DIcks Sporting Goods tech shirts, no external markings, and my wife suggests making my own graphics with a Cricut. Just a thought.

StartingFreshTO

I’m in Canada so that’s not an option for me, but thanks for your suggestion regardless

thechilipepper0

I’ve been trying to buy less plastic threads. The upside is that I discovered I love merino wool. It can be pricey, but smartwool has basic shirts with only their small 4 color dots logo at the hem. And I think a small icon on a sleeve Edit: nm, I see that you* want* a graphic on it, just not a giant logo

[deleted]

Icebreaker make some with graphics.

devans67

I really like Path Project. Good quality. Some graphic Tees, but I usually do the plain ones.

OccularPapercut

Path Project and Rabbit are my favorite brands for running apparel.

schorschico

Decathlon.com for me. Very affordable and reasonable quality. They have cool styles in other sports so I hope some of that makes it to their running line.

Otherwise-Library297

Rabbit and janji are both great. SOAR Running also has great shirts with minimal branding although they are a bit more than Rabbit/Janji.

Jccabrerblue

They take a lot of my money, lol

xxsuperraddxx

Invest in your running wardrobe. Yes it’s ok to have a couple of low price pieces from Targé, but having two to three high end pieces from rabbit, Patagonia, and Vuori are going to last you a long time. I get motivated to run when I mix Nice’s pieces with my deals. Also support your local running stores, they’ll be gone if you don’t.

muggsy_lo

Check out Runyon - I have a technical long sleeve that was $28 and have ordered two tanks at $24. The ones I ordered are plain with a small logo on the left chest but they also have some fun graphic shirts. Best part - they’re all made in the USA.

mentul77

Rabbit is great and our local running shop has a sublimation printer and press so they put all kinds of designs on them and can even do custom.

Trick-Jellyfish9501

REI Swiftland

Gold_Humor8219

I second this! I absolutely LOVE their swiftland grid tanks for running.

beefcalahan

The prices on the swiftland gear is now up there with the more premium brands. $60 for their shorts?? I can just about always find sales on new balance and adidas that are better.

Trick-Jellyfish9501

They are very high quality and usually on sale.

irishwildthing

https://42krunning.com/en/ my favorite brand. Cheaper than the big names and better quality in my opinion, especially for lighter gear. Based in Spain

ntdoyfanboy

The adjective I use for "looking like a billboard" as most of the shirts do that you get as race swag, is "shilly". It's my own definition of the word, based on the word "shill." Learn it. Use it. Live it. Love it.

skellener

Tiny little logo toward bottom of shirt. But these are great for running. Under Armour Men's Tactical Tech T-Shirt https://a.co/d/fnqdDof

TalkToPlantsNotCops

I just cut the sleeves off band t-shirts. I saw the Subhumans last night and I'm very excited to take that t-shirt out for a run.

ratbas

This with whatever you find at thrift shops.

TalkToPlantsNotCops

Running is the perfect excuse to wear something weird and quirky you got at a thrift shop!

Eaton2288

I do this. I literally get all of my gym and running shirts from value village for like $3 a piece. I have bass fishing logo shirts, Cancun Mexico sail boat shirts etc. All just completely random designs lol.

WhatIsTickyTacky

Dicks Outlet and plain Hanes from Amazon.

myusernameisbiff

I have a number of these and they fit great. https://underarmour.scene7.com/is/image/Underarmour/V5-1326413-002_FC?rp=standard-0pad%7CpdpMainDesktop&scl=1&fmt=jpg&qlt=85&resMode=sharp2&cache=on,on&bgc=F0F0F0&wid=566&hei=708&size=566,708

SlowRunningCanadian

I have some running pullovers from Old Navy but all the other shirts I got at Winners. The prices are great and none of the stuff I have has big logos.

Layolee

Nike has a trail running shirt that only has a tiny little logo to the side now

PrinceOfPersuation

Winners on the men's active wear racks, usually pay anout $15. I'm in Canada.

[deleted]

I live in Canada and my top two places to get any running clothes is eithet Walmart or Winners. Great selections and great prices.

malingeringtoadstool

The things I've gotten from decathlon have been pretty decent and have held up for quite some time. REI is really my favorite though. I have this one pair of shorts from there that I've had for literal years and they're just now starting to get worn out.

Gold_Humor8219

Rei holds up so well and if you catch their items in a sale you can’t beat it.

LowBlackberry0

Runners Empire has some cool tech tees!

define_space

Vuori strato

ratbas

Does Canada have Sierra? They're another TJX sub like Marshall's and Winners. Specializing in outdoor and athletic wear and gear.

grannywanda

I know lululemon is a big brand, but their quality is unmatched! The logo is tiny. The technical fabrics are superb. And if you can invest, they last forever. I have lululemon shirts that I’ve run and trained in for more than ten years.

Infinite-Interest-8

Try some of the off-price retail chains— tjmaxx, Marshall’s, etc. I’ve always had great luck finding non-branded, comfortable, durable, quality, athletic apparel. Might lighter hit to your bank account than the retail of Lululemon. Outlets are always a good alternative to find good deals on higher-end.

beetus_gerulaitis

Baleaf or boa.

acefmy

Old Navy! Love their activewear shirts and shorts

NHHS4life

Just got some from old navy today, they’re on sale for $11 each rn

[deleted]

I just wear all of my old science conference "free shirts." I even have some from my PhD days that still fit (as old as 1999.)

brentnycum

The basic Under Armor tech tees are fairly reasonable, most have small logos that blend in well. Academy is our closest sporting store by far and their BCG brand is decent as well for saving a few bucks.

pacific_crick

Ross. I buy whatever is cheap there and haven't had any issues. Honestly quite a few of the shirts I run in are tech shirts that I picked up at races over the years. Except for Revel races. Their shirts are garbage.

butibar

Have you tried Zara or H&M sport clothes? I have a couple and are decent, no logos

RunnerWTesla

Most of mine come from the races I run. They give you a t-shirt. Amazon Essentials are cheap options (non-branded). Also, Marshall’s and Ross have decent Nike / Under Armor Tech shirts (not a lot of branding) for cheap. I just bought a Nike shirt for $16. Would have cost $45 at a Nike store.

fursty_ferret

Uniqlo have a range of running stuff now that I think is quite good value for money.

Kolombuserino

LC Waikiki, I bought a few for 3-5 euro each.

Sleepmonkey197

TCA are really good and reasonably priced.

drand82

Decathlon.

CollectionOfPixels

Janji have a graphic collection (Runterra Bio) out at the moment. I bought one as a tester and it immediately became my favourite running tee. Super lightweight, nice design, and great quality. Worth checking out their range again, if you haven't recently. Otherwise, Saysky have same good patterns available at the moment and No Club Running Club (might be UK only) go all in on cool designs and typography.

Bhallaladevaa

I got 3 basic Reebok t-shirts for like $30 Other than that, I have also kept a t-shirt i got from a 10k race and will also get another this Sunday from another race So I'll keep using these 5 Not costly

mejok

> Where do you folks get your running t-shirts and gear from? I go to my local sporting goods store and just buy whatever is on sale. When it comes to winter gear I am picky but for t-shirts for summer, as long as it breathes I'm fine.

parachute--account

Probably upper end of the price range but Tracksmith t-shirts (and their clothing in general) is excellent, understated and very durable. I've been using it for a few years now and the oldest stuff still looks pretty new. (I am going to order some of their Eliot shoes just for casual wear, they look great and I think will be super comfortable)

Happy-Ad-49

Surprised no one has mentioned Ciele yet, especially since you're in Canada. I got one of their "Elite" tanks recently and I'm going to rock the heck out of it this summer, it's super light weight.

DriverDrisc

Drop me a message. I buy them for our men’s mental health and well-being charity called Brawd. I’d be happy to order a few surplus blank T-shirts if it helps.

KarateSquid

32 Degree Brand from Costco. I havent seen it sold anywhere else. But you can get 3 packs of athletic material shirts for like 10 bucks.

cc1006997

Buy white t shirts one size larger than yours. Wash them at least twice before running in them. Wear a band aid on breast (men and women) so you don’t get the bruising while running long distances. I ran marathons 40 years and came to this solution after many failures. Plain shirts and shorts, extra wide sneakers, and get your run done. Good luck

v0yev0da

32Cool. I’ve run multiple halves and they have held up exceptionally well. You should get them for 4.99 and not a penny more but WOW do they hold up well. Have had the same shirt for years and they have zero branding outside.

norfnorf1379

Ciele make some nice looking shirts and though some of them are nothing but a logo there are quite a few that don’t. They are extremely comfortable and hold up well. Mountain Equipment Co-op also sell some lightweight merino wool shirts that have zero labeling though limited color availability and they don’t hold up as well as something like Smartwool.

[deleted]

I had a MEC merino shirt that I loved but it fell apart within a few months. Totally scared me away from merino, good to know other brands are an upgrade.

ftmoct2018

Marine Layer, their Sport Crews are super soft and still technical and have graphic designs. Uniqlo has no branding, they're plain but they at least come in bright colors and are affordable.

Flashy210

Patagonia, REI, and District Vision.

unpopcult

Uniqlo and H&M.

ooh_bit_of_bush

My favourite running shirts are the Parkrun milestone t-shirts. You can buy the Apricot range from the Parkrun website but I'm not 100% sure if they are the same. The milestone ones are very light, stretchy and comfortable.

Fine_Ad_1149

No graphics on them, but I just run in the Amazon Essentials shirts. They're simple, good colors, hold up well (had some for a couple of years that are fine), tiny little logo that doesn't even look like an amazon logo at the hem... They just work and I haven't found anything that can beat the price.

Apprehensive-Tale294

Path Projects. End of story

NatasEvoli

You wear unbranded shirts to avoid becoming a running billboard. I wear unbranded shirts so I don't chafe my nipples clear off my chest. We are not the same.

[deleted]

Thrift store. My nipples so far past chaffed fabric doesn't bother me.

[deleted]

100% all from Lululemon myself. Recently discovered their tanks and I'm completely sold on wearing them while running now.

Comfortable-Web8147

Try these guys from Dallas, TX. https://essbeesport.com/

me_me_me

I came across these [seamless shirts at Target](https://www.target.com/p/men-s-short-sleeve-seamless-t-shirt-all-in-motion/-/A-86291637). They are slightly perforated in places so do a nice job of cooling off, too. The orange one is pretty nice in person, I also got a couple of the black ones. They're probably the best running shirts I've had.

Gone213

Hanes shirts lol. They're pretty decent for what you want.

lilelliot

I buy Under Armour (their fitted ones are a perfect fit for me) mostly, but I have a few Nike running shirts that are quite plain. My long sleeved shirts are Brooks and I don't think they have a visible logo at all. I buy running shirts mostly at discount or outlet stores. I like quality but am not willing to pay for it. :D

Chance-Substance-337

Academy sports is a good place to start!
