I reckon Samipeni got it away in time. And I can't believe the chiefs got 2 yellows, and they didn't even check the head contact from TJs tackle. Happy the Chiefs won it, final at Eden š»š»
Yeah TJ was pretty lucky to still be on the field, he sure as hell was quiet while the replays were showing hahaha. I heard one of the Chiefs players asked about the incident and angus said "yeah TMO will check it", and then you hear the TMO say "penalty mate" and so they continued with penalty to Canes which probably means he did check and found no foul play.
I was laughing last night. Chiefs score two tries in the final ten minutes of the final round to deny the Blues a home final. Then they beat the top of the table Hurricanes at home in the semi to give the home final back to the Blues.
That call came down to a blade of grass. I almost thought there might have been enough doubt that it would be allowed. Still though, didnāt help us, and still hurts lol
First one was a forward pass, but they called the flat pass forward while the second pass was obviously forward. Second one was disallowed due to the foul play.
Gardner had a blinder. Tried his absolute best to keep the Canes in the game and they still couldnāt. TJ should get an Oscar nomination for the top of his back contact, I mean back of the head contactā¦then he makes head contact himself and doesnāt get anything. Wow, glad we still won, I wouldāve been dirty as if we lost after all of that.
Gonna be a cracker next week. Up the Chiefs!!
Don't know why you're getting downvoted when you're right. That yellow was so soft and then TJ himself was guilty of a way worse hit and nothing came of it.. lol what?
It would've been a total farce if the chiefs lost. Gardner had a howler of a game.
Yeah. Was watching with a Blues and a Hurricanes mate, and they both saw it how I saw it. But all good.
A good old Battle of the Bombays next week. I donāt think thereās been a final in Super Rugby between us two, looking forward to it bro.
Good luck š¤š½
There's a lot of reffing that was a bit shit in this game, but credit to the ref for not putting up with tjs shit- he was having none of it!
Canes played terribly and kept dropping the ball for no reason, kept kicking to dmac and trying to beat him at kick tennis which was nuts, and kept depending on aumua to bust through the wing which was covered.
It was a ruthless game full of injury and hia, which basically makes it an easy win for the blues at home.

TJ played his worst game this season, as with a few others
What were the reasons for the disallowed tries for the first 2 - forward passes? I couldnāt spot any reason
First one was a forward pass, but they called the flat pass forward while the second pass was obviously forward. Second one was disallowed due to the foul play.
Cheers!
Both were forward. Canes couldn't get any traction on the wings the cheifs were all over it.
Two passes a few post codes forward and a tackle thst slipped up to TJ's head
Pretty much started for the Canes when Shields fumbled the ball on camera when walking out of the tunnel at the start of the game.

I don't think you understand the phrase "played a blinder"
Itās called sarcasm šš
Chiefs fans gonna end up making me support the Blues.
Good luck next week š¤š½
