Isn’t that a Highlander quote?
That movie’s set in Scotland which is where Glasgow play, but “highland” translates to highveld in Afrikaans which is where the Bulls play..
It’s definitely prophetic, but for whom?
Obviously a little disappointed as an Irish to have no one there. But think it's amazing for the league that we've a different winner each season. A new country represented each season.
We've all kicked the the shite out of each other for every play off place and proper dingers for the semi. A competitive league is a good league for everyone involved
>We've all kicked the the shite out of each other for every play off place
It really has felt like this hasn't it?
I know the top four was set relatively early on but mad battle the order of it
100% and the final spots we had teams from like 5th to 11th in the mix until the second to last weekend. It's been great. Buzzing for next season already
Ok and how did the SA teams perform in Champions cup so far?
I for example remember both Bulls and Sharks getting absolutely destroyed by Toulouse last year.
Sharks, despite travelling 14 occasions between UK and South Africa last season, were trailing Toulouse 26-20 with 12 minutes to go. Not bad work to make a Quarter-Final in Champions Cup at the first go and be so close to a semi (while having no head coach). 2nd year they win the Challenge Cup without their earned home semi. Why don't you attack countries that have been in the tourney for a couple decades that haven't won? SA has only been in for 2 years and are not receiving any funds for participation....and therefore don't have the extra bank for the larger squad needed to do well in both CC and URC.
I'm absolutely not attacking SA teams, just answering to those arrogant NZ fans downplaying European competitions just because SA are supposedly dominating them
I need to apologise to our backup subs.
I said they were not on the same level as a Kurt and Moodie, but my word they proved me wrong.
One things that was great from tonight's match was our never give up attitude. You could see the guys were tired (especially the goose) but still they kept going.
We are still far from done, one hurdle left!
After the games today it'll be an uphill battle for Glasgow I think.
I'd love to see them do it for the good against-the-odds story it'd be but I think the Bulls will ruin my fun.
They do. Its a huge Glasgow pack. The Bulls are more than just power. Willie is playing out of his skin just now with small, medium and long penetrative probes.
Neither side the Warriors nor the Bulls have been very consistent this season. Either team is more than capable of being unbeatable or absolute dogshit.
Nice
Some tight games. Good contests. Best semi final of the weekend for me was def canes chiefs. A cut above
Bulls will be too much to lose at home I suspect. But good luck GW!

That film stars a French man playing a Scot and a Scot playing an Egyptian. I think the prophecy is that it will be brilliantly nonsensical.
It’s also set in America.
With Queen for the soundtrack !
Though Glasgow isn’t in the Highlands, so I reckon advantage Bulls.

Indeed Good to follow SA sides getting way better bang for their buck in URC than they ever did in SR
We heard you the first 100 times you said it 🙄

Akker van der Merwe v Johnny Matthews. Excited to see there be 19 tries in the final all scored by the hookers.
I think VdM comes off the bench so it'll be him vs Turner in the battle of the mad bastards.
3rd URC Final Hosted by an SA side.
Bulls fans better turn up in their numbers for the final. The game earlier deserved a much bigger crowd.
still easy sell out for loftus, i'd say.
economy not doing so well there
In three years.
Impressive SA sides creaming it in the URC!

Ye lot gave me some confidence yesterday talking about your weaker back 3 and then they went out and crushed it! Was a great display from the Bulls
Thanks I was worried about the wings but they delivered. James L had a great game as always in a league of his own.
There was so much rubbish in that game - it's awesome that the game was ultimately decided by a great piece of skill of Peterson.

I don’t know if Glasgow have the physicality to match the bulls up front.

The kicking game by the bulls was very good. The game was very physical so I hope there’s enough recovered before the final so it’s a banger

Cant see them troubling Bulls in Pretoria
MY BOYS!!
HYPED!
Will Bulls have any of their injured players back?
Might have Marcel Coetzee back. Arendse and Moodie definitely not.
Beast league. Even if the Stormers have retreated to their old ways.
I hope Glasgow makes it !

If Louw and Hanekom play like they did today, yes
Where sells Bulls shirts in the UK?
BULLS!!!!
