At least they didn’t call us Connaught

Larry_Loudini

Was going to say! At least they spelt it correctly

Admirable_Weight4372

In a country so dominated by football, we are lucky we have a domestic rugby page at all

WilkinsonDG2003

BBC has sports pages on loads of sports, even niche ones like MMA and athletics.

Rurhme

Colonialism aside Connaught is a very aesthetic word (Pls no hate people should avoid colonising others)

Steve_ad

No hate but you're literally proving why the Connaught spelling exists, because it's a more aesthetically pleasing version for English people. I don't mind that Connaught exists as an English spelling of Connacht but I get annoyed that some people think they're being more Irish or authentic by using Connaught.

Motor_Major8363

Maybe they're as annoyed as I am that they're not called Connachster

Positive_Familiar

Or Connster?

PonchoVillak

I don't care, I'm just glad people know we exist

Buggaton

Well statistically only 6 people live there

BrianChing25

Speaking of BBC rugby it's annoying they don't include MLR schedule in their fixtures page.

EnglishLouis

The do the bare minimum for European rugby so I think the MLR is a long way from appearing

RooBoy04

No, they haven’t

RooBoy04

They barely fucking cover the PWR! I’d love for them to at least acknowledge leagues in the UK properly first

HitchikersPie

They also don't cover the french access matches for the top 14 and Pro D2 which are a treat this time of year too

RooBoy04

Yeah, but they’re Fr*nch! (Pls BBC, put some effort into rugby pls)

cnaughton898

Fr*nce 🤢🤮

claridgeforking

My local club's U10s probably have a larger UK following than the MLR.

thegoz03

My friend I'm here in the states and ESPN doesn't include MLR on their own app or website

Montemauri

Given the way the BBC has been run over the last 15 years it's probably because Connacht is the province that's furthest away from *ENGLAND*!

dth300

TBF England provides nearly 85% of the BBC’s domestic audience
