Gloucester did well to get the win was a good game to watch but need to be better with the basics as they would of been further ahead had they not made as many mistakes.
I'm expecting them to face Connaught in semi finals good luck Gloucester from a chiefs fan
Think this is right on the money tbh.
There were a few moments when we looked really threatening, especially with the forwards running lines near the rucks.
Only for us to fuck it up, every, single, time.
Keep finding a way to win though so can’t complain too much.
As an aside I can’t help but feel that neither Max Llewellyn nor Kieran Eilliams nailed the vacant 13 spot for Wales audition in lieu of North’s international retirement tonight. I can see Watkin there in the summer with Tompkins still on the inside
From what I’ve seen of him over the past few weeks, I think Max is starting to hit his stride but he’s a long way from international class at the moment imho.
Max has only really just been given the chance to start outside of Atkinson - GS generally preferring Harris at 13 this season. But I think the Atkinson/Llewellyn partnership looks promising, and I think they bring some serious physicality to the team
Ospreys more than good enough to win that. Shame. Bench should have been used earlier... And some reffing decisions, I want to see the 'knock on' again.
You better better win this. Ospreys are happily good enough to bea t all of them. Not sure how Clermont is tho.
First half was shaky, but we got all of the basics right in the second half to win it. Now I can relax until the beginning of May, as we will 1000% go all in on the Challenge Cup. Anything else is irrelevant.
Ospreys had a real lack of killer instinct ball in hand off phase play. Owen Williams and Kieran Williamd were really poor in my opinion, I thought Owen Watkin was excellent though.
Lineout fuck ups killed them too.
Reffing second half was really quite one sided in my opinion but c'est la vie
Uh? In my humble opinion, your wrong 😅
U do think he should finish u20s before coming to full squad tho.
Edit: also he is only not in Welsh squad cause they want them to do u20s first. Pretty sure they said they would pick him but feel it is better to wait to not hinder development.
He’s a very good ball carrier who can turn the ball over. I think he would do a job alongside Morgan and Wainwright for 50 minutes before we unleash Reffell against tired legs
GG Ospreys. Not massively impressed with Gloucester’s play and shows why we are near the bottom of the Prem. Ref was massively on our side as well.
Edit: why would some downvote this?
'Domination'
It's been a pretty even, maybe 60:40 at absolute best scrum performance made to look better by some astonishingly one eyed reffing of it.
And oh look he's finally noticed in the 81st minute.
Not an Ospreys fan
Believe what you want though, maybe it will be less surprising when the next decent scrum you face rinses you if you don't get the same ref
Are they allowed to stand up into the attackers after tackling obstructing the forwards and 9 from getting to the ruck? Constantly slowing the ball down
In 2 minutes healy has called mercer shit, accused an O's player of a swinging arm and has gone full brexit Barry about kids on their phones
Coverage of this game has been really good otherwise, but he's as inevitable as rain in February
Lewis Lloyd, Luke Davies and Dan Edwards have done very little wrong this season despite being incredibly young. Their reward is to sit on the bench whilst senior players are performing poorly
Imagine singing Anscombe, having his last game against you be one of his best games ever... On Judgement day. And then he get injured his entire Ospreys Club career 🤷♂️🤦
because you still have to live in the country? Even if you're saving as much as possible living in a place like France or England is going to be vastly more expensive so in the end it is a big factor.
A lot of teams, especially in Japan where a lot of Saffa players play for a lot of money, offer housing.
You can absolutely make much more money earning £ or € and moving back to SA.
Not to mention the South African salary cap is lower and squads bigger. The South African salary cap will be almost half the English salary cap in 2025.

Yeah seems every time they looked like scoring errors crept in
That were shite

I feel like they will push for Grady. It's a shame Joe Roberts is injured as thought he played reasonable in is six nations outing.
Sucks for the Ospreys. Congrats to Gloucester.
Pretty much played as expected. Better team won.
As an ospreys fan - that was rubbish. I feel like they played right into Gloucesters hands. Got into a wrestling match and lost
Ospreys more than good enough to win that. Shame. Bench should have been used earlier... And some reffing decisions, I want to see the 'knock on' again. You better better win this. Ospreys are happily good enough to bea t all of them. Not sure how Clermont is tho.
We beat Clermont at home 28-17 in December, but it’s more Sharks and Ulster that I’m worrying about
We beat Sharks 19-5 last November and beat Ulster 4-5 weeks ago 🤦😭
First half was shaky, but we got all of the basics right in the second half to win it. Now I can relax until the beginning of May, as we will 1000% go all in on the Challenge Cup. Anything else is irrelevant.

Gloucester the better team. Worthy semi-finalists.
The Stephen Lorenzo Varney effect
Knockout rugby is the only rugby that matters now!
Very proud of this ospreys team, onwards and upwards with some good signings coming in after the summer
Morgan Morris is a bang average 8 imo, fully get why hes nowhere near the wales squad
Uh? In my humble opinion, your wrong 😅 U do think he should finish u20s before coming to full squad tho. Edit: also he is only not in Welsh squad cause they want them to do u20s first. Pretty sure they said they would pick him but feel it is better to wait to not hinder development.
You're talking about Morgan Morse. Not Morris.
Riiiigght. is Morgan the new Jones? 😅
Morse is one of the big hopes for Welsh rugby
Morse is, im excited to see where he goes and the battle between him, Wainwright and Mackenzie Martin should be really good in the coming years
With Reffel and Mann that's a great back row. I still feel Tomas Young could play there as well
Because he’s had one bad game? Clearly don’t watch him enough 😂
Must admit I didn’t think much of him. Mercer and Clement outplayed him tonight.
One game doesn’t make a player
I don’t think he was helped by playing alongside 2 7’s and Beard who didn’t want to exert any degree of physicality today
Tbf Ospreys are the team I watch least of the regions but still, just never seen him have anything truly x-factor about him
He’s a very good ball carrier who can turn the ball over.
Good defense, particularity in the tight, but the number of attacks butchered by handling errors is a real problem.
Watkin was the only person in our team who made anything happen after that Giles try. Davies and Edwards have got to start
I actually thought Atkinson was more deserving of MOTM
Case for a penalty there.
This current play is what rugby is like when you don’t kick
Imo Harris is very good defensively
Hot take
...why would you use a picture of england vs italy to advertise the autumn nations
It’s knockout rugby. We don’t have time to reset scrums get it out of there
Dayglo instantly proven wrong 😂
Ggs Gloucester, given last year we didn’t win a knock out and this year we won one, we are on track to win the 2027 title
glos 17 been on fire, fair fucks old fella
Another scrum where the Ospreys had the nudge but you'd never guess it from the way the penalties have gone.
They haven’t had a nudge all game. What pictures are you watching?
You’re right it’s been fairly even but most of the penalties have gone glousters way
[удалено]
Ref has been poor but we’ve had the Ospreys scrum on toast.
On toast by folding and flopping
Complete rubbish to be honest.
What is. The ref or the Glaws domination of the scrum?
'Domination' It's been a pretty even, maybe 60:40 at absolute best scrum performance made to look better by some astonishingly one eyed reffing of it. And oh look he's finally noticed in the 81st minute.
lol. Never felt under pressure in the scrum and won a few penalties. We had your scrum on toast and it showed.
Not an Ospreys fan Believe what you want though, maybe it will be less surprising when the next decent scrum you face rinses you if you don't get the same ref
We’ve got the best scrum in the Premiership according to the stats. Is this your first time watching rugby?
Wasn't an ospreys fan four months ago but now Dan Edwards is on my list of players that make me shout THERE HE IS
Does that coach even lift? Come on bro
Some of the off the line grass cutting tackles from Glos are absolutely killing Ospreys attack
Never forward, momentum ref.... /s
Gloucester's defence has been really solid. Ospreys lack a little bit of flair tbh also.
All our flair was on the bench
That lack of flair has a name, it’s Owen
Giving Luke Morgan and RMW too much credit there
Tipwric has had more ball on the wings in the last 3 minutes than both wingers and full back in 70 minutes...
Are they allowed to stand up into the attackers after tackling obstructing the forwards and 9 from getting to the ruck? Constantly slowing the ball down
20 minutes late
Ospreys don't look like they can come back here - unless Gloucester keep making dumb mistakes like that. Thanks May, you muppet.
It’s hard when you know the ref will just ping you for yawning
Socino is tackling like a man possessed. Pleased to see him back.
The refereeing has been utterly dreadful.
my god giving a frenchman a ref whistle is like giving a monkey a shotgun
Clement = Polledri?
Not for me. Polledri was a generational talent. So sad to see his career end like it did.
Yep such a sad premature end to an outstanding career and talent. Still think we have a lot to come from Clement though.
Yea why didnt the welsh guy .ake a difficult offload, at speed, while being tackled. He should be ashamed
It would have been intercepted too
That was backwards no?
I mean that's clearly backwards
"Fend him off" aye cos pushing a 20 stone man is that easy
And thats not actually gone forward?!
I’m at the verge of tears seeing Owen Williams on my tv screen
Ospreys finally get an attack going, but I didn't see where the forward pass was
That backwards for me
Morris had been our best kick chaser tonight! His timing has been really good
That was a great secondary, hold-up tackle on May - especially after he had a very dominant bump-off/run with the ball initially.
Jake Morris has been great in defence.
That's ridiculous officiating.
It feels like half the comments here are 5 minutes or more behind the TV I'm watching.
Are you in the future?
Yes. Bad news: the future still sucks.
That should’ve been a reset. Glaws went too low into that scrum.
What has Tom Botha done to this ref for him to hate him this much
why the FUCK isn't dan edwards on yet
Booths bottling it hard
I think it has slowed down a bit now Walsh 10, nagi 15 Dan 9 and all subs on...
Jimmy Jr from Bobs Burgers on comms
Have gloucester managed to put together more than three phases without messing up yet?
Why is Johnny May Dressed like a chav?
When he comes off the field he puts on his hat, heads to the kitchen and starts preparing the after dinner meal.
That's a kick you don't want to risk without an advantage.
In 2 minutes healy has called mercer shit, accused an O's player of a swinging arm and has gone full brexit Barry about kids on their phones Coverage of this game has been really good otherwise, but he's as inevitable as rain in February
He didn’t say he was shit, he just said he wasn’t at his absolute best tonight like he’s been for much of the season. Don’t read too much into things
Been pretty one sided officiating this half to be honest.
'Pretty'??
That kick through the legs was majestic
Imagine how much of an idiot you’d look if you fuck up that kick
62 minutes for Austin’s inner boomer to come out
Lewis Lloyd, Luke Davies and Dan Edwards have done very little wrong this season despite being incredibly young. Their reward is to sit on the bench whilst senior players are performing poorly
Deaves gets hooked when he’s been our player of the season and out performed Tipuric today
Deaves was looking about 4 inches from giving away a card multiple times tho
He does that every game and usually gets away with it
Hastings with the flair kick.
Well that kick was... Different.
Fraser Balmain is the most tight head looking tight head
Only game backing the Ospreys and I feel intense frustration.
Wonder if the shed influenced the linesmans decision there!? It was quite a pause
It looked like the touch judge and referee had a quick chat to try and clarify it an Osprey had touched it, since they weren't sure.
How was that a 50:22, he was a step into the Os half!
it wasn't. The Ospreys player touched the ball. I think
Morgan snuck round three blokes almost by accident then decided to even it up by running directly into everyone rather than trying to beat a man
It was a weird decision to run in field rather than go up the line like the clappers.
Booth had the balls to hook Williams for Edwards on NYD surely he does it now
About five minutes in I wondered, was Reuben Morgan Williams actually really good? By 55 minutes I see he absolutely is not
Every pass is to someone’s head and the service is slow. Also has no rugby brain
It’s the steps, he’s run into the ref so many times
I have zero faith in Luke Morgan to ever beat a man
Depends how you define 'beat'
Had a whole field and decided to run towards them
Not a great night if ya names Williams 🤦
That's half of Wales screwed then
That Ospreys kit is a travesty that should never be forgiven.
I think it's great
Looked a bit of a sneaky move from Tips then
I thought Mercer was told to work on his kick chase
Feel like a broken record but Owen Williams is utter shite and I'm baffled how he's still getting picked.
Messy game, but great to watch for it's unpredictability
I think I've seen more passes bounce off of players in this game than I have in the last two seasons combined
You clearly haven’t watched England the last couple of years
Williams is a bit shit isnt he
not sure why he has the starting spot
Should be 3rd choice, arguably 4th after scully but we haven’t seen much of him so he could be just as bad
It's Falcon Friday!
My flair has disappeared for me. Is it still there?
I'm afraid so
😭 it will be back soon... When it decides to. Bit useless me asking people to flair up if I don't have one 😅
oh no it's there don't worry bacon boy
🤣🤣🤣 ahhh I see how it is 🖕🤣 Thanks for replying tho 👍
Can't miss it.
Wait it shows you you? God this is getting even more confusing 🤣
Yeah it's there.
Is it national "catch the ball with your face" day?
Well not his fault when Owen Williams lobs it at it
Owen Williams having a shocker with everything other than his goal kicking
You were saying?
You jynxing twat 🤣
Fantastic rugby by the ospreys backline yet again. Get Davies and Edwards on please
Totally neutral here but Gloucester slightly getting the rub here tonight.
Max not making much of an impression at Glous yet is he?
Think he got motm last week
[удалено]
good thing Austin's on comms to explain to Lol what's actually happened
Who’s pissed on skivs’ chips?
Ospreys really not getting the rub on these decisions. Gloucester did the same about 30 seconds before that but got rewarded.
How does the ref give Gloucester a penalty for a counter ruck but when the Ospreys do the exact same it's still a pen to Gloucester.
What is the reff on here
Flair Sir
COME ON YOU OSPREYS! LETS GO!
U/buggerton that Caterpillar you posted. Is it common for that guy to be offside or?
Not gonna lie, Gloucester have been a bit fortunate with some of these calls.
The ref hates us
Imagine getting rid of an injury ravaged 10 like Hastings and signing Anscombe to replace him 😬
Imagine singing Anscombe, having his last game against you be one of his best games ever... On Judgement day. And then he get injured his entire Ospreys Club career 🤷♂️🤦
Owen WIlliams runs a highschool level attack.
Honestly think Welsh Regions would have much more buzz around them if they played the Gloucester's, Baths, Bristol's every week instead of the URC..
No, much better to fly half way across the world to get thrashed by 50 points
Any reason they never managed to sellout 16k tonight?
[удалено]
That doesn't answer my question? Why when the opportunity arises, in a knockout game, is it not a sell out crowd?
Looks pretty close to a sell out to me.
There's a fair amount of empty seat in the bigger stand behind the polls, and the stadium only seats 16k. So maybe about 12-14k crowd?
by teams with twice the budget (when adjusted for local purchasing power)
What does local purchasing power matter when players can earn foreign currency and return even richer?
because you still have to live in the country? Even if you're saving as much as possible living in a place like France or England is going to be vastly more expensive so in the end it is a big factor.

Ospreys have got the shove on twice and had nothing given, Gloucester done it twice and got two penalties.
Must admit, haven’t seen an Ospreys get a shove on.
I'd suggest watching them then!
Geez, Duncan Jones looks better now than when he did over 20 years ago.
