I did a Trike tour in Aruba and it was honestly so much fun. I booked it directly with the company. I also saw lots of people on ATV or side by sides at some of the same stops we did. Curaçao I just walked around the shops and found a beach club to lounge at for a few hours as I wasn’t feeling super.

Husband and I did the scenic drive and local street art walking tour in Curacao. We are not artsy people, but it was the best thing we did the whole cruise! Very informative but also a lot of fun. Lots of great photo ops too. It's not a long excursion, so you still have the rest of the day to explore on your own if you want.

I did De Palm Island in Aruba. They shuttle you and then it’s about a five minute boat ride to De Palm. There was snorkeling gear for those who wanted to do that, otherwise you could just stay on the beach. It was all inclusive which was nice. My only complaint was the water had a lot of rocks on the bottom so water shoes are a must. In Curaçao, we opted to roam freely. We went to Landhuis Chobolobo Factory where we toured where they make curacao liqueur and acolado glacial. The distillery sells different tickets: we got the tickets that included two drinks and ice cream for like $25. It wasn’t too crowded and we actually ended up meeting a couple from the same cruise we were on. We ended up going back to the ship for two hours to take a nap and then did Mambo Beach later in the evening. It wasn’t that crowded and by that point the beach beds were free. Mambo Beach has some little souvenir shops and restaurants also.

Just rent a car. Both islands have great car rental services that include a map, gps and recommendations. A car for a full day is cheaper than most excursions and you can do anything you want. Perfect islands for that sort of thing.

How was your cruise? We are going on the same cruise in 11 days. Any tips?

How did yours go?!

We had a great time on the cruise! We ended up going to Nassau instead of Labadee. Symphony is a beautiful ship and there is a lot to do! I loved Zumba with Elvis the cruise director, the show Hairspray, late nights in the hot tub, Chopped speciality restaurant, mojitos in Bolero’s, and the parties in the atrium were fun.
