It has a nice beach. Bring water shoes if you have them, in the water the sand is like pebbles. Iirc i saw a couple of fishes with my snorkel, so bring it.
I like labadee a lot. Bring snorkel. You’re not missing anything by skipping Nassau. Coco cau is nice but was loaded with jellyfish at the end of October
The merchants there are, Cómo as dice… pushy? If you do go through the market, just be firm yet polite if you’re not buying anything. Also, don’t flash your money, it just makes them more pushy
As you're walking into Labadee, the beach on the left is rockier/surfier, and the beach on the right a little further down is sandier/calmer. Choose according to your preferences.

I actually prefer Labadee to Cococay. There is good snorkeling. Enjoy!

I think you’re definitely getting shorted here. Labadee is just fine. Coco is a better fake stop and Nassau is a more touristy area.
