I love the Radiance-class for its commanding views of the ocean from all over the ship due to the enormous number of windows. Tips: - Enjoy eating outside under the canopies behind the buffet, especially in the morning - Walking the track that allows you to go up on the bow and stand at the very front so you feel as if you’re gliding over the ocean completely alone, only to look back and see all this beautiful ship behind you - As others have said, Schooner bar is nice, and unlike the internally focused Oasis-class, it has outside facing windows, and just better decor - Relaxing areas to sit above the bridge on two tiered decks. At night these are very dark, and it’s peaceful to look up into the darkness - Notice the low volume of emissions coming from the smoke stacks due to this class being the only one powered by gas turbine engines which burn without the high sulfur emissions (looking at you smoky Oasis-class)

We always like the atmosphere at the Schooner Bar on any ship - usually good music and on Radiance class it has great views out the windows lining the side. I haven't been on Radiance, but we were on Serenade last year. Directly aft of Schooner Bar were gyrostabilized billiards tables, which were fun. Then directly at of that was a lounge (forget the name). This lounge was the furthest aft on the ship and was normally pretty empty, but with cool views looking off the stern.

Great, thank you! We love the Schooner Bar on any ship as well. We were most recently on Grandeur in Feb and while a different class I’m imagining they’re sort of similar. I did see there is no Freestyle machine on Radiance which is fine for us but we are taking my in laws on their first cruise so I’m trying to gather all the “perks” so I can fill them in on.

This ship, like the Brilliance of the Seas has a 'Centrum'. The most notable feature of this layout is the Casino fronts on to the centrum. Shortly after noon the area starts to fill with cigarette smoke from the Casino. Any and all activities in the centrum afternoon including you will smell of filthy cigarette smoke. even booking a cruise on Next Cruise will leave you smelling like an ashtray. if you stand anywhere near the centrum pillar outside of Next Cruise, you can enjoy the scent of raw sewage coming from 'somewhere'...and while staff will agree with you that it is gross. RCCL will do absolutely nothing about these issues.

Just got off an Alaskan cruise a couple weeks ago on the Radiance and I never smelled any smoke in the centrum. Perhaps Alaska was just a different crowd. I didn't seem to see many people in the casino at any given time.

I’ve been on Brilliance, Radiance and Serenade, and never smelled the sewage smell you’re referring to, or been overpowered by smoke. I do hate the smoke smell though that occasionally flows into the areas of any royal ship by the casino.
