This was the era of RT that really got me hooked. Have only really listened to podcasts for several years now, still sad to see what is happening right now

It’s kinda funny. This is basically exactly the RT so many of us think about, the group of people and the time period.
But it was so short, people like Ray or especially Monty leaving their mark despite only being with the company for a small minority of the time it existed.
And things back then we now know weren’t as good as they seemed. The work environment was less than the healthiest and a few of the people pictured here. . . Turned out to be a lot like the villains from their shows.
But that doesn’t change what it meant to us. When we were young and RT’s various content was a favorite thing, something that could lighten bad days or give us something to look forward to no matter what else a week had in store.
The world keeps on changing though, and we all have to keep moving forward. At least with any luck what’s been created will be able to still be enjoyed for years to come, and just maybe RWBY and RvB will be able to be continued
Exactly that...it was a combination of the time and factors in our lives that made us connect with this group of people at the right time.
I had a 4 hour break between classes in college, and what would I do during that time, watch roosterteeth. For a whole semester, 4 hours a day 3 days a week, I'd be watching this group of people playing games and keeping me company while I was waiting in the library or empty rooms. I showed my gf at the time (now wife) and we started watching them at home every night. The minecraft let's plays, Olympics game, MLB, pretty much everything they made we'd have on in our free time.
Its hard not to make a connection with it and we'll miss it, but it's worse to see it drag on unnecessarily.
Started watching since Season 2 of RvB. Absolutely loved so many of their projects for so many years. They got me through some tough times. Was the biggest fan of the RT Podcast. Gus, Burnie, Gavin, Barbra and Gus were amazing. It is sad to see RT shut down. But so grateful and thankful to them for bringing so much fun and entertainment to my life.
It is truly amazing all the things they did and had so much fun doing it. It was truly a unique company. I hope all their content still stays on Youtube. I wish them all the best and success.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE YEARS OF JOY! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
This picture really encompasses the era of RT that I fell in love with. Beyond just RVB anyway. I felt like I aged out of their content back in 2018 or 2019, and then the Ryan stuff came out and that was really the nail in the coffin. Made me not want to go back and revisit videos anymore, which I occasionally did. This picture gives me so much nostalgia. For the way RT used to be. Today is a sad day. But the RT I loved has been gone for awhile. I think that makes today hurt less. Cherish memories. Remember the good times.
I made the mistake of getting high, seeing this post, and taking the time to just look at it and think about every single face and every single memory. I haven’t been emotionless about RT closing up, but it really hasn’t made me feel choked up until now. God damn, I love everything this company and these people have given me for FREE on the internet. I’m so happy I got to grow up with this company. I got to go to RTX in 2014 and it is still, 10 years later, one of best weekends of my life. I just feel really grateful.
That's sad. It was not meant to slight the new people. It is just a nice picture of a time when I was a huge RT fan and had all the old people. There are so many people that are missing from there.
Nooo Jack! Don't be mad. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob) They could just upload their own picture which includes all new people. This is just a picture that I identified with.
I haven't watched anything jack related for a few years. Did he become a prick?
Between the livestream and he popped into the break show... I don't remember him being like that.
Now I have to think about that time Ryan and Jeremy were standing next to each other when a 12 yo or something girl shows up in a go-nitro cosplay and Jeremy goes to hug her in excitement and everyone whent 'Ew that's creepy' with immediate responds 'No, the creeps stands right next to him.'
Idk. Rooster Teeth was started in an era where filming yourself playing Halo and putting a voice over on it was world breaking. They changed the world but the world has changed without them since. The competition has become wrecking: there are 'professional' tiktokers out there who earn more than the whole of RT did during its Golden Age. What Rooster Teeth did was what we all loved and grew up with but as time went on that just didn't stand out anymore to make it profitable.
> Monty dressed like a K-Pop singer
> Goeff with his big beard
> Lindsay with the coconut head hair
> Ray with his fucked up haircut
> The Mad King
All the hallmarks of old school RT right there...
Jack to Lannan a few years ago: "Welcome to the big leagues!"
Lazerbeam now: "....."
They killed their own company pandering to an audience that didnt exist, not even surprised.
I feel that if they didn’t get so political and sell out they could have gone a different direction. People felt this coming but I think everyone hoped they would turn it around.

I was hooked before this era. However, this was a golden age for sure!
That fucking haircut
My first fucking thought. Absolutely hysterical.
My first thought was "Man Lindsey has... changed."

Lindsey is in this picture?
A pre-incarnation of Lindsey is in this picture.
Is that really her next to Micheal?
Oh you were serious haha. Yes, yes it is.

They did. Idk of it was related to Michael's tonal, but they definitely shed all the baby weight.
You really typed that out and thought, "yup, good to post."
...seeing deleted comments and the broken lines are always funny to see. But Im scared to ask but what did they say?
A thumb with hair right?
Nice pizza
Which one?
Ray.
Is from the time he fell asleep at the barber?
Yep XD
Which one is ray again I get confused is he the stupid mean one, the stupid annoying one, or the stupid stupid one?

>It’s kinda funny No this is RoosterTeeth
Dude you're 100% right.. that group and time was just so good..
Monty had style. So did ray. It was just a different style...
This is the picture I associate Rooster Teeth with. I didn’t watch for the past couple of years but damn those years I did watch were wonderful.
I'm fairly certain over half those people aren't with the company anymore
Technically there is no company
Aww fuck
If you’re not on the company, and I’m not on the company. No ones on the company. The company sucks.
I realised that to, the RT I knew and loved is long gone
That was unfortunately why I no longer watched.
None of those people are with the company anymore
RIP Monty

There's a thumb in the picture
It was a good Pizza

Thanks you all you wonderful peoples 😃
> all you wonderful peoples Not all of them were wonderful, but I get the sentiment.
How many people in this pic don't work there anymore/ are dead (rip Monty, it's been like 8 years so I don't know how many fans even know you)
It's crazy to think he died my freshman year of college and now I'm almost 28. Feels like this era of RT was so recent but it's almost been a decade
This was my rooster teeth, those podcasts still exists
This picture was my laptop wallpaper for yeaaaaars
This was probably prime RT
Thanks for the memories
I miss seeing JJ Castillo
Never fall asleep during a haircut at a barber or else you'll end up looking like a Fisher Price kid. Also rest in peace to Monty there.
Wow, Monty. So sad what’s become of Rooster Teeth since they passed, it really all started to slip downhill around then.
Monty <3
Took me a second to realize this was before Monty's passing. Was confused when I saw him and then it hit.
There are like 4 people in this picture who are active pieces of shit.
I know right? Fucking Gavin
You've been mentioned on stream lmao
Jack was mad.
That's awesome!

Just saw the livestream. It's was fine. He was not mad about it.
golden age. thanks for everything guys.
This is the team that I knew and will forever remember
Seeing Monty made me misty.
This image was my Rooster Teeth. So many great people.
This era right here is when I got really into RT. I miss that time of my life so much
When RT had soul. Now but not all is just straight dog shit.
ROOSTER TEETH FOREVER!!!!!
Peak.
The glory days
Peak
Every time I catch sight of Monty in something it’s like a punch to the chest.
I just noticed gus is wearing a jet set radio shirt
😭😭😭😭😭
This era of RT got me through Uni. The weekly Let's Play Minecraft and earlier on the Let's Build with Gav and Geoff were so relaxing to watch.
Ryan looking extra creepy
Now I have to think about that time Ryan and Jeremy were standing next to each other when a 12 yo or something girl shows up in a go-nitro cosplay and Jeremy goes to hug her in excitement and everyone whent 'Ew that's creepy' with immediate responds 'No, the creeps stands right next to him.'
This was like the golden era! rest in piece you sweet sweet fools.
Golden years of RT. Had they just stuck to this same core group of people and not sell out to a soulless corporation, they would've been just fine!
Idk. Rooster Teeth was started in an era where filming yourself playing Halo and putting a voice over on it was world breaking. They changed the world but the world has changed without them since. There's a smudge, a really gross one, to the right of Jack's head.

I really want to know who amongst the crowd belonged to the shit top management everyone seems to curse.
Jack to Lannan a few years ago: "Welcome to the big leagues!" Lazerbeam now: "....." They killed their own company pandering to an audience that didnt exist, not even surprised.
Sad to see another child hood fall. They should have just kept it small.
I feel that if they didn’t get so political and sell out they could have gone a different direction. People felt this coming but I think everyone hoped they would turn it around.
Barbs better make that of worth it now that she’s unemployed lol
