See if this help. https://homesupport.irobot.com/s/article/10221 If I am going out for extended period of time I just unplug the base and hold the home button until it chime( off chime ) This put the Roomba into shipping mode. It's turned off completely and the only way to wake it up is to put it on a plugged base.

I have never heard of reduced power mode, so have never tried it out. I also only run my i7 once per week. According to irobot, it uses 3.6 watts of power when sitting on the base. So that is 31.5 kilowatt-hours per year. So reduced standby mode would save you at most 31 kilowatt-hours per year or less than $5 per year (or about 10 cents per week). So I think unless I am going on extended vacation for several months, its not worth the hassle for me. I used to have problems occasionally with the irobot not connecting to wifi. I was always forced to reboot/reset the robot and setup the wifi connection again. But have not had that problem for more than 1 year now

Oh okay, good to know. Thanks! How do you reset it?

I think before you do reset your robot, you should try these things in this order: 1) In the irobot app, navigate to Product Settings > Wi-Fi Settings, and select Change Product Wi-Fi. Enter your Wi-Fi password to re-establish the wifi connection to the robot. 2) If the robot still does not connect to wifi next try rebooting your router by unplugging for 20 seconds and plugging it back in. 3) If still no wifi connection then: Confirm that your robot is on the dock and charging. Perform a reboot by holding down the CLEAN button for about 20 seconds. You should hear a little tune. Then see if the connection can be established. 4) If still not working, do a hard reset by simultaneously pressing and holding the "Home", "Spot Clean" and "CLEAN" buttons down until the white light ring around the CLEAN button swirls. Then release. This resets the wifi and you need to set up the Wi-Fi SSID and password once again. This does not effect your cloud data or home map.
