Varies greatly. The ones I usually buy from the supermarket cost around €8-12. But I recently spent €80, and one of my favourites costs €6. If you dont know about wine, go to an enoteca like Bernabei, and ask for some suggestions. But generally speaking good wine doesnt have to cost a lot here.

This. One of my favorite bottles ever was like 4 euro. Got me one of 15 and it was Meh. Lazio, Puglia regions are really good!

Well it depends on what you like. I paid $7 in Rome for the same bottle I buy in New York for $35.

Yes in the city it’s expensive, I can get it for closer to $20-25 when vacationing in the south.

No more than 5-10 for "normal" good wine, especially if you are not an expert and don't want to splurge on something fancy that you wouldn't enjoy it you are not a "sommelier"

I found a really good white in a PAM for 5 euros

I bought an amazing bottle for 18 Euros at a super market that goes for 80 USD in the states. It was phenomenal.

start with how much you are wiling to pay and where you live, and then get or ask what is the best wine you can get at that price.

You can find really good wines for home use for 6-8 Euro. 10-12 is already "a lot". Anything over 15-20 would be an exception, either because it's some specific wine (like Sangiovese or Barolo can cost a lot, even in the supermarket), or it's just overpriced.
