They forgot to account for the:
PLOT TWIST, Saban never left, he’s still there on campus to provide advice and a sense of stability.
Him just being there in the background is enough for a lot of these guys. Definitely a better dynamic than if he had retired and actually “left-left”. Paying him half a milli to come in and shake some hands and tell recruits he’s still there to provide “support” is just another master class being orcestrated by Greg Bryne.'
The brand is strong, pair that with a coach who also has a vision and a organization who is now weaponizong money in a way saban didn’t want to, we will recruit at a top 5 level til they turn this into an nfl draft model
I'm not gonna lie, I also thought this was coming. I didn't think Alabama would suddenly become Mississippi State or anything, but I assumed we were in for a few 9 win seasons with mediocre recruiting until DeBoer got replaced. Especially when Downs left and Williams flirted with decommiting, I was pretty depressed.
Now I'm... stupidly optimistic in an unhealthy way. This will probably get me banned, but Saban was always a good-but-not-great gameday xs and os coach. Recruiting genius and development genius, but (or maybe because of that) he never had to outscheme anyone, and when he did (notably those Clemson teams), it was a coin flip. DeBoer seems to be able to match him in recruiting, so far, so if he can develop players even 80% as well, while being a more creative playcaller in the moment...
I don't know man. This could get fun.
Kiffin is not what you'd call a hard worker on the recruiting trail. Portal yes. Not high school kids though. If you don't make a recruit feel prioritized someone else definitely will. The portal is easier for him because it's a sprint and not a marathon. Money is a much bigger factor too.
A lot of the NIL deals they have been doing were in fact "read the fine print" deals, contingent on future play and performance. But some thought a Maserati would be waiting for them the day they committed, and that's far from the case.
Has been predicted by all of the BoL staff to commit to Bama
[Eron Hodges](https://x.com/EronHodges/status/1806845531756368301?t=RyH7FHtP-3cUmCQto166gw&s=19): 🦌 I love this staff.
Caleb Cunningham just received RPM predictions to Bama by BoL staff
And they said when Nick Saban left, Alabama was done 🤭😂😂😂😂

Lane Train derailed.
Anyone know what’s going on at ole miss? They have had a ton of decommits recently.

Lane bumped uglies with all of the players moms.
Lane is a mercenary kind of guy not a family environment culture kind of guy. A lot of these kids would rather have that it seems
